I have the same thing that was discussed. Like a small hard vein on the right side right underneath the head that is partially movable. After some research i found this Lymphangiosclerosis is a hardened lymph vessel, although it can feel like a hardened, almost calcified or fibrous, vein. It tends to not share the common blue tint with a vein however. It can be felt as a hardened lump or "vein" even when the penis is flaccid, and is even more prominent during an erection. It is considered a benign physical condition, although it can become uncomfortable during sex or masturbation. It is fairly common and can follow a particularly vigorous sexual activity for men and tends to go away if given rest and more gentle care, for example by use of lubricants. Even without rest or gentle care, in some cases it will simply disappear after a few weeks on its own. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lymphangiosclerosis
I am still planning to see a urologist as soon as possible to confirm what it is.

I had the same thing.. a little very hard lump at the underside of the base of my shaft. Absolutly painless and I could kind of "reach under" it, like it was attached to the underside of my skin but not to the actual shaft. I've had it for a month or so.

Just got back form the doc. and he instantly said just a cyst. He asked if he wanted me to have him get rid of it but I said nah.. it doesn't bother me at all. He said just kinda mess with it in the shower and stuff and see if you can get it to pop sometime. I said I'll keep it ribbed for her pleasure.

I posted previously here, and the lump/cord deal went away. Don't worry about it. I had mine for roughly a month and then it became less noticeable and eventually went away.

Though I noticed something else in roughly the same area that looks like a blocked vein. Im sure this will be gone with time too.

To the guy who posted on 3/16. Dont worry about it bro. Go get it checked at a urologist. It's not the end of the world to have this lump on your penis. It's not extremely painful and it doesnt affect sexual performance, then it's not worth worrying about.

Does Lymphangiosclerosis create a curve or bend in the penis?

I had the same thing, for 4 years now, and it appears and disappears with frequency of sex/masturbation.

I saw my GP and then a urologist when it first appeared 4 years ago. The GP was useless. The urologist knew exactly what it was. He said it was either a swollen lymph, or something doctors have just discovered which is caused by a hard tissue forming many years after circumcision.

The doc said he could remove it easily. I chose not to have it removed, but I am now considering the procedure. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks to see if it subsides again. My theory here is to never let anyone cut into to me...... unless it's absolutely necessary.

As far as anxiety goes, don't bother guys. Most chicks will never notice it. If they do just tell them it's a lymph gland thing that is common in guys that comes and goes, and tell them to enjoy the "free ribbed effect" while it's there. ;-)

That post is really interesting - I'm circumcised too, and I wonder if thats had an effect? I also brought it on with some excessive sexual activity and friction.

How long does it take to disappear, in your experience? And do you find that you have to totally abstain from sex or masturbation for a while?

Has your urologist recommended any oral or topical treatments that can lessen the swelling? And would there be any scars from the removal?

Hi Guys

I had been freaking out about the same thing. A small band under the skin on the left side of my shaft.
I had been laying off from anything for 3 weeks, applying hot packs and taking ibuprofen etc but nothing was changing.
But I bought a small tube of Dencorub (I'm from Australia) which is a heat gel for bruises, muscles, joints.
Just put a tiny drop on the problem area a few times. It can get hot, so apply less if so.
this had made the cord go away completely for the first time. I will keep applying this gel on and off but it's looking good so far

cheers

My urologist told me my body would absorb it inside of a few months. He was mostly correct. Inside of 6 moths it was 75% gone, but now four years later it reappeared after some vigorous sexual activity.

You don't have to totally abstain from sex for it to go away. I made that mistake.....and it didn't help at all. Just go easy on yourself.

I have the same. It's a shame that you can't post pics (can you??) although there ain't much too see.

Basically, the vein tht runs to the left of my shaft, from my body aalong the shaft then disappears into the penis around about the start of the head of my penis, has sort of gone 'lumpy'.

I have searched for varicose veins and it brought me here!!!!

As far as I can tell from feeling along the length of the vein, it is sort of lumpy all the way and then it sort of goes deeper inside my penis and I can't feel it anymore.

I have had this for just over 1 week, following waniking for several hours (mostly sloely) over a porn site.

I also had sex with a guy the night before and swallowed his cum, and I think that is mainly hwere the paranoia creeps in.

So far I haven't taken anything and it hasn't gone away.

I will try taking aspirin and ibruprofen and let you know what happens.

You guys can google "sclerosing lymphangitis" "lymphangiosclerosis" "localized lymphodoema of penis" if you want more info on this. Unfortunately, I haven't really come across much info that describes its recurrence and the treatment thereof, and I've experienced this 3 times in the last 6 months now. Not fun! Anyway, I'd be curious if anyone else has had such recurrence (has diminished over a 1-2 week period each time), and if anyone has actually had it excised. I'll be sure to keep you posted on any progress on this end. Thanks!

I have had this for 6 months, doesn't seem like it will go away on it's own.

Me too - its really getting me down. Its clearly not just going of its own accord, contrary to some of the posts above.

Has anyone heard of this being connected to any STDs?

Any information would be great, this is very worrisome

My boyfriend is going through the same thing. I really want to know what it is. He told me that it doesn't hurt and that it decreases in size. But there is nothing that I can do cause i'm not a doctor. But I think that he needs to go. So once he does I will be sure to tell everyone on here what it is.

Ok, so I have a acquired the same thing as described above. It's a bit hard under the skin on the shaft of the penis near the head and extends around my penis in a half circle shape. I'm a cyclist and have recently engaged is some dry humping with a very strong woman. I've had it for a week now and wanted to know what had changed since your last post? (I'm talking to everyone that had contributed to the thread).
