I have this issue and when I stretch it and try to massage it it gets worse. And it comes and goes, however I noticed it comes about when I eat like sh*t, I usually eat high fat plant based diet and juice regularly.
When the throbbing came about I juiced lots of garlic, ginger, lime/lemon, strawberry/blueberry, I also took Arginine which is a great supplement to help with blood flow, seeing as the throbbing is in your neck which is a major intersection of blood flow I used things to help reduce inflammation and increase blood flow. My energy is coming back and throbbing is fading. Also your thyroid is in your neck a huge hormone you need is there so feed that baby some good nutrients.

I too have the throbbing neck. I call it the bobble head syndrome. I believe it has something to do with the nerves being pinched. For ibuprofen and two aspirin gives me relief for a few hours. then it's back to the throbbing bobble
What was your problem because I'm having the same problems
Hi did you ever get an answer to this?

It could be TMJ. I have it. If you look it up it will show different excersises to do. My daughter is a dental assistant & she told me some exercises also. Your dentist can check & tell you for sure if you have it.
I have the same exact feeling as most of you. A guest mentioned being prescribed MILES. I was skeptical at first. You gargle it. Not sure what it supposed to treat. I though they were for my throat. But my discomfort was not just throat. My ENT doctor was the one that said to try it. I’m off it now, but still feel it. I get heartburn more than usual also. Could it be from chemical exposure from just typical house hold products? I’m trying to see what I may have been exposed to. I’ve had a barium swallow done. UT screen of my liver and other parts. All good ruling out any cancer. But haven’t done an MRI to confirm. I may do that. Next thing I’m thinking is blood pressure and cardio. Which has made me more anxious. My stress levels are up and down depending on work. I’m a average size male. 174lbs and 5’9”. I’m slim but haven’t excercised in a while. One time I rode my bike and I felt light headed. Still thinking veins or arteries.
I've had the same pain lately. It's like a sharp stabbing pain for a few seconds . Then goes away then comes back after a few sexonds. It's on the left side of my neck/throat and it's like a pulse. I've been worried about it myself . No idea what it is
A beta blocker might be a good place to start. Sounds like your heart is increasing cardiac output to keep up with demands. Beta blocker medication target a beta-1 receptor on the heart, decreasing cardiac output. Propranolol is non-selective - its a good option unless you're prone to asthma or COPD exacerbations. Atenolol, nebivolol, and metoprolol are beta-1 selective. Hope that helps!
I too have these exact symptoms. In glad I'm not alone. Exact spot is where mine throbs.
Thank you I don’t have as many symptoms but I have enough of them to believe that I also have this.
You need a vestibular MRI. It shows your inner ear area. A normal MRI will not show that area. I finally got a neurologist to order one and read by an otoneurologist and found the problem, with additional inner ear tests.
Find the root cause. Don't go with band aids such as medication, until you know what it is.
I, too, have what I call a pulsating throbbing pain that I believe is coming from my sinuses. I have had sinus problems in the past and recently forgot to take my Allegra...which...maybe the reason this problem reocurred.. (my theory)...never checkedwith a doctor...it kept me awake last night lasting about 6 hours or so. I took Allegra and an Advil and a bedtime cup of tea and it ceased. This occurs maybe two times a year. It’s annoying and distracting and it did make me wonder if an aneurysm is building as one of the theories..
hey can u explain more on this i have the same exact issues
