I thought I was losing my mind. I have chronic neck/back pain, PTSD, topped with terrible hot flashes. I started using marijuana about a year ago for my pain and mood. I have been on and off opiate pain meds for years. Never like them. The constipation and fear of getting addicted to opiates. I'll use marijuana for my pain rather than a pain pill first. About 6 months ago I began sweating profusely night and day. My mood suffered a great deal with this on top of everything else. Even with HRT, the sweating persisted. But I began to notice that the times I would use marijuana for pain and anxiety, the hot flashes were much relieved. Thank you!

I have been having hot flashes for 5 yrs now, and they are horrible, like someone said volcanic. Some make it hard to even think straight. I find that smoking or consuming marijuana helps enormously. I smoke it and have hours of relief. But I can't use it at work obviously, I need to concentrate. So I'm looking for the CBD kind, which doesn't get you high. I was recently in CO and bought some elixir, and some tea. I will report how that all goes.
But yes, smoking or ingesting marijuana has helped me enormously. Unfortunately in my state, it's still illegal.

You are all lucky the ones who smoking weed calms down the hot flashes. Whenever I smoke some never fails to just hit me sooo hard to the point I passed out the other night. I keep having really strong ones when I smoke weed.
