I’ve had my Mirena for almost 3 years. I never have periods anymore, but I do get some PMS symptoms (tender breasts, pimples, cramping) I was recently on antibiotics for a nasty chest infection. Ironically, the antibiotics gave me a yeast infection.
I purchased OTC oral Canesten. A couple of days later, I got a sharp pain for a split second on the right side of my uterus/ right ovary. I started having light pink discharge.
Not sure if it’s ovulation, due to my yeast infection, or what...but I am on day 2 of light pink discharge.

I am having this same problem. I have to wear a day pad after never bleeding for 2 years and oh my god my boobs hurt if I even look at them. Just curious if any one checked to see if this is normal yet
My mom had a period last for multiple months. They had to do a d&c to stop the bleeding.

I have had my mirena for 3 years and just after the three year mark started spotting. just enough for a panty liner but this went in for three weeks non stop. finally stopped only to start again 4 weeks later. this started and stopped just like before. i am 52. has anyone experienced similar?

I got mine 2 years ago and when I got it inserted I bled for 6 months straight. And I have had awful irregular periods ever since. Also random pains and cramps. I still have it in. My doc says its all normal.
So do we know why this is!?? I had my Mirena non-hormonal IUD put in about six weeks after my daughter’s birth in 2015. Just over three years now and the last time I even SPOTTED was about 2-3 weeks after it was placed. It was an uncomfortable insertion, and I bled a bit heavier from that but then I never got a period again until today, I went to use the bathroom, and my underwear was stained light pink and still wet. I’m freaking out!! I’ve been with the same partner for the last year and a half, and we’ve had many emotional ups and downs so I don’t think it’s any of that, and sex for us has actually been much less frequent lately due to work stress and whatnot - last time was about 3 weeks ago. I’m worried maybe something slipped? My IUD is good for another two years unless something has changed. I’m going to my doctor this week!

I am having the same issue. I’ve had my IUD almost 4 years to the day and Haven’t had a period for around 3 years. I noticed the last week and a half I’ve been so emotional and it’s hard to tell what’s normal and what’s not but I have painful cramps. They are random but short and intense for about almost 2 weeks. Now today I’ve started to see blood. It’s really light and barely there but I’m a bit worried
What did the Doctor say? This same thing is happening to me. Little cramps but heavy bleeding now for about 2 days so far. Not just spotting.
The same thing happened to me I've been on the IUD mirena for 3 years no bleeding but maybe for the first month when my ob put it in after that nothing up until two days ago when i noticed blood in my urine when i wipe and blood in my underwear so now im having lower back pain aka cramps and spotting its not heavy still messy i dont know whats going on this is strange this has never happened before
Googled things like period while on Mirena, bleeding after sex, etc. Lo and behold...here I am...exactly 3 years in with Mirena. Having a period. Sigh. Not sure what to do because I'm 40, with no intentions of having another baby, but this constant period sucks. I guess I'll reach out to my doctor.
