I got negative results day after period was due, but positive results 3 weeks after conception.
I have the hormone levels of PCOS, but haven't had ultrasound so don't know if I have cysts. I had taken a saliva hormone a couple days after conception for a different purpose-- but these were the results! My estradiol was thru the roof, testosterone very high, and progesterone very low. The doctor said I was ovulating at most once a year and would have fertility issues. Low and behold! As she was telling me this I had already conceived.
I do think that my hormone levels affected the results of my initial tests. If all was normal, I would have gotten a positive result the day after my missed period. Also, I was using a cheaper test at the start that maybe didn't detect lower levels of HCG (the hormone measured). I used ClearBlue when I got my positive result three weeks or so after conception (6 weeks counting from the first day of my last period).
Good luck!

TYPO: I meant "saliva hormone test*"
The only real way to know is get an ultrasound. Doctors don't always understand that you can get false results and still be pregnant.
I have veen going to the doc and they are still telling me im not prego but I very every symptom possible and everyrging is changing
Hi i am 32 yrs old and was diagnose with PCOS since i was a teen. During the course of my life i have had three miscarriages because of PCOS, I was using Metformin and other drugs to help me get pregnant. i kept trying for two years after my 3rd miscarriage to conceive and nothing happen.
But i will like to say to you today that dont loose hope cause i did at one point in time i thought that i would never get pregnant but i did, and now my daughter is two years old i would say that i have a lot of complication while i was pregnant i had to go on complete bed rest because of the constant bleeding but in the end it was worth it although she was born premature at 30 weeks and weighing 2.5lbs she is doing well and i am very happy.
So all you ladies who have PCOS don't give up cause just like me you too can get pregnant. So don't loose hope ok keep trying no matter what it will happen.

I want to thank you. I have been very overwhelmed. I am 7 days late, had blood and 6 at home test all negative. I have a apt tomorrow and I hope I get a ultrasound.
So I have PCOS, I have taken 3 hpt all different and all positive my question is can PCOS create a false positive ?
So I have PCOS was diagnosed at 16 and am now 28, have never been pregnant have all the symptoms of pcos 10 fold except irregular periods, my periods are ever 28-30 days like clock work, I am 13 days late, took 3 different hpt yesterday they all came back positive , is there any reason the pcos could be creating a false positive?
I was told I had pcos five years ago, I don't take birth control or any medication.
My period is now a week late. I have had a regular period for over a year. It starts the same day.
What are the chances I am pregnant.
I'm over weight. I Exercise but not as much as I should. I hAvent been able to sleep much at night. Getting up and using the bathroom a lot more.

SUCCESS STORY!
Hi all, I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago and was put on a special contraceptive (Yaz) and metformin (slow release, 1 morning 2 night 500mg)
The doctor also told me that I should stop the contraceptive at least a year before I wanted to get pregnant.
I stopped the pill in May 2016.
The other night I felt a bit of a bump to my tum, I'd also been needing to pee ALLLL the time.
I took my first pregnancy test ever yesterday and it came up POSITIVE.
My husband and I couldn't believe it, we weren't expecting this for quite some time, especially without help. We hadn't tracked ovulation or anything.
My last period was late August so I actually have no idea how pregnant I am. Before the pill I had had months between periods before so I wasn't convinced this was an indicator. Going to try to head to the doctor today :)
Hope all of you have as much luck as we did! I certainly can't believe it.
