i see a bunch of worthless answers here. no offense, but obviously we all have the same problem. and i have had a lot of stress lately and i believe as well as a couple of other's here that that is probably what is comes down to. and i do have a history of anxiety problems. i looked all over the net and no one has a feasible answer. to the individual that went to the neurologists.....please advise if you found anything out....i can't afford to see a brain specialist unfortunately......thanks everyone anyways.

I just recently started having a twitch or pulsating sensation on the bridge of my nose within the past few days. I like to self diagnose myself from info on the net, or at least get an understanding of what is going on with my body and I found this thread. While there are many unhelpful responses, one question I might ask is has anyone been on any antianxiety or antic depressant meds in the recent past?

I ask because early spring I underwent a traumatic experience and was placed on antianxiety meds, but noticed involuntary facial movements. I informed my doctor and she advised I immediately begin to step down my dosage to none at all. The movements were associated with a disorder called tardive diskynisia (sp?) which causes barely noticible facial ticks. If gone unnoticed for too long, it may become a permanant condition. As soon as I quit, I stopped the frowning that I was doing involuntarily. However, maybe this nose twitch is an after-effect.

I'm curious to know if meds could be the common denominator among us all that have experienced this. Otherwise, I'm clueless....

No, I haven't taken any meds and I'm experiencing the twitching/pulsing on the left side of my nose. It's been about 1 month since it started.

The twitching is from stress, try and relax and you probably need to catch-up on your sleep as well.

My twitching went away on its own after about 1 month. nothing major changed in my life except maybe a little less stress.

I am 14, this is my guess. I did some research because my teacher has a twitch so i sort of devoloped his habit. It only happend in certain times when i thought about it. But i also do or have all of the things that would cause it. I'm guessing some of you drink coffee? Well coffee is a cause, dont stop drinking it just cut your dosage. And lack of sleep and stress can also result into a twitch. Good luck guys

I get the same thing I can't explain n doctor terms but I have herpes simplex 1 I get outbreaks on nerbe emdings such as tip of my nose and before a cold sore outbreak the twictching will began sometimes with a fever there is also and immune disoder that can cause this that sometome involves the tip of the nose along with cold sores so I can see that stress could cause this throbbing on the nose which could possibly be trying to activate a hsv eruption that oftem lives dormant n nerve ending

I've found some information on ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed From what I've gleaned from the article, it's almost always benign and temporary, yet is more common in children. Very rarely is it a symptom of something more life-altering like Tourette's Syndrome. If you're worried, read the article and talk to your doctor.

I too have pulse-like feeling ont he sides of my nose. It feels like something is under the skin and moving. I have gone to the mirror while this is happening and can actually SEE the skin moving. In addition to this, I see signs of altered shape of my nose. My nose appears to have grown a slight thickening on one side, when I feel it with my fingers, I can actually feel the difference and my nose does look slightly crooked. This feeling has been going on for 5-6 yrs now. Maybe it has sometihng to do with roscasa..spelling. I am a redhead with very light colored skin. If anyone else has experienced symptoms like mine, please let me know.

My nose is doing this, then it goes into my upper and lower mouth! Is it Parkinsons, MS, Motor Neurone?
