no, it erraticates them completely. It does for me. I wish it wasn't true but it is. Works like a charm.

My experience is that use greatly increases my all around sense of well being. When discontinued, my hot flashes increase dramatically and I have digestion problems. I feel irritable and discontent.

I have used marijuana since I turned 45 and the hot flashes never stopped. I could not sleep and I was always on edge. It really helps. I has to be good marijuana because the weak stuff does not work. Thank God for this.

I'm 49 and have found for the last six months that smoking pot in a small amount greatly relieves my peri-menopausal symptoms. The hot flashes decrease and the moods even out, and the nausea that had me not wanting to eat fades. Honestly, if it wasn't for a little smoke I wouldn't leave the house some days - I'm just miserable without it.

I'm wondering if they can help if you have experienced "volcanic" hot flashes for over 26 years? I've tried every medication, holistic and not. bio identicals, you name it. nothing works. anyone have experience with this and medical marijuana. thanks

please don't take premarin. look up how it is made. it's horrible. and when i found out I refused to take it anymore. i've used patches, pills, bio-identicals etc and still have terrible h ot flashes almost every 20 mins round the clock and have had them now for 26 years. they started 1/2 hour after i woke up for my hysterectomy/overies removed and haven't missed a day without them. i'm now looking into the medical marijuana for relief. it's a last resort but everyone says it works so i want to try it.

I am also in surgical menopause and am currently on a patch. I would like to know if cannabis is a good alternative to using a patch. I suffer from insomnia, hot flashes, and occasional headaches. Does anyone have any research info?

I have had hot flashes and extreme nausea most of my life (but I'm only 25). Recently I have been using marijuana to keep both under control. It's really amazing how well it works.

Hi,I have what they told me is stage 4 Prostate cancer,I am on hormonal treatment and the hot flashes suck!! I tried some   green tea with a tea ball and just a little bit of marijuana in it . Did not have one hot flash for 5 hours.  I used the tea ball for 4 cups of tea. So yes marijuana does stop the hot flashes.

I am 49 and I'm having all the symtoms of menopause . They put me on xanax which I really don't like . Tried a hit of marijuana and I immediately felt much better . I only do one hit because that is all I need . Makes me more relaxed and I get my appetite back. The hot flashes have seemed to calm down also. I really hope to not have to take xanax anymore , as I don't like the side effects.

I am 44 yrs old and the hotflashes, migranes and nausea associated with perimenopause are completely debilitating for me, but especially the hot flashes.  I have had some that were so severe that I have seen steam coming out of every oriface of my body and thought I was giong to burst into spontanious combustion!  I have delt with hormonal issues most of my life and the hot flashes started for me in my mid 20"s.  I too have found that the only way to really control any of these symptoms is through the use of marijuana.  I didnt like the idea of smoking at first because of an increased risk of cancer, but medidally accepted hormone therapy drugs can cause cancer at a must quicker rate... It starts as breast cancer but quickly spreads to the lungs even if you dont smoke.  I know of a few women that this has happened to and the sad thing is the drugs didnt do much good in the meanwhile.  I am in michigan and wonder... does anyone out there know of a doctor to see so I can be able to get marijuana legally to control these terrible hot flashes?  I am at the end of my rope and am basically living as a shut in at this point!

I know what you are going through! I will be ok one minute but the next I am soaked in sweat and have even seen steam coming off of me! If it werent for marijuana I would never even be able to leave my home... its the only thing that seems to work
