Sameeee. I have never used any medication or drugs. Don't think it's related to be honest....

I also have never used any of those drugs... but I think that there could be several different mechanisms at work and this thread lumps them all together.

I am certain that this is caused by a bacterial infection

What makes you certain? Did an antibiotic eliminate the problem? If so, which one?

No not necessarily. The reason I state this is due to some health complications I've experienced prior to and during this condition. 3 months before developing this health issue, I developed extreme morning shivering, weird urine, frequent headaches, memory loss, tense throat, and basically loose stools everyday. The severity of these symptoms ranges from day to day. However, I still experience such symptoms and I believe it's my body's response in trying to fight the bacteria.

I have had the loose stool thing which comes and goes as well as headaches that weren't around much before. I wonder how much stress is a part of this. I have been on a number of antibiotics and it hasn't touched it if it is a bacteria. In terms of loose stools my issue is having to go 4-8 times a day. Most days it's toward the high end. IBS is what I've been told before.

I now have another issue which I am sure is connected: two lumps inside my penis and nobody can say what it is. I've had sonography and even an MRI of the penis. They can be seen and they give me also painful sexual erections now but nobody knows what it is. If I take cortisone they disappear so they think that it has something to do with the lymph system. I also still think that some bacteria or viruses are involved, although all the tests have been negative so far and the Doxycycline that I took has had no effect whatsoever.

On the other hand I am now on Baclofen (25 mg per night) and I definitely sleep better, no side effects.

What is also strange is that I had my whole life very severe hay fever, even with asthma so that I had to take cortisone. This spring was the first time that I had no symptoms whatsoever - and this is when the condition startet... all of this is really, really strange and I don't know what is connected and what not.

Does any of you guys have any problems with your thyroid? Esp. an underactive thyroid, like with Hashimoto? Any history of auto-immune diseases? Like hayfever where symptoms suddenly changed? Have you had your cortisol-levels checked?

The thing is that the condition started when I stopped having hayfever (and I had had fits of asthma that nearly killed me, all suddenly gone now...strange, isn't it) and when my problems with an underfunction of my thyroid started and I still don't know if there could be a relationship.

Thank you for your feedback

I will say that when I'm experiencing this in the AM if I flip onto my back it can make things worse. This makes me think it is possible it may related to the spine. I have really bad compression/deterioration in my low back. I think trying decompression of the spine might be worth a shot. Those devices cost about 200 bucks.

Where can I get one? Has it worked for you? Does it reduce the frequencies?

Although I don't get them every day, (about 5 times a week) it mostly happens when my bladder feels full. That is, I have to get up and relieve it. Afterwards, I can go back to sleep without getting the erection again. If I don't wake up to pee, it would most likely stay up all night.

I have some questions for you guys: First, how did it start? Was it just there all of a sudden or were there some precursors like some kind of odd feeling or discomfort concerning some part of the penis?

Was/is anything different today (after this condition made itself felt) concerning your penis (erect or flaccid)? Any kinds of discomfort or pain or any feelings of strain when erect?

When you touch, feel or examine your penis by hand and visually: Is there anything different now compared to when the condition first occurred?

Thank you for your answers
