Mines on the left as well! I've been made fun of for it in the past

My protruding rib is also on the left side. No pain or discomfort though. I haven't shown my Dr yet but am going to , just to get an answer.

Wow. I have the same problem except that it hurts so bad at times. The ends of the two ribs in the lower left rib cage are protruding out. Also, the left bone in the neck region (there are two soft bones or tissues just on the left and right of the trachea and can be located by touching the region) is unnaturally hard. I also feel pain in the upper back region on the left side, just where the blade of the left shoulder begins to protrude.
I think this maybe because of crackling my neck, which sometimes leads to immediate pain in the left rib.
Please help?!

The same thing is happening to me. I went to the doctor and he said it was a floating rib so I went and had a x-Ray done. I now know that my 9 and 10 vertebrae are twisted to some degree. So I waited 2 years to see if it would go back now I look like my whole rib cage is twisted and spun in different directions.

Did you have a weird popping like feeling in your left ribs after the fall while moving around? I recently fell on some ice(didn't land on my left said and didn't land on my ribs) and after that I started having some pain in my left ribs. I also have a left flaring rib cage.

!!! If you are still looking for an affordable alternative to getting a surgery, they make braces specifically for this condition! I have been thinking of buying one (they range anywhere from like $50-300s) as pectus excavatum runs in my family (why does it usually effect the left side??)! There are a lot of excercises you are able to do that can help improve posture (which in turn will aid in fixing the rib if you double with the brace)!

But I really recommend the brace, it's supposed to press the ribs back into place. I think it has a 97% success rate (If I remember correctly)! Anyway, if I'm not too late, I hope I helped some!

My chest plate is protruding on the left side and one of my ribs on the right side is protruding as well. And its getting worse. What could it be?

I have the same problem on both sides and I have scoliosis on top of it. I remember it started on my right side and now went to my left. It has never really effected me as much as my back does. I never talked to my doctor about it but I've had several X-rays on my back

omg i have this too! i'm a 15 year old F and if i lay on my back slightly bent i feel like my rips are wrong. i'm glad i'm not alone lol. i think a tension band will hep but i'm scared that one day if someone puts pressure on my rib the one under it will snap or if i move wrong i could cut a muscle

I noticed this on myself at an early age and thought it was kinda nifty. Now, try placing your palms together and stretch your fingers and place them against eachother. What is it that you see? Is one hand longer than the other? Again with the feet.., same, right?

I have noticed my left ribs protruding slightly for about a month now. Prior to that, I thought my lower left ribs were pointing inward causing me discomfort when I sleep on my left side.. I spoke to my doctor onetime and he thought it was fine! I'm little disappointed because many doctors would wait till the problem becomes more obvious then treat it with a surgery.. I just came across an exercise that will your posture.. My couch and car seat have a slight angle and I happen to sleep on my left side; this could be cause of the problem, and I happen to be low on vitamin D which helps the strength of the bones.. Weak bones plus bad posture are bad combination.
