I have had this feeling for a couple of months now with shortness of breath and fatigue. So far have ruled out heart lungs and thyroid. Next is gastro. I have been on antidepressants and anxiety Meds for two years so we can rule that out. I have gained 50 pounds and can not get it off. I am bloated and very uncomfortable. If anyone gets a diagnoses please let me know. If I find an answer I will do the same.

Hi, I'm an 19 year old female and I'm experiencing the same symptoms. I went to the emergency room because I just couldn't take it anymore. Unfortunately after blood and urine test and even X-rays of my throat and chest they couldn't find anything. They gave me some medication while I was there that's comparative to any anti anxiety medication and it instantly helped. The medication was only while I was there though and although I self medicate with weed I still feel like c**p. Anyone gets any closer to the cure please post.

Hi Ian
Sorry to hear about your condition. Just recently I began having tight lump in throat feeling and makes me feel nauseous especially when I lay down.
A week before this happened, I was rushed to hospital as I fainted with apparent dehydration. All bloods fine and he put it down to stress.
The doc prescribed pills which would open up the airways and sinuses as he said the body can shut these down during such episodes.
It got me thinking because I NEVER had motion sickness or vertigo until about a year ago.
I haven't had a chance to go back to the doc but I really believe that blockages of sinuses can be contributing factors here, as I feel less nauseous when I inhale a nasal stick for example. I don't think it has much to do with foods I eat. But rather not enough oxygen and blocked sinuses. Just a thought.

Have any of you ever gotten better??? I have been dealing with this for over 2 months now...severe nausea, lump in throat, etc. I hardly ever leave the house now except for a Dr appt or hospital stay..which of course they find absolutely nothing wrong with me. I was extremely active b4 this. I also took antibiotics augmentin 875/125 beginning of April and again mid May. Since then I am extremely sick all the time. I get no relief, just eases at times then waves so severe I curl up in a ball and cry! No meds help....what is wrong? Anyone try holistic doctors?

Hello, I've just read this thread regarding these symptoms I have been feeling for months now. I don't get it everyday but it's hard bearing these sick feeling of having something stuck in your throat, feeling of vomiting but you don't, nausea and sometimes breathing difficult or just fast. How are all of you? I had TIA months ago and maybe 2 months after, I started feeling like this and I don't know why. I haven't had any tests done yet except that time I had a lipid profile and saw my cholesterol were a bit high. I'm taking Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel to lessen the chances of having stroke. I am thinking I have been so paranoid and anxious whenever I feel something weird, even little pain in my chest, the back of my neck due to muscle pains and my shoulders. I hope this is just stress and I will try to work them out. I am staying at home btw. Watching over my 2 year old kid. Hope you all are fine.

Not really sure how to navigate this site, so I am posting a reply. I too have been suffering from the lump in the throat, constant nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, etc. These symptoms increased their severity in only a few weeks to constant. I was bedridden and could only find some relief by laying perfectly still with my head elevated. After a trip to the emergency room where I was subjected to a battery of tests with absolutely no result did I start my internet research which lead me to this site along with numerous others. I thought I had throat cancer and after a biopsy was taken at the ER trip and waiting for a week after for the results, did I find out that the biopsy was negative. My history is this - I have been taking a PPI for about 15 years, so I am used to dealing with "GERD". I sometimes supplement my PPI (omeprezole) with Pepic AC chewables (if I eat late or eat spicy foods). First, anyone that is taking a PPI should be taking B-12 supplements as the PPI inhibits the absorption of B-12. B-12 deficiency can cause severe nausea. This I have known and take 1000 mg per day of B-12. One of the constants that I have seen on this site and numerous others is that sufferers have had some sort of sickness requiring antibiotics before these symptoms started happening. This is the same in my case. This lead me to do research on the affects of antibiotics, which lead me to taking probiotics. I starting taking Nature's Way chewable gummie bears 6 days ago - two per day. And, remarkably my symptoms have decreased every day!! I woke up this morning and am almost symptom free!! Now, I also have stopped taking the Pepic AC, which I was eating like candy because I read that too little stomach acid is actually worse than too much stomach acid. So, I don't know if this will work for anyone out there, but after going thru this "non-named" affliction for months, I was willing to try anything!!! And....... so far, so good!!

Thank you. I pray your solution works for all of this. I've been suffering with this feeling now for about 15-20 years (when active or during motion). I always just consisted it to be motion sickness but deep down always thought it was something more.

It could be acid reflux. I had a severe case of this when I was younger where I would get a feeling of nausea in my throat and a sense of lumps in my throat. I remember staying up at night thinking I would be sick but it would never happen. You can get acid reflux if you damage your esophagus, which is what happened to me, or eat high amounts of acidic foods like fruits. I think it took my doctors around a year to figure out what was wrong with me.

I am 16 years old. I have been experiencing the same nausea "anxiety" in the throat for 2 years. I've gotten blood work done and extensive testing and I am totally healthy. I went on an anxiety pill for a couple weeks and it made it worse. I have been having more and more of these nausea attacks recently. I feel like it's more than just anxiety, it can't be just anxiety I have literally tried everything (dieting, exercising, therapists, religion/spiritual healing, etc) for a year now. If your reading this and experiencing what I am describing, sorry but I have almost completely lost hope. Nothing works, it's just an endless cycle of nauseous dizzy hell. The total description of this suffering, is just that suffering. But I am not going to give up... If I beat this c**p I will comeback here and write about what I did because I do not wish this pain on anybody. Good luck to anybody else!!
