This time was different. An hour after my surgery I felt great! Had normal bleeding, very mild cramping from uterus returning to shape and mild back pain. All normal though, and not painful enough to even need Tylenol. But yesterday (day 3) my pain became debilitating. Painful urinating, back pains and stomach cramps worse than period cramping. Now I'm prescribed percocets for an unrelated issue so I tried 2 of those to help. Did absolutely nothing for the pain. In fact I continue to use them regularly not exceeding 8/day as prescribed. Almost no blood either. My intestines are making a lot of noise so I'm not sure if this could be gas pain or possibly, because of lack of blood, clots. Going on almost 24 hrs of this and it's 6am now, I've been awoken 4 times from the pain. I can't even push to try to fart because it hurts so much! Just took 2 more perks and I've decided to try a glass of ginger ale to help if it's gas. So far it's kind of working to pass the gas. What I find interesting is that everyone seems to be having this pain after surgery beginning on day 3! So I know what you're going through hun! I see you posted 6 days ago, how is everything doing now?

Forgot to mention, saw an article suggesting a uterine massage which seems relatively easy to do. Supposed to help with pain/passing clots. Haven't tried it yet but at this point I'm willing to do whatever helps

The cramps are so unbearable.

It was a very painful procedure for me I don't think the painkillers really settled in and I was in so much pain I puked after!
It was an experience I never want to go thru again... I had mild-medium cramping first few days that was fixed with Advil. Today, a week later I write this in my worst pain yet. I was drinking alcohol last night so not sure if that has an effect on the pain I'm in right now.
My bleeding also increased significantly over the last few days. At first I was passing dark blood maybe leftover from the surgery and now I'm bleeding and passing clots.
I think the best way to beat these cramps is to relax and take an ibuprofen before the cramps start! Try taking before bed, right when you wake up and throughout the day. I'm leaving for vacation in a few hours and really hope the next week is less harsh than the last few days.
Good luck ladies!

I was on the bathroom floor crying and vomited 13 times in my first day (10am) to second day at 10am. I was extremely weak... my boyfriend had to carry me everywhere and make sure I would faint in the shower. I later got prescribed norco and that has been the only thing to stop the pain

I wish I had done a bit more research prior to making the decision to have a medical abortion. This will be my first (and only) experience with this, and here is what I have learned from the situation; WORST. PAIN. EVER. I google searched this topic last night while I hunched over crying on my toilet from how exceuciating this pain was. I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to survive it seeing as the pain didn't seem to have endtime. I was reading posts about how some of the girls fell asleep during this, and were jolted back up from pain. I could not get comfortable enough to sleep. On a positive note: I'm not cramping at all right now (9:19 am) and I have an apetite. Now time for round 2 tonight
