The prescription drug Concerta is MPH or Methylphenidate a drug that similarly mimics the effects of cocaine, and amphetamines. You are basically taking legal Ecstasy which is a hell of a lot worse of the human body than T.H.C.  which has proven medicinal uses, including fighting depression.

So how in hell is it that in 1984(when you were 14 or 15), you were being robbed, and they took your wallet?  And in 1985(when you were 15 or 16), you had a job as a construction worker?  And the headline read, "Man survives five story fall," but wouldn't it of read, "Teen survives five story fall"?

Yeah, pretty sure you were baked when you wrote this.

ive been smoking since 7th grade and im 19 now and ive been taking adhd medicine (concerta, riddlin, also vivance) for my whole life pretyt much and i smoke everyday maybe an 1/8th on some days and its great it gives you a focused feeling while youre high. personally i love smoking on my medicine it makes me feel chill as hell while i get sh*t done too.

The effects of marijuana on the user is dependant on the strain they are using. Is it Sativa or Indica, or a Hybrid of the two. Different strains can cause different effects on the user. And not all user experience the same effects. Just like some people do well on Concerta while others don't. Some people do well on Sativa while others don't. Me: I just started Concerta. It makes me very tired. I still consume marijuana. Does seem to be any different then normal. When I take the concerta on it's own, my stomach is upset and I eat little. The countact this side effect I using go for a marijuana strain the induces hunger, but with little drying effects because Concerta makes my mouth dry.

Your son greened out. That had nothing to do with the concerta. just a kid smoking to much, and smoking too much first time.

I'd be careful when taking Effexor (aka Venlafaxine) and using marijuana. It seems that some people have had very bad experiences while others are fine. You don't know which group you belong to yet.

A quick Google search shows me that a number people who have taken Effexor and shortly - even two hours after taking it - smoked marijuana have experienced a dangerously high heart rate and palpitations with some cases requiring medical help.

After taking Effexor it would be best to wait a number of hours before smoking cannabis and even then smoking a smaller amount than usual to see how your body reacts.

I dont see any problems combining concerta and cannabis, even if smoking cannabis wont change the problems you are trying to fix with stimulants. I've been taking 18 mg concerta for about 4 years and Im a daily cannabis smoker. I usually take the concerta in the morning during breakfast to enhance my workday and getting things done, then I smoke weed/hash in the evening. Its important to take the medication at about the same time every day with some food. Even if you are smoking while the concerta is peaking, its actually likely to make you feel less stoned. Same goes for drinking. It might make you feel more talkative and mentally hyperactive.

Thank you so much for this!

I have just started Concerta at the same 18mg and I feel that we are similar in our lifestyles (am meds with food, enhance the work day and end with some cannabis time)

Yo i took concerta and smoked and now i camt focus for sh*t in class and reading is way harder for me, I hope it will go away but so far its been here for like 2-3 months

I'm 17 and I've been on concerta for about 11 years, I would advise you to avoid taking adhd meds at all because they suck. But as for mixing them with pot, you're gonna feel a little more paranoid and just recently I've had a weird sensation within an hour of getting REALLY high. I would have heart attack symptoms, and no heart attack. It is awful and part of the reason why I'm going to get off of concerta. But I mean its different for everyone, personally I don't think it's a good time.

That makes no sense since marijuana has proven to help people with seizures lol. I've done both for 7 years and been on ADD medication since I was in 3rd grade and I'm 25 now so I'm pretty sure he's good. Now alcohol is a different story and is known to cause increased side effects

Hey! I’m 25 and take 187.5 mg of Effexor per day. Have for a year now and I feel amazing. I also smoke every night before bed! It’s been a wonderful complement to the anxiety/depression meds. No issues for the past year! :)
