I had the procedure done (Novasure) and it was very very painful however I am glad I did it. No periods and no side effects. I had cramping for about 3 days after, but nothing bad. I read a lot of things before procedure and scared myself, but it was fine. Now let me say, I was not put under, I was given pain meds before procedure and xanax, I still felt the 90 seconds of pain but once over, I was "out" all day... drugged! I have seen that many people were put under to have it done. I wasn't given that option. I would suggest it. lol it hurt like hell.

Hi I just wanted to add to this post. I had the procedure (novsure) and I have all positive results. My friend also had it 7 years ago and she has no complaints and no periods. The 90 seconds did hurt like crazy for me as well as for her she said, but it was over and no more periods and no side effects. Ladies, I was told you will still have the symtoms of getting your period, the uterus is burned and will not shed a lining, your body will still think its going to have a period, you can still have bloating, sore chest, moodyness, etc..

I think I had mine 2 years ago for extreme periods. I've had hemmorahgic cysts and other cysts. I've never had any other issues down there b4 like these and the problems continue, 5 months ago my left ovary doubled in size and attached itself to my bowel and colon. The pain was so extreme. It hurt my ovarian area and tush just to pee. Went to my ob and he took out the left ovary and found out that I have endometriosis. Which usually starts on women soon after their periods from what I've read. Anyways I'm 39, and now the exact pain is back I see my doc in two days thank god I have left over dilaudid and norco from last time. If your class action lawsuit goes through let me know cause now with my other ovary coming out I will be a hysterectomy and I can't take hormones at all.  Hope ur doing better. Corrie

I would like some info on your class action lawsuit. Since my procedure my left ovary was removed due double size and attachment to my bowel and colon. At time of removal I find out that I have endometriosis which I've never had. I got the procedure done due to hemorrhaging to death. Now I'm looking at my right one coming out to cause I believe this one attached itself as well if this bod gets removed that puts me at hysterectomy and menopause which blows cause I can't take hormones at all.

Hi I am also 2 half weeks post op. Although I had mine done under a local which I would not recommend. I am very bloated still it's embarrassing I am still bleeding and have a lot of pain, I actually regret having it done. I am also very tired, I am going to my GP if by the end of the week I am no better. I also need to pee a lot maybe distended belly may have something to do with this. I only hope to god it's worth it. Anyone considering having it done under a local DO NOT, I passed out with the pain. I have a high pain tolerance and I am a nurse myself but this pain was on another level. I'd rather give birth with no pain relief than endure that again. Sorry to sound so negative but at the moment I cannot see no positives. Will update in 4 weeks.

Two months after having an endometrial ablation surgery, I had to be taken to the ER. We thought I was having a stroke. It wasn't a stroke or a TIA. After three days in the hospital the Doctors told my family I had an anxiety attack. In ten months I have had 5 of these so called "anxiety" attacks that look like strokes. My attacks would last about three days and my left side of my body would become weak and limp, but some symptoms would last longer then three days, I get tired I am get weak on my left side, I stumble, I get confused, and stutter. I couldn't work or drive, and depression started to set in because I didnt know really know what was going on with me and when I did go to the doctor, I was made to feel I was faking it. I went to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. I was told it was not seizures, they believe I had migraines and they were causes the stroke like symptoms. At the same time I started to have regular migraines, which in itself was awful. I guess my question is. Is there any other woman out there who have has the ablation surgery and developed migraines afterwards?

Hi I know this is an old post. but I had a horrible ablation experience in2008 that nearly killed me literally. I could not get an atty to take my case even though I retained an expert witness. are you still trying to do a class action. thanks for caring. Karen.

I underwent this procedure in July 2013. Since they I have had a minor stroke, major vitamin deficiencies, and now severe arthritis. None of these things existed prior to the procedure. At first I thought nothing of it. However, two months ago, without notice the gyn who performed my procedure suddenly closed her office & moved from PA to FL. Suspicious?! How has your law suit gone? Do you know of any class action suits or any agencies that are looking into this?
