I too relate to some of these symptoms with the white spots around my knees and if cold i do get purple, so far they haven't gone away with age.  I am over 40 and have had them for as long as I can remember.  We had a pool growing up so I was outside and tanning a lot, that covered them a little but if I am stationary even for a few minutes, sitting or standing they return.  My feet are always cold too.  I do not get this anywhere else on my body.  I am tall, thin and pale but tan good (must be from my Irish and Spanish mix :)).  I am active and that doesnt seem to help it go away. I usually forget about them until someone asks why I have white spots. I never asked my dr since I just assumed it was due to poor circulation, body style, etc..... I take vitamins, eat pretty good (I love chocolate & wine too much to say I eat great) I don't salt my food and live in a dry warm climate.  I do get cold very easy, my daughter does too. Her hands and feet are like ice! But she doesn't have spots. She is paler than me and doesn't tan well.  She is only 12 but I will watch what happens with her too now.  I am going to try some of the suggested things; ginger, magnesium, not sure on anti-inflammatory diet but will check it out. If I find anything that helps I will definately repost.

I am 31 and have had this same problem. I am not overweight and I have little white spots on the tops of my thighs, and especially my arms; shoulder to wrist. I know it is poor circulation because I like a cool climate, I hate being hot, and my career prevents me from being very physical. It's so embarrassing as an attractive, well-built female to have these white spots literally all overt arms. It's summer now for example, and when I wear tank tops strangers ask why I have them, its that bad. So glad I found all of these comments. Looks like I need to go see a Dr.

What you are describiing here are symptoms of POTS. My daughter was diagnosed a yr ago. It is a relatively new dysautonomia that was named in 1993. There are other symptoms that go along with it. If you also have some of those, you have POTS. Extra salt and lots of water help plump up the blood vessels and keep the blood from pooling in the legs and arms. Hope this helps. Here 's to another POTS journey.

Hi. I have the spots more in my forearms and knees. when i put my arms up the spots disapear. Im 34 male from Brazil. My blood exams are all ok... the doctors dont know whats this for sure. i did a lot of exams.
I first notice when i was 23 years old. It got worse with the time. In the cold weather they appear more. Well... It looks like im sick. I think this is bad because of the aesthetics and i became a little more timid because of the spots. They bother me but i have to live with this. I think this way because i have it for a long time and tried a lot of things.
If someone discover a way to treat this spots, please post here. bye and have a nice day.

I was told raynauds too!! Gave me coracten tabs and told me to get thermal socks and stuff. I'm currently lying in bed now roasting and my legs look like death! Swollen feet and pins and needles.. i dont agree it's raynauds either, my mum has MS & she went through all the same symptoms Im having but that doesn't seem to be enough for them to keep a closer eye on things

Please check out potsuk.org! It sounds like your condition. I have a milder version of what you have, now diagnosed with pots. Anti inflammatory diet has helped tremendously!

I've been getting these spots since I was 13 .
I am 45 now. Just realizing that it's a circulation problem. I wear circulation socks at work and to bed . I don't get them as much as before.

I have the exact same thing!! I have tried just about everything. I am 46 and have been dealing with this since I became a teenager. I have recently came across a blog about POTS. The only symptom I had was the blood pooling, purple itchy legs. I had seen a specialist in POTS, and he said it sounds like it, but, since I don't have insurance, it would be costly to do the test. He told me to take 5000 of vitamin E daily, and prescribed me compression socks (which I will never wear). I have continued to look for alternative methods to treat it, and have read the salt tablets relieve symptoms in some people. I havent tried those yet, as I am having a hard time finding them in stores. So, I have been just upping my salt intake in food. There is alot of info on POTS and I hope you find what your looking for.

I get the same thing.. this started about 2 years ago I noticed while doing the dishes I had blotchy white spots all over my legs and they were very itchy. I don't have insurance so I haven't been to the doctor to ask.. but I currently still have this probley and I've noticed a few times the blotchy white spots on both of my arms. It can be uncomfortable at times especially when trying to clean and get stuff done.. any word on what y'all think it may be?

Hi! I have Bier Spots on my legs as well and I'm starting the Rutin now. How long did it take you to some some improvements on your Bier's spots? And has the rutin helped them go away all the way now? I'm desperate for any type of treatment to make the bier's spots disappear.
