"* Iv also noticed, after stopping zoloft for a while and deciding to start again, it has the ability to almost "jumpstart" your brain when I smoke pot, you get baked and happy and you just start feelin better, and you understand, its not the zoloft, its not the pot, you realize that if you wanna be happy, just be happy. Its that simple"

Thank you for sharing!

Don't listen to the idiots saying it ok smoke and take Zoloft everyone's body reacts differently. I was fine for years before I initially had any adverse reactions. I'm going through it right now. If you can just don't do it at all. Save yourself the heart ache.

I've been a heavy weed smoker for the past 7 years, and I've been on zoloft for about 8 months..
You do get high easier, and a delay in motor functions is definitely more noticable on zoloft.
It usually takes me two bowls to get nicely high, before zoloft it took about 6 or 7.
If you miss a zoloft dose, or cut down or increase be aware that smoking weed can increase your anxiety even more so than zoloft when you play around with your dosage.
I've had tachycardia and insane panic attacks whilst being high when i'm adjusting my dosage. And it is scary..
Just be careful, smoke one puff at a time. Give it 10 or so minutes to kick in and then decide whether more is necessary.
I've also drank a fair bit of mixing alcohol and weed on zoloft, I can never make it past 6 or so drinks. If I do i'll probably vomit and or fall asleep..
Can also increase anxiety ^.

I'm trying to get off zoloft because my anxiety goes away for a few weeks then comes back.. even when i'm not tapering....
And i'm pretty sure i've been close to serotonin syndrome more than once.

I'm really late, but I figured I'd add my experience for anyone that may come across this thread. I've been on a few antidepressants. Zoloft is the only one that has worked for me. I smoke weed about 3 times a day, give or take. zoloft actually keeps my tolerance low, so I don't need an excessive amount to get high, even though I smoke so much.
Other antidepressants or antianxiety meds have made me have really bad trips when smoking marijuana. It's happened a few times where I've vomited bc I got the spins real bad. One time, I made my brother call the police bc I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack. It was horrible.

BUT - this never happened while I've been on Zoloft.

trust me, it all depends on the person. Some people who have trips like that aren't even on medication, it's just your body, and brain chemicals reacting to the bud. If you're nervous, take it slow. Take a couple hits, wait 5-10 minutes if you have to, then continue. Just take it easy. Better to learn your limit that way than having your brother call 911 bc you're so messed up your limbs are burning and numbing at the same time lol.

ive been taking sertraline, 100mg, which i'm fairly certain is zoloft. and ive also been smoking weed, i drink around 1 bottle of wine a week, if that. sometimes i take it quite heavy, drink quite a bit. keep it calm and your fine. the tablets just make you more drunk. so be careful. also when mixed with narcotics such as mdma or cocaine the effects are multiplied significantly. very high sense of euphoria, beware

im becoming better, i think. the sertraline a day is slowly starting to make me less depressed, everybody has moments of attacks. keep going. be strong, and live your life
