Oh my gosh, I am so glad that I found this post. I saw an urgent care doctor in November of 2013 and complained about bruise-like pain in my left temple. He checked me out, and said it was nothing to worry about. I then went to my primary care physican with the same complaint, and she said the same thing. It hasn't gotten worse, and my headaches are infrequent, so I figured I was just crazy. I actually do have TMJ and wear a bite-guard at night for teeth grinding. I'm glad to finally have a little piece of mind. I'm going to go to my new doctor and see how they can help me with this issue.

I have had Trigeminal Neuralgia in the past and had gamma knife surgery for it.  The doctors told me it could come back and I am having the right temple pain and up through my head now too.  It also radiates down into a few teeth.

The symptoms went away right before I went back to my neurologist and he said it was probably just a flare up (although it lasted for over three months).  They symptoms returned less than two weeks after my neurological visit.

You could have temporal arteritis especially since the pain seems to be linked to both your eyesight and inflammation elsewhere in your head. It's very important you get tested to see if this is what you have.

I have a similar pain below my temple nearish to my eyes. I was scared it might be a tumor. I don't think it is though because of the location and no other symptoms. Except I do have blurred vision!!!!! Do you think I have a Tumor? It is on both sides sorta so it's probably sinuses or something more likely. These symptoms can range from anxiety to the most rare disease ever it's crazy. Lol.

I have TMJ in my left jaw. 10 weeks ago I was practicing EFT and I tapped on both temples, probably too long and too hard. I woke the following day with severe pain in my temples. The day after I started to notice I was unsteady on my feet. Since then I have suffered unsteadiness/imbalance; brain fog; feeling spaced out and a constant pressure sensation predominantly in my left temple. When I press on them I can bring on the sensation of unsteadiness. This is ruining my life. Does anyone know how to heal damage to the temples? Anything?

I don't get migraines, but I do have fibro. Just noticed pain in my left temple and typed in symptoms. This site popped up. It is very painful to the touch. I have had temporal neuralgia though in past on the same side. Anyone else have this history?

That was Trigeminal Neuralgia, not temporal. Sorry.

Recently the last 2 days, I getting the same pain at my left side above the temple. I think it is probably from I wearing my Night Teeth Guard at night. Last night I hadn't wearing it, but the tenderness still there. Have you find out what had case your pain?

Did anyone find out for sure what caused there pain. I'm awaiting blood work to make sure it's not temporal arteritis

I also have this before during and or after a migraine. My right side is most tender. I have a pinched nerve on left neck side.
