No period after IUD is removed..

I had my last period on April 23rd. I had my IUD removed on May 9th. I still haven't had another period. Me and my husband are trying to have a baby but I can't figure out when I ovulate because I'm not getting a period. I have taken almost 8 pregnancy test and all are negative. It's starting to get a little discouraging to keep looking at a negative test when you associate not having a period with being pregnant. I'm afraid if I don't get a period so I can figure out my ovulating cycle I'm eventually going to end up on that I didn't know I was pregnant show...

I had an IUD in for two years. On February 8 last month. The whole time I had it in I had pain realy bad pain in my lower stumick..And desided enough was enough and plus my husband and I wanted baby number 2.When it was taken out I bleed the same day and didn't stop for the next three days. The doc is it was normal and wasn't my period! As soon as it stopped we started to have fun an when we did I would bleed a little for the rest of the night. It only happened a few times!As of now its been two months without a period! I have never had a regular period! That's just say I had my first at 18 and would get one every 3,6 months some times a year would go by without one.My husben an I had one to many false alarms intill we had our now two year old .I took a test an it came up negative !Please help I am at a loss! Thank you !

Hya me and my fiance have just started trying for our 2nd, and i got reccommended to get pregnancy tests from 'sme fertility'
I ordered 30 for 2.75. All hospitals order from there and the ones i ordered are super sensitive, sensitivity is 10, normal pregnancy tests are 25. You can test 8days before your period is due :)
We had coil removed monday, and i feel realy down as feel as though could be waiting ages, although on a positive note i concieved straight away twice miscarrying first time. But im just hoping we concieve quickly!

I had my iud removed last month on the 25th an i still havent had no period an taken several pregnancy tests an still negative so confused. i just got married an we want a baby so badly. any ideas ladies....

Hi.  I have been looking into this topic for quite some time.  It seems that there aren't many women who have had the same experience as me, this is the first discussion forum that I have posted on regarding my situation and I am eager to see if there are others experiencing the same issues. 

I had my first (and only) Mirena IUD put in back in 10/07, 6 weeks PP with my 3rd son.  I had absolutely no problems with it, regular periods for the first few months and then no bleeding for about 4 and a half years (before IUD I had always had normal periods and cycles, never late or missed unless I was pregnant).  Than on Feb 6th 2012, I had the IUD removed.  My husband and I decided to finally try for baby #4!  I am 29yrs old, so certainly should have plenty of time to have more children, but I have not had a single period since, it is now the end of July 2012...so almost 6 months with no period!  I am kind of freaking out; I have never gone this long without a period, under normal circumstances!  I have taken several tests just to make sure that I am not pregnant, and I am not, every single one is negative.  I haven't contacted my doctor yet, I didn't know what to expect and if it is normal to go this long without a period post IUD removal.  I get so many different pieces of advice and opinions.  I just wish I knew of someone that this has happened to and if they eventually returned to "normal," or even if they ever went on to conceived.

Hi I just had my IUD removed june 7th and I only bled for a day and a half after removal.  When I got it removed it was about a week before my actual period and I actually found out a week ago that I am pregnant and I am not sure exactly how far I really am due to the fact that most doctors go by your last menstral date and mine was before IUD removal.  That leaves so many unanswered questions running through my mind.  But I guess ill find out when i see the doc.  When I first got IUD removed i missed 2 periods and i was freaking out because i kept taking pregnancy test and they all kept turning up negitive but i had symptoms of being pregnant before IUD was removed up until today.  I am nauseated dont really have an appetite to eat and alot of trouble sleeping so Im not sure how far I am or anything.  I hope you other ladies are doing better.  Good Luck.

thanks for ur update.. actually i was going through the same case of mine..am eagerly waiting for my period.my last period was on 08 August.this is 6th sep. still no signs of it.am afraid of checking for Pregnancy..but shud check it 2mrw.. am praying i should not get Pregnancy this month. coz am not ready for it.. ur post is helping in building confidence that my period also may get delay..

Did u ever get your period! My IUD fell out September 20,2012 and I had it put in July 18,2012 bled for a week and had a period August 16,2012! Now its been almost 2 months since my last period and still nothing since september when it fell out I dont know what to do it cost to much to see a doctor and just to tell me that its normal i went to the ER and they found nothing! Im tired of waiting with no results!!

I have the I.u.d. mirena for 5 years and my body expelled it on its own. But its been 3 years since it's been out. And my periods still aren't back. I get spotting every couple of months but the cramping and bloating is on a regular monthly basis. When I was on it. My periods went away completely. I'm worried I might not be able to get prego again.:/

Did you get pregnant? Its been over a year now. And I'm in the same boat. Its Bern out and I haven't had much of a period. Since and its been almost 3 years. :/ I hope you can tell me good news.

Today is Nov 28. 2012 and I got my IUD put in March of 2012. I went to the hospital today with terrible cramping in my lower back and adomin area. The doctor couldn't find it when he did a pelvic exam and they couldn't find it when they did a sonogram either. I'm a little worried because I don't know if my IUD is there and they just don't see if or if it really did fall out? I have not had a cycle since I got it put in. Kinda scary. Even more scarier with the lawsuit that is out for the IUD I have. :(...

 

Has anyone else had this problem? I read through all the forums and people were saying they didnt have cycles for almost 6 moths did anyone ever go to the doctor about it? If so what did your doctors say about it? I don't have insurance so it kinda hard to believe the ER doctor.

I had my Mirena removed Nov 12, I bled for 4 days after and was told to expect my first actual period withen a few weeks. Well it has been 22 days now since I have had mirena removed and still no period. I am TTC and this whole thing is discouraging and stressful!! If my cycle would have stayed the same as it was while on Mirena (for 3years) I should have started Nov 28. I did take a test on the 29th and it was neg. I keep hoping to start or to get a positive! This whole not knowing what is going on is getting annoying. Please HELP!

I know this is old but just wanted to say for anyone ttc me and a few friends of mine all got pregnant and successful to term within the first week of removal.. maybe it was the timing or maybe it was because the cervix might have been slightly opened? Im not sure but i would say try right away! Gl hope this helped...

Just an update: It is now nearly one year since I had my IUD removed and my periods have returned, but are very irregular. In the last 6 months they have all over the map, 22 days, 39 days 52 days! Because I am so irregular I can never predict when my next cycle will start...and I am obviously not pregnant yet. This whole situation is so frustrating. I hope that some others have success stories because I am ready to give up.

Hello I had my iud for almost 2 years after having identical twins, I had it removed 2/13/13 and I have started my period today 4/2/13, it is light so far with clots but little cramps, but I had all the symptoms of pregnancy except nausea, I took three different tests form 2/20/13 to now because I just felt weird and I think it's just my system rebooting:) we are ttc!;) so hope this helps
