I have a completely painless lump on the left side of my penis right at the base of the glans. It feels kinda like a raised vein but is best described as feeling like a piece of gristle about 1/2 inch long, maybe 1/8th inch or less in diameter... I first noticed this a few months ago after masturbating, I had a day of alot of masturbation and the day before that I had alot of sex with my girlfreind of the time... Now i am not trying to brag but I usually last an hour or more during sex and will do that two and sometimes 3 times a night with my partner, I probably had about 2 hours of intercourse with my girlfreind, then masturbated the next day and noticed this gristle like lump for the first time... well I let it go, laid off the masturbation, ended up breaking up with my girl so no sex, and in a few weeks it went completely away.... for the last 2 months I have been fine, masturbating occasionally with no lump popping up and thought it was completely gone until today. Lastnight I had around 2 hours of intercourse with the new girl and the painless gristle like lump is back in the same spot as before... its completely painless and underneath the skin, not really noticeable with the eye, I first noticed it was back when showering this morning as I washed my penis... also the size of the lump has decreased as the day has gone on
Bump... still no responses to this... this thing is still popping up once in a while, only after excessive use though, either masturbation or intercourse.... id sure like an answer..... when this lump pops up its still not painful at all...still no larger in size, but it does however go away faster than it used too.....
Hey guys. Listen, I think that you are overreacting a bit because lump on penis is something that happens very often to a lot of men so you should not be embarrased because of that. I have had a similar problem myself, and I can tell you from my experience, you will only get stressed and afraid the more you avoid seeing someone about your issue. So, if you are able, go and see a specialist. He will tell you what to do next, and he will probably relieve you of your stress. Let us know how it went and what he told you
Last night I noticed the same thing on mine :'(
I may try anti inflammatory tablets before I drop my trousers in the doctors.
Sods law I'm just entering into a new relationship, what will she think? Maybe, just maybe the ribbed effect will be nice for her ;-)
I reckon it must be the wan*ing,

My Story is almost the same as the first guys. I was having sex for about an hour with my girlfriend and the next day I went to masturbate and I noticed a lump on my penis shaft. What is it?????????
Jesus, still no answers to this... I still have this thing.. no bigger.. if I refrain from masturbation or sex for a few days its seems to go away, but I still get morning wood almost every morning so I think that keeps it coming back... its totally painless and it seems like if I squeeze on it while I am erect it decreases in size for a bit... still totally painless.. it really seems like its a clotted vein or something.............
I cant believe as long as this post has been up, with all the responses to other stuff on here, that no one has any ideas....... I dont have insurance so im not going to the frickin Dr.
Sounds like thrombosis, a clot formed by sweat glands or blood. Nothing serious from what I have read. Might take 4-6 weeks to go away. Hot or warmth might help it break up. Hope this helps, I'm going through the same thing.
i am 14 and have always had trouble masturbating and reaching orgasm , but tonight after watching hours of porn i gave it a go and i managed to ejaculate . i then went to have a shower only to notice a large bulge had appeared on the right side of my penis, i dnt know what the hell it is and im panicking , is this simular to what anyone else is having .
no panic needed.. it takes weeks healing time.. and also to think over how to change habits..
I am going on 8 months now with this thing, its not nearly as big as it was. Originally it wrapped halfway around the penis like a clogged vein. Now its just a hard bump inside. I would say around the size of a 1/3 of a steel BB on the top side of my penis a bit to the left and about 1/4 inch below the glans, when I get an erection it puffs up a little bit just to the left side of the hard part, but not much. when my erection goes away I can massage the area and the puffyness goes away but the hard spot still stays. I was taking vitame E and aspirin as a blood thinner and it seemed to reduce the size of this thing but the hard part is what worries me, im affraid it will never go away now. I still after all this time have no pain and am fully functional. I just want this thing to go away.
I have had the same problem for a couple weeks, sometimes its there, sometimes its not, mostly with erection. Same description as first post. I looked around and found this on it. I gathered its either caused from "stressing" your penis out through vigorous playtime, or from just some type of blockage of a lymph node there, (sweat glands/oil glands????) So im pretty sure its nothing to worry about. As more people than i would have thought have had this going on, and its not causing any of us any discomfort or lasting effects, dont fret about it. Im positive i have no STDs as i was recently checked along with my girlfriend. I hope this helps you guys out.
"There is a fiburous tissue that runs the base of the penis and when you over extend yourself sexually you can damage and rip these, thus giving you what looks to be like a small string-like "bump". If you are sexually active always have these things checked out by a physician to cure Anxiety as well as any dermatology issues. I am not a physician, just someone who had the same symptoms you did and what I have told you was what the GP told me."
another explanation i found and more precise.
Lymphocele
"A lymphocele is a hard swelling that suddenly appears on the shaft of the penis after sex or masturbation. It occurs because the lymphatic channels (which make up part of the lymphatic system along with lymph nodes or glands) in your penis have been temporarily blocked. The swelling should soon subside and will not cause any permanent problems."

I've had exactly the same thing for a couple of weeks. No sign of it going away, and I will be getting it checked out by the doctor. However, the explanation of a blocked lymph gland seems to fit. My lump appeared suddenly after a period of sexual activity, so I think I can rule our cancer. If I follow this hard elongated bump with my finger, it seems to connect to a "vessel" which runs right down the shaft towards the base of the penis. This vessel has little lumps along its length, which I guess are little valves or lymph glands.
I am not surprised that modern medicine has no treatment or advice, as people who suffer from lymphodaema (swelling as a result of poor lymph circulation and drainage) have no easy cures, and have to try to manage their condition as best they can with compression, exercise and directional massage.

K, I noticed that i had a bump near the head of my penis and went to the doctor, sounds pretty much like what everyone has been talking about, the doctor told me it was probably a semen ball, semen that has been absorbed through the urethra and reject to just under the skin, he said not to worry about it, DON'T TRY TO POP IT, he made that quite clear. It should go away after a couple of weeks and usually is brought on through "over use". He said that a warm bath will speed up the removal process. Hope this helped
