Look into Epstein Barr Virus. I too have all the same symptoms as everyone else and I can't work anymore bc of them. Recently discovered it could be this virus effecting us causing these symptoms. I've been going to the doctor for over 5 years and have had blood work test, x-rays, MRIs and you name it I've done it. All with no answers to my debilitating pain. I had same symptoms..diagnose with cricophragreus spasm..low vitamin D and B12.. Currently under medication from last 6 months..still feels tightness in throat, spasm, trouble sleeping, thyroid is ok..but this throbbing in throat symptoms gives me chills..I can see slight swelling sometimes on my neck, jaws which come and goes once throbbing stops...n have other symptoms like trouble sleeping, nigtmares, difficulty speaking

I was 36... i never got it checked.. thought i needed to quit smoking. Exercise more... but it got worse.. headaches to migraines to short of breath wicked scsry throat heart palpitation pains... by 38... and no results.. i had a stroke out of nowhere! I was at work (ironically in healthcare) i ended up lising 15 days of memory doing a ton of rehab and completely normal again after 18months.. it was a "SPONTANEOUS INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY DISSECTION" they say due to a large clot when it dissected my ear was in pain and sound like a washing machine... my ldl were perfect and they just didnt have an explanation. Now i have an aneurysm wear the artery tore. And learned i had very high blood pressure "at that time" i have numerous TIAs always when least expected.. no answers to my clotting issues other than red cell count getting uncontrolled at times.. recently i have been advised i have polycythemia vera. Thickening of blood... i now take a 325 aspirin once a day to keep blood thin... but the headaches are still bad due yo aneurysm and i still get extremely painful sharp palpitations in my yhroat and deep carotid pains. I was told its a chronic condition and have to monitor it diligently.

I am terrified I am having the same itscevwn caused my voicevto go horse and short of breath trouble breathing also fatigue and a persistent cough and also Body pains I have even been told to get checked for throat cancer anyone has any other diagnoses?

A bruit is a normal sound listening to an artery. It is noemail and not clinically applicable to this situation.
I have had these weird knots on my throat been there for for 3 months. After blood works and sono I have cysts not sure what kind or anything.. but do know I have the same symptoms as you guys

My started about 2003 after neck surgery. I would have to go lay down for a while. And it is doimg it again like someone is squeezeing my neck it really does hurt it started back up about 2 weeks ago. Whatin the world is going on?
This is exactly what I am experiencing. The feeling is similar to being choked or something lodged in the throat. Also it definitely gets worse when I bend over to pick something up or laying down. No idea whats going on but I often have to take deep breaths because I feel like im not getting enough oxygen.
Hi I had a lot of throats issues similar to your found out it was acid reflux, obviously stress related.. maybe that's an avenue you havn't given thought to.. I take lansoperazole it helps quite a bit.
