I actually have kyleena but this is exactly what happened to me!!
I'm having this right now! It's horrible I'm so scared of damaging my uterus as I have never had children and would like to maintain the ability as I'm only 23.
I too haven’t had any children and was wondering was it really the iud causing the pain after sex?
Hey this is so weird i have a mirena and I had sex with my husband the other day I too have not vaginally delivered and it instantly started bleeding and assumed it had somehow triggered my period I'm a little afaid now that it's something a lot worse thank you for posting this cause the bleeding hasn't stopped since ... I'm going to go get checked
Yes my man does too
Hi, im just reading all of this in hopes of figuring out what is going on with my own IUD issues. I too have had my second child by cesarean and got the mirena 7 weeks after. The insertion was much more painful than i was lead to believe ot would be and bled for a solid 9 weeks after. I now am having issues with sex. Almost everytime my husbnd and i have sex its very painful, worse than discomfort. Its pain and cramping no matter what i do or position we try. Im not able to naturally lubricate myself because of the pain and when weve tried lube the pain is still persistent. Im worried now that my uterus has torn and/or that its been inserted improperly. Contrary to the other posts my husband says he cant feel it at all. Did you ever find out what was going on, did you habe it removed and what was the out come? Thanks so mu h for posting and hope to hear back, thanks!
The removal strings on her iud (which are really very, very fine but wire-like) may be cut too long.
My boyfriends has said the same thing. I do believe its the plastic like string that the dr would use to remove the iud, when its removal time.
how has your experience been since removing it
I would like to talk to you...my wife got it inserted right after losing her virginity and every time we have had intercourse she complains that sex is very painful..she has only ever experienced painful sex and i have been wondering what could be the cause for the longest time and nothing i we seem to try in order to ease the discomfort helps, so the only thing left for me to consider is the iud she has inserted, i also wondered about endometriosis but we not sure about that either...anyways we basically have no sex life now and your experience seems similar to hers.. i am hoping you could help by us talking...let me know if you are interested and i could send you my email address..thank you
It's good to know that I am not the only one experiencing this. I had Korean put in in April of this year. After the appintment my doc said I would bleed for a few weeks to a few months. My bleeding just stopped and it's now December. I doubt that is normal. When my husband and I want to have sex I am not in the mood. I have no drive. It hurts when he is inserting his penis and it never did until I got mirena. During intercorse I can only think about when it will be over. After intercourse I bleed lightly now, like you said. It lasts a few hrs to a few days and is pinkish in color. What is going on? Have not had a chance to see my gyno. I'm so worried.
I’m feeling the same way I want this thing out of me!
I have a Minera IUD! It's great except for sex in certain positions where my partner is really deep or with someone who has a really large penis. I think the feeling we are all feeling is the IUD pushing against the cervix.
It is a similar feeling to when I had sex with a guy with a huge penis before having an IUD- it is the feeling of something pushing up against the cervix. Many of my friends have IUDs and we all have had different experiences with how they affect us. Most do not feel any difference during sex. But for those of us who do...perhaps an IUD isn't the way to go. Overall, not having my period is worth the discomfort during sex.

Can Dyspareunia be caused by having the IUD?
I’m having this now- what was the result in the end?
