I've left my foreskin pulled back for years now and I'm quite happy I did. You can gain pleasure from rubbing your hand over certain objects like a sweater but if you have a open wound it will hurt. At first leaving the skin pulled back hurts when it touches stuff but before long it brings pleasure many times over then leaving the skin forward. I don't think you will cause any damage, permanent or otherwise, from exposing it to let it dry. When I was a teen I used to masturbate every night after getting in bed. It seemed to prevent nocturnal emissions and it was just plain fun anyway. Sometimes my foreskin would get caught behind the head while erect and at that age erections didn't just go away instantly after the fun was over so I had two choices. Leave it there or try to get hold of it and pull it back. The latter was usually somewhat painful so I usually just went to sleep with it back there. That was more fun anyway because if it happened to stay back until morning it would be nice and dry, much less sensitive and it felt really good touching and rubbing the dry head.
Later in life I discovered a better way to quickly get the dry smoothness that was so nice for masturbating by rubbing the bare dry head. I use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to wash it with while holding my foreskin back tight so every part gets cleaned with the alcohol. The alcohol kind of tingles and it is really stimulating for the action that comes after it dries. I agree. I have often said on this site: rubbing alcohol hardens the skin making it less 'wanting' to roll back which, as one who likes the look and feel of the retracted skin, I have enjoyed this for over 30 years.

I just came across the website of a surgeon in NYC who does what I would have wanted way back years ago. He calls it circumcision but it's more like a surgical permanent retraction. He cuts around the penis at the base of the shaft then makes another cut a measured distance up from it. Removes that sleeve of skin and pulls the upper part down to meet it and sews it there. The result is a fully retracted foreskin with the shaft covered with the inner foreskin just like when I pull mine all the way back tight and hold it there to masturbate.

I can see that removing that 'sleeve' would keep the foreskin retracted and the head bare, which I like look and feel of. There must be a serious reason to only cut near the head, maybe blood vescles near scrotum are too big,

I keep my foreskin back all the time. "...and it will dry out your penis head...". Yes the head dries out. One of the reasons I started keeping retracted all those years ago. It looks and feels great PLUS no smegma.

ALSO removing the foreskin only, By pulling the foreskin fully forewards will show where the the lump of the head starts and stops thus no risk of cutting the head.

I agree, sounds painful but if almost 'instant' problem is the healing which is the same for guys cut in hospital. Because they all naked and cut penis is held in the open, fresh air not touching anything, imagine infection less of problem ... I think I will stay with my retracted foreskin.
