Hi. I have this exact problem, although i had my appendix out about 6 months ago, and a small part of my bowel taken out yet i still get awful pains in my right side near my kidneys, iv had ultra scans and CT scans and yet they have all come back negative. Im waiting to meet my surgeon who done my appendics procedure because it could be linked with something with that, hoping it is cause im fed up with the pains i have at the moment.
but Good luck with your pains hope you get them sorted..

I have the same pain! I had my gallbladder out when I was only 15!! I then went on to have my appendix out a year later. Still to this day, I have pain. I played softball, soccer and ran cross country in high school, so I always thought that was the cause of my pain. Wrong. I am out of high school now, in college and I still have pain. Ibuprofen doesn't help it, Tylenol doesn't help it. Nothing makes this go away. I go on walks regularly, I take all organic supplements, and have regular bowels and my urine is clear. I WAS recently diagnosed with Diverticulitis, but that seems to have nothing to do with my pain. Its sharp, and nearly knocks me over. I have to lean on something when I get the pain, and have to sit down. Hot pads help to an extent, but I never know when I will get these attacks.

I too have all of these symptoms.  I had a total abdominal hysterectomy years ago, so wondered if it would be adhesions also.  CT came back as all normal, so did all labwork.

had same thing with all the same test. sometimes it stops for a long period of time then comes back. been going on for 7 years now. its manageable, just annoying.

Has anyone checked for intestinal parasites or worms? Or maybe an obstructction of another kind in the colon/intestines that may be causing gas buildup?  I would think that either could press on nerves, cause shooting pains both in front and back abdomen, in chest and even down the legs.  I just started with the pain two weeks ago, out of the blue.  I heart heart palpitations as well.

Hi, Don't know if anyone still checks this board. I have similar problems. I am a 26 year old female suffering from low right back pain and abdominal pain right near the hip into my stomach on the right side, this has been chronic for almost 2 years. In addition to this I often have pain in my glutes and hamstring especially on that side. I have had blood tests, urine tests, xrays, x2 mri's and x2 ultrasounds and have been to see a gastroentologist. All of these tests have come back normal except an mri on my back found osteroarthritis. My neurologist says this should not be causing this type of pain.I also had an episode a year ago where my legs began tingling from the knee down (like a cold burning sensation). I was put on Lyrica for this and used that for 8 months until the side effects were too much for me to continue. Since being off I have only had a few days of tingling but nothing that is unbearable. I am more so concerned with the back & abdominal pain that is very uncomfortable.

I used to be very active playing soccer competively as well as tennis twice a week. I am now not able to do any of these things. The pain in my back never goes away but I have good days and bad days. The abdominal pain seems to wax and wane and is worse when I am menstruating or having issues with bowel movements. I relay on a heating pad and muscle relaxers at times to get through the days. Right now I see a chiropractor, physiotherapist and massage therapist with no relief in sight. I am extremely frustrated and don't know where to go from here. Has anyone gotten anymore answers? Or suggestions for me to widen my search ?

Thanks for reading!!

I recently had sharp unexplainable abdominal pains.  The cause for me was a hidden abscess between a lower capped molar any my jaw that evidentally has been there for 4-5 years.  It probably has caused a lot of my issues those last years feeling sluggish at times And whatnot.  Until recently I guess it got larger and started seeping into my system.  I had no tooth pain until the very end which was just like a dull ache. Before that though, I had sharp abdominal pain starting in the very lower right, that seemed (over days) to move through my whole digestive system and caused pain through my whole abdominal cavity. Some of it felt like large pockets of gas that I couldn't expell naturally. I will spare you all the gory detail about the pain but it was a lot like what I have read on this blog.  Instead, I rather tell you what I've learned.

I learned most dental bacteria is anaerobic bacteria.  i learned anaerobic bacteria is a no oxygen bacteria that thrives in our teeth areas as well as our colon and other areas.  As they start attacking our soft tissues, they produce gas.  They can also track deeper in our bodies.  two days ago I had that tooth pulled.  I've been on clyndamicin for eight days.  Overall, I am feeling better.  Today though I feel worse than yesterday but it takes about five days for the bacteria/poison to work out of our system after the problem has been addressed. So being I had a fresh dose of it two days ago when I had that tooth and abscess pulled, I understand why.

I hope this post may help others figure out what their abdominal issues are.  I hope to be back to normal in another week as well.  I believe you can do blood tests as well to check for bacteria and/or get full mouth X-rays and see.

If there is someone in your area who does Polarity Therapy, please try it. Polarity Therapy is a specialized type of acupressure that very quickly gets blood, nerve impulses, and energy properly flowing to the painful areas and gets phenomenal results. I use it on myself, but to get started, I would always recommend that anyone see someone who knows how to do Polarity Therapy.
