Stomach problems,  OH YEAH, I was in the hospital approximately 20-25 times, staying no less than 3 days no more than 11 with stomach pains.  I was told I had IBD, GERD, IBS yada yada.  This went on for atleast 4 years.  From age 16 to 38 I have stopped onlyfor my pregnancy and a separate two months for a job, so basically a veteran smoker for 21 years of my life."   It wasn't until maybe within my last four stays in a hospital in Colorado that one young Dr. basically told me.., look, lets cut the c**p, are you a chronic smoker?  I didn't admit it.  I would get such awful pains, I would lay in the warm bath tub sometimes for 6 hours strait and throwing up because the pains were soo so hurrendously painful, eventually I even tore my esophogaus from the wrenching and screeming in horrible pain..  For the last two years, let's just say I always had, constantly, had a bowl, except at work.  By the time I stopped, I was taking 14 pills a day (all prescribed for stomach related, I never was one for pain killers & such) , just to be able to sip 7up.  I would only eat like every other day, because the pains my stomach would have, were pretty insane. The sick part is... Couldn't eat yada yada, but I still smoked every waking moment of the day back then.  Basically my lifestyle changed and the best thing to do was ace the "BH'er".  Stopped for two months and after the first 5 days, ALL my symptoms went away, I can eat now, drink soda, beer (at a minimum, for fear of stomach).  It's amazing how many of my fellow friend smoker's have such of the same symptoms, smoke chronically and have same stories of lying in the bath tubs, yada ya.  I found this site, looking into some facts for a friend who is going through this.  Best of Luck.  PS  I still smoke but maybe a bowl or two a day, at night, I watch what I eat and I still carry my stomach meds in my bags, always.

Ok I had to get in on this . Make sure you check your poop bro see how your body is doing If you keep feeling swollen or pain or your stomach makes noises all the time is the weed bro no. Doubt about it I had some issues with weed and I am a heavy weed smoker ( weed only ) I stopped when it got bad sometimes itll all go away when you stop smoking however get a blood test sometimes depending where your weed is from it can have bacteria so I had bacteria in my bloodstream . They game me two types of antibiotics for 10 days lost 10 pounds of air and vile no jk

Don't mean to scare anybody, but I went to the link this guy provided, looked at the symptoms of this substance...and got really freaked out after I read that skin contact or inhalation of fumes or other forms of this substance can cause dermatitis. I've been itching on and off for about a month and a half now. I've noticed that the itching subsides and isn't nearly as bothersome when I don't smoke and don't even handle weed all day. The doc thought it was scabies but the permethrin cream they provided (WHICH WAS 65 ******* DOLLARS FOR 60gs!!!) isn't doing anything. I wasn't having any stomach issues till I started smoking cigs along with green and now I can't even take 1 hit without getting nauseous, dizzy, dry-burning eyes, disoriented, munchies from hell, EXTREMELY dehydrated and EXTREMELY fatigued. Now my stomach problems are exactly like milkmans except a lot less severe (haven't been toking too long), morning nausea, constipation, increased urination, chest and lower stomach pains. I pretty much assumed I was allergic and I still maintain that as a strong possibility but this thread strengthened that theory AND weakened it at the same time. I'm still quitting, I enjoy green but it ain't worth putting up with this bs at such a young age or ever in my life. If anyone has any new input as to why this is happening, I'd greatly appreciate it
P.s.
For all you ppl out there that can toke without any complications, take a puff for us who can't :p

Hey everyone, I also was having similar issues. Inflamed eyes, nausea, heartburn, extreme dehydration and tiredness, munchies from hell (lol no 5h1t right?), and I overall just felt absolutely horrible. For a long Time I was trying to figure out what it could be and not too long ago I found the answer and since there were quite a few people on this thread that have had similar issues but no ones put the possibility of Crohns disease. Crohns affects pretty much every system in your body one way or another. Although cannabis itself only worsens Crohns through the smoke inhaled into the stomach (increases acid production), someone with Crohns that is having a flare up can experience overly enhanced problems due to the nature of the high that our favorite herb gives us combined with the stress of not knowing whats going on. I'm not saying that anyone on here has it, but it would probably no hurt to look up Crohns. I hope this helps someone because I feel 10x better now that I at least know why after 1 hit I feel like I'm dying. Light up for me guys

I just wanted to update everyone on my recovery process after I quit smoking pot! It's been couple of months since I've quit and so far I have not been sick! My doctor put me on low dose of Seroquel and I am finally feeling OK. In this whole time I've smoked twice and have not felt sick next day. My acid is not a problem any more. I've gained 20 lbs and finally I wake up not feeling sick in the morning One thing my doctor told me is that stress was one of the main factors and when combined with pot it develops into effect that I was experiencing. People I would recommend get your stress under control if that is a problem. Don't lie to yourself . There is nothing wrong with smoking weed but just don't overdo it if under a lot of stress.

wow we are going thur the same thing right now and my son has had every test under the sun done to him and nothing comming back postive for anything. from upper lower GI ct scan camera pills ect, but the drs told him the same thing stop smoking and you will feel better, he is trying not to smoke now because last week we went to the ER three time and now the refuse to treat him because he had the opits in his system and now hes consider a drug user ...crazy because there the ones who gave it to him. he also tore his esophogaus from the wrenching and screeming in horrible pain and all they did was shut him up with Haldol....antipsychotic" medication.

he doesnt use street drug or anything he just goes to the ER when this happends and its been a lot :( so yes he isnt smoking and feel better as of today . this been going on for almost three years now and last vist to er was monday and before that was saturday and thursday , so with in a week three times ..
