May be an under active thyroid get it checked at least three blood test a couple of months a part x
Hi there. I recently had someone tell me about the IgG test. I am having a lot of the same symptoms....for at least 4 years now without doctors being able to figure out what is wrong....and this aquintance of mine happened to recently mention how she was feeling so sick, gaining weight for no reason, and so on and so forth and she finally did research of her own, got the IgG, found out she had a bunch of food allergies/sensativities and since cutting them out/lessening them, lost all the weight plus some and has totally been relieved of all of her symptoms. Her husband and kids got the tests too and they figured out what was causing a lot of their "medical" issues. Amazing!! I am going back to the doctor today, but was researching first and came across your post. I am wondering what causes the weight gain when you eat foods you are allergic to?
I have the same exact symptoms as you and I'm only 23 years old!!! (Except I have a crazy sex drive.. but THAT might be from my age haha)
That being said, I KNOW It's not an age thing. I have always had issues with sleep, memory, dry skin, depression, weight gain or inability to lose weight even with regular exercise and obsessively healthy eating, and as I've gotten older, the symptoms have gotten worse. Now I'm dealing with hair loss, too. If I can't sleep, I'm sleeping WAY too much, and if I'm not sweating, I'm actually UNDER normal resting body temperature. I've seen many doctors since I was 15 that guessed It was either hypothyroidism or hypoglycemia, but then testing proved that to be wrong. I also have extreme joint pain and muscle fatigue. I was diagnosed with sciatica after the joint pain got so bad that I had to start getting cortisol shots in my butt. That was 3 years ago. From that terrible bout of sciatica, being immobile and what not, I gained 70 lbs.. and I've been trying to get it off ever since.
Let me know if you get any answers!!! I just got a blood test today, actually, to make sure I'm not anemic. I've been more fatigued than normal lately.. which says a lot since the norm for me is fatigue...
I have the same symptoms. I am medicated with synthroid 200mcg. I have gained 80 pounds in the last 2 years. I have had almost every test possilbe performed, including extensive thyroid testing. I run a low grade fever in addition to the other symptoms, everyday, (101-103). I found out I have Hashimoto's disease and that is it, so far. Next week alergy testing. I am 40years old and am sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Hey ashley,
It sounds like you are toxic with something? I had the same symptoms weight gain, chronic fatigue, sweating, headaches, swelling in legs, joint pain. I finally went to a homopathic doctor and they said I was full of metals. I had 7 mercury fillings in my mouth.. I am also a breast cancer survivor and a school teacher who worked in some very old buildings that probably were full of lead paint at one time. Anyway, I had the fillings removed and i have been juicing vegetables, taking spirulina and chlorella for several months now. It is helping. I have also started taking Welbutrim cause doc says I am probably serotonin deprived and Welbutrim helps with that. It has helped me a lot. I am loosing weight and I am not as tired or easily agitated... Go see a homopathic doctor. I promise you, you won't regret it. Our bodies are NOT made to function improperly. They fight to stay well. So if you are that sick, something is wrong and when regular doctors can't help, try the alternative. I have learned a lot about alternative medicince and it is wonderful!! Good luck!

One more thing... If you are using any kind of diet sweetner, STOP. It is pure poison! Diet sodas are too.. PLEASE research both on the internet... They are deadly and will cause all the symptons you are having. I stopped all diet sweetner and any food with it. I use Stevia.. It is all natural.

I had hypothyroidism and did not have excessive sweating. Weight gain, exhaustion and depression. That turned into Cancer.
Please let me know what you find out. I've fought hypothyroidism all my life. Took the doctors about 35 years to find it. Now I have no thyroid and I'm on Synthroid and I get hungry alot and very tired all the time. When I voluntarily go off the thyroid meds I feel better but my thyroid becomes hyper at that point. I have dieted most of my adult life and now I'm gaining again even though I only eat about 1300 -1500 calories per day. I have done away with high fructose corn oil, gluten and transfats. Eat as much fiber and possible and drink an average of 60 ounces of water a day. Most days it's more like 80 or 100 ounces. I am just at the end of my rope with this.
My husband's doctor put him on Synthroid ten years ago. He gained ten pounds a year for five years. His doctor was adamant that Synthroid was not the problem. But he went to an endocrinologist and was put on Armour Thyroid. The difference was amazing. His weight gain stopped, and in fact, he's lost 25 pounds. The difference is that Armour, being dessicated thyroid gland, has T3 that is readily used by his body. Synthroid is only T4. I think that for some people with hypothyroidism, the problem doesn't stop with not producing T4, but is also that they cannot convert the T4 to T3. On top of that, he, like many others we've talked to, suffered side effects with Synthroid such as "brain fog". Armour Thyroid eliminated that. There are other dessicated thyroid prescriptions out there that are probably just as effective. Be aware that most doctors don't know much about thyroid problems. They are only trained to get the "numbers" right. They treat the most obvious symptom, but don't go further.
