I been having the same problems and my doctor tells me that's impossible. But it hurt so bad

Hi! I am having the same problems and my doctor told me that the IUD is out of place and that I can get it remove but because my UTERUS IS TILTED AND THAT IT WON'T HOLD THE IUD correctly. THE ONLY REASON I AM WANTED TO KEEP THE IUD IS BECAUSE I LOSE SO MUCH BLOOD FROM A MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND I THEN HAVE TO GET BLOOD TRANSFUSION. SO YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE

I had my iud inserted a week ago n yesterday while having sex my husband said the same thing that something was poking him... Is thr anyway to stop that from happening?

Yeah, you may need to get your iud taken out now before any more problems occur. I read somewhere once that IUDs were dangerous. Afterwards, rest up for a few days.

I'm am literally going through the same thing. One time my bf could feel the strings this time he said he couldn't but I am in the most pain with cramps and barely being able to walk around the house. At one point I thought I was going to vomit because the pain got so intense. I am calling my doc to make an appt and have a 6 week follow up on the 4th so we will see what happens. I'm hoping all is well and that it's just still settling.

The string feels like fishing wire for a little while until it gradually softens. This happened to my husband for a short time after I had my Mirena placed.

I have delivered vaginally and i have been spotting since i got it put in about 3 months ago. After sex I bleed a lot more for a few hours to a few days. I usually cramp up afterwards also to where I just want to puke.

Had my IUD in for over 5 years and have all these same problems. I have delivered vaginally and I do bleed/spot after sex. I also have the sharp pains and have asked my doctor numerous times could the IUD be the cause and was always told that it was not the IUD. But obviously the IUD plays a part in the pain

I am in Australia and its been 6 weeks since I had the mirena. Resumed sex after 4 weeks and every time we have sex, regardless of position, my partner is getting scratched and pierced causing him pain. So time frame is not the issue. they say the string eventually wraps around the cervix and that will remove the problem, but I have no cervix after having it removed at 19 due to cervical cancer, so I am checking out my options. i really dont care if the strings are cut way to short as i had to be put under for the mirena to be placed, they can just do the same to remove it .....

Same, unbearable pain after penetrating too deep (Mirena IUD). I was cramping in my uterus and couldn't even roll to my side due to the pain. It subsided and it hurt deeply two times randomly the next day. Now my strings are over 2 inches long! Over twice the length I had them at before..
