You will see very few negative comments because this is a business! All the positive comments are from people who are SELLING this product. Any non-food diet will help you lose weight, but maintaining this regiment for the rest of your life seems financially impossible. I would like to try it, but I could put my children through college on the money I will have to spend over a lifetime on it. Unless, of course, I lure others into buying it.

I used to drink the shakes for breakfast quite often. I can't say for sure, but I feel like I used to often get diarrhea/gas/cramps a lot more when I was drinking them. I don't have IBS either. I can't say that I lost or gained weight, but I also wasn't doing it as a diet. My ex just used to drink them and made them for me all the time.

Haha! That second link is a load of c**p (no pun intended). The shakes taste great, and though I don't really believe the whole "cleansing" fad going around, I stick with Isagenix just because the Isalean shakes are awesome. But even if it was true that she didn't like the taste of the shakes (and lacked the ability to brush her teeth afterward), the cleanse program is a low-calorie diet. If you are overweight, and you start to exercise and restrict your calories, you will lose weight with or without a product like Isagenix. So either she was doing the program totally wrong, or she is lying. I lean toward lying since it's an ad for a different "cleanse".

Here's the facts: The core Isagenix products are food. That's it. Protein, Carbs, Fats, Vitamins and Minerals. Natural and organic. (Not non-food as somebody else wrote.) It's possible that some people are going to have allergic reactions to some of the ingredients, just like any food might cause. And I've seen one detractor debate as to whether the quantities of vitamins are appropriate for daily consumption (but she didn't complain about the lack of nutrients in store-bought products). Other than that, it's just food. They try to give you a good bang for the buck nutritionally, but if you are not concerned about that and you can find food cheaper elsewhere, then it's not for you.

But for me, I worry about getting all the nutrients my body needs, and I have a tough time keeping my daily calorie intake low enough to lose weight without assistance. For people like me, I haven't seen anything better.

I could not agree with you more. The amount of facts and balanced info out there about isagenix are so tiny.

So tiny in fact that I created a blog just to catalog all the questions I believe should be asked -- and answered -- about Isagenix. I am hoping to get input from as many people as possible, and welcome contributions at:

I stumbled on this site when I was trying to find more information on Isagenix

I took isagenix for about 5 months - it eased my digetive problems and I was impressed at how the shakes gave me staying value from one meal to the next. What I was concerned about in the cleanse and the tonic was that they contained so much fructose - which we know now causes more obesity than ordinary table sugar.

I lost weight but after 5 months started to feel hungry and started to eat more than was suggested. So I stopped the program and while I didn't increase weight dramatically, i increased a great deal of lumpy type of fat around my mid section.

I saw two problems with Isagenix. One, was that due to the high fructose content when I stopped the program I was left with a sugar craving which had me adding sugar to my coffee and tea to give me the satisfaction I had with Isagenix. Secondly I wondered if the high fructose content multiplied the fat cells in my body so that when I stopped the program and started eating normally those cells took on a life of their own. I could be wrong about the latter but I have never felt so fat type sloppy before.

Thought I would write my own experience as I was combing the internet to see if anyone had a similar experience. I'm so distressed with the extra weight I was thinking about going back on the program - but what would be the use if the frutose content is ensuring that weight gain will happen again when I go back to normal eating.

I want to know all information about this product.  My parents have been on it for a week, with a weight loss between the two of them of over 30 lbs (because of my mother's medications she has not been able to lose weight for over 10 years and her doctors told her that's just how it will be until she dies), both of them no longer are having problems with sleep apnea, both have immense energy, my mothers major depression is getting better... the list goes on and on.

BUT I know that there has to be something negative out there about this product.  Other then hearing you have to stick with it forever (which my parents have both decided they want to do because of how well they feel), I'm not seeing much that is negative about it.  Now do I want to stick to something that is apparently healthy for the rest of my life?  I want to know if this has caused health problems for anyone, if anyone gained ten pounds because they went to dinner one night, if it caused anyone to have a stroke, etc.  These are the things I want to know.

Hello All.

I was once a "FAN" of isagenix and found it to be the best product out there! I used the product for almost two years and was amazed by the results.. and very happy with my body and the weight that i lost.

I had maintained my goal weight for a long period of time and started to phase out Isangix slowing.. Once i started doing this.. all my stomach issues started... to the point i was hardly eating anything... I was introducing plain foods back into my diet.. and Isagnix was not one of them!

Long story ..short... my body could not digest "normal" foods properly and all the "good bateria" was flushed from my system..

End result... i was diagnosed with IBS.. I NEVER had any stomach problems before Isagenix.. so i can only assume it may have been a huge cause ! I also have a friend that has had the same thing happen to her.. and she now has IBS.. AFTER ISagenix...

Yes, i felt GREAT while on the product! It was AFTER the nightmare started!

I have never been able to find a link between Isagneix and IBS on the web and my doc will not confirm it.. but i believe that is what happen..

I used Isagenix for 3 months starting May 2010. By July I was sick in bed with severe back and side pain....thinking it was muscular I went ot an orthopedist....nothing there...I STRONGLY believe it was kidney or gall bladder related. So I stopped using it and the symptoms disappeared....and although I lost 18 lbs...I gained it ALL back in 6 months..very disappointing.....because it was a convenient and tasty diet.

I starting using Isagenix in May 2010. By July 2010 I was sick in bed with severe back & side pain which I believe was either kidney or gallbladder problems directly related to the diet. Once I stopped using Isagenix the symptoms disappeared. I lost 18 lbs but put it all back on withing 6 months. I tried the product again in February 2011 and starting getting the pain in my back again within 2 weeks....very disappointing since it was an easy diet to follow!

I have plenty of negatives to provide you for Isagenix although judging from the time you posted - it is too late - you probably already tried it.

My husband has Crohns disease.  He tried the whole Isagenix regime and quickly (within 2 weeks) had developed severe pain and Crohns symptoms.  It is 2 and 1/2 yrs later and he is still battling horrible Crohns symptoms.  He lost over 70 lbs from the first flare of taking the Isagenix.  Let me state that was WITHOUT trying.  He has had 75% of his colon removed.   THat was from being seriously ill with Crohns.  I highly recommend ANYONE with an IB disorder to stay away from this product.

I agree, I did the 30 day Cleanse and lost 15 lbs, have since gained 22lbs in 5 months after going off of it, I am very active and eat extremely healthy and clean and continue to gain, there is something very wrong with this product... it promises that after cleansing you should have an easy time losing weight as it is supposed to cleanse you of environmental toxins...I believe it is made up of addictive compounds.... hence the weight GAIN!!!

I have an apt with a Naturopath to find out what is going on!

I have been off the program for 5 months, have not been eating very wise at all but have not gained any weight back so I would have to disagree with your statement

After buying a 'shitload' of Isagenix products based on my Accupuncturists recommendation, I found that the products made both me and my husbank SICK.  And, since it was more than 30 days after purchasing the product they won't even talk to me about returning anything.  The business is not interested in Health, but in building a pyramid scheme.  I received NUMEROUS emails after purchasing the product, but NONE of them were about how the product would affect me (negatively), but about how much money I could make by selling these products.  WHAT A SCAM!  Don't purchase this product unless you are in perfect health already and have no taste.
