Hi ladies,
I just wanted to say that this thread has just made me feel so much better! I have had these white head things on my nipples for years and I'm only 19. I tend to pick at those kinds of things and I have popped them and had p***y stuff come out and harder white stuff. I was afraid I was doing something wrong...now I know I'm not the only one who does it.
Tip: I have found that the more I pop them the more pronounced they get and that if you basically leave them alone they become less visible and the amount of stuff that comes out of them decreases. It takes a while, but it should work.
Also, has anyone with this problem who has been picking at them found they have less sensation around their nipples? With my bf I really can't feel if he's touching me there unless they're pinched. I'm not sure if this is becuase I already pick at them and now I've somehow caused nerve damage? Or if this is normal and many women have less sensation on their areolas? I worry that it's not normal.... :$

Women aren't the alone to get these pimples. Man can also get them, too. I should know because I'm a guy. I started to get them a couple years after I got my nipples pierce. On each nipple around the piercing I get a pimple. It comes and goes in the same spot. It doesn't hurt to pop it. When I pop it pus comes out and sometimes it's a little bit bloody pus. It's just annoying that it comes and goes. So ladies don't be embarrassed.

I've got a few of these... and they only get worse the more I manipulate my aureole and try to get rid of them by popping them. I know that popping them does not help, but can I stop? NO! So I may have a mental issue in addition to some little white pimples. Which is worse?
I just grin and try to accept it now... although I really dislike them.

Wow! I am so glad I googled it and found this information. I am 19 and not pregnant but I have started to get these things. I have been worried about it but never knew it was normal. I guess I'll just leave them alone. I'm a picker and so knowing that they aren't pimples will convince me to stop trying to pop them! lol I hope more girls find this thread.

Try using facial scrub (not a drying one for acne but a more natural one) a few times a week. Rub gently in a circular motion. It may not cure it but it'll make it a lot less noticeable.

Ugh, I have this problem too.
I'm 19 and have had them for around two years but was way too sigh and embarrassed to tell anyone, so I looked around on the internet; thank god for that. Anyways.....I have been worried about the whireheads being pimples. On one note I am glad it is acne, but the downfall is that they don't go away?! T.T I hate them so much, I don't want to deal with them forever, especially since I'm not pregnant nor plan to be anytime soon. Though I did read that it could come puberty too. I just want to know; if I can't get rid of them.....can I find a way to make them less noticeable?

yeah me too. i hope all the guys who are having this problem check this out too! im a guy and i have 5 friends that i know of that have them too. we were all drinking at a bar and my buddy brought it up and raised up his shirt and so we did too and there were a few of us that had them and they all looked like the same thing. we didnt pop them eiw, but i have before tho. and like a few weeks later i brought it up to some other frieds and they said they have them too. but heres my 'kicker' for you. I'm gay! and so are my friends. and we came to an unimormed decision on the HUGE possibility that 'these things' may be highly related to the level of estrogen produced in the Male And Female bodies. and thinking about that for a second, it May be the case that feminine people are more likely to produce them because were more estrogen prone. Now for the straight and/or 'Not Feminine' men and women, it doesnt mean that your demeanor is feminine (or if your a straight male thinking this makes him less manly or kinda gay) It does not. This is jus specualation among me and my friends no concrete info here. I never looked this up til now and im glad i did. so yeah, i hope more males catch this info, and hopefully this can be cosmetically taken care of. if anybody finds any links pertaining to the exact cosmetic surgery for this (given that nothing is wrong with your nips) please post here. im a bit skeptical about this because seems to me that, a fluid that is this intent on coming out of the body, should probably be allowed to continue its exit. otherwise we might develop bigger breasts or other breast problems. dunno.

Im so glad I found this post. I too thought that I was the only one. Here I am researching the internet expecting to self diagnose some horrible disease. Goodbye embarrassment, hello healing!! You guys are helpful, helpful, helpful. Does anyone know of any moisturizing cream to help speed up the healing process and make the scabby skin over the bumps go away?

Ladies,
Thank you so much for your honesty and help on this subject! I am in my mid-20s, and about freaked out when I noticed the change. The only worry I have now is if the hormonal change is due to an accidental change in my birth control or if I'm pregnant! (ok, so i wouldn't mind so much if I was pregnant :-P )
Thanks again!

I'm glad everyone is posting on this subject. I'm 38. And I noticed a large white spot on my right nipple last week. I poked it with a sterile pin and it hurt. Ouch. and nothing came out. 2 days later, I had forgotten about it, and i got out of the shower and looked down, and noticed the white was upraised and sticking out beyond my nipple. It was larger than the size of the O right here. I scratched it open with my nail, and squeezed, and all this hard white stuff came out, like a really large whitehead. I squeezed til there was blood, and then rubbed it with alcohol and peroxide. It hasn't come back, but the skin is dry right there. It is the first and only time I've ever seen that, and I'm assuming since it was so large, that it had been there a while but I didn't notice.
I'm assuming, since people are posting similar things, that it was something clogged, and that I cleaned it out. I know we have milk glands, and oil ducts. And I've even gotten pimples on my eyelids where you're technically not supposed to, so I may have a tendency that just spread to my nipples. Fun!!!
Anyway, if I get a recurrence, I will go to the doctor and not pop myself to be sure. I'd definitely reccomend to anyone that can't stand to leave them alone, remember proper infection control. Rubbing alcohol to clean surface area, and peroxide to soak into the layers of skin.
Thanks for posting, so I know I haven't grown the first alien nipple thing.

ladies (and gents)- these are normal but i am telling you- DO NOT PICK AT THEM!!! i am 32 years old and have had these my entire life. i starting picking at them when i was around 13 or 14. they kept re-filling so i kept picking. now i have scars on my nipples! believe me, the bumps would be more attractive than these terrible scars. you won't realize that you are doing damage until it's too late. talk about embarrassing- you will never be comfortable being topless EVER again. trust me on this- leave them alone or you will regret it later.
