I do believe what you say about leaving religion out of this debate. But on the behalf of others it is hard when that is a woven part of ones morals. It actually becomes part of a person that can't easily be excluded. For many it is a foundation for all reasoning. In that respect, we must all respect their thoughts and feeling as well.

I like to read all he post and take the good out of each one. (although I can't really find any good with the original post - she just seems too self-absorbed) I feel for the woman on the first post. She doesn't seem that mature and I can't help but feel when she eventually matures a little more she might see things differently. And if she does ever have an abortion she might find it hard to deal with as she gets older.

Personally, I can see how you would have preferred not to be born if you were not adopted. The prospect of being raised in that type of environment would be hard for anyone to cope with. However, my mother gave birth to me a few weeks before she turned 16. She then had my sister a little over a year later. After which she was divorced by the age of 18 and left with two kids, no high school education and no support of our father. I can say that this made her stronger. She was already a strong person who stuck to her convictions, but this forced her to do what was needed. I can't help but feel your Mother loved you enough to give you away and I am sure that if she kept you, she would have do whatever was neccessary to provided for you.

I am happy to say that my mother never gave up. When we were younger she usually had two jobs. She is proud of the fact that she never went on State Welfare and was able to raise two kids on her own. She got her GED, put herself through some college and worked her way up the corporate latter. She now runs the Ohio, Tallahasse and St. Petersburg division of her corporation. My sister and I were always happy and didn't really notice we didn't have much when we were younger. I think this is because of all the LOVE our Mother showed us. She was not perfect, but we knew that she loved us very much. As teenagers things were better, we didn't go without much. Our Mother was able to pay for our college, which I must add even many starting from a middle class income are not able to do for their children.

Because of this experience, it is my belief that humans can over come any obstical if they are willing. That is why I made the statements on abortion in my last post. I due feel they are very fair.

Point taken, but you need to also take into account that it is possible to leave ones morals at the door, and put yourself in someone elses shoes. I mean completely in their shoes. As in, try to adopt that persons morals and reasoning at the situation. This is the only real way to completely understand someones beliefs, and the decisions that they make.

Example: I can put myself in the shoes of the person who thinks that pregnancy is invasion, and I can understand it. I don't agree with it at all, but I can understand the position! You shouldn't base you arguments on why your beliefs are right, but rather why the other person is wrong. And do it with logic, not religion, beliefs, opinions, or anything else. Plain and simple commons sense will do just fine.

lol, that was one of the most uneducated, ignorant things I have read yet!!

Invasion...?

Bringing knew life is sickening to you? Think however you must, but also think about where your posting your dismal attitiude and outlook.

A womens body was 'invaded' with the life that is YOU, and how do you see yourself? A waste... a gift....?

I see you've made many posts on this site and IM SICKENED with the thought of each and every one of them singing the same tune as this one did. What a lack of warmth and love you must have in your life to be able to take the time out your life to post such rubbish. Google 'hobbies'.

I agree with your way of thinking completely. Im glad you shared that with everyone.

With this particular woman tho, I dont think you can reason with a defective mind. Its more then apparent she is uneducated and thats the basis for her blubbering, ignorant comments.

I call it 'cult mentality' when ppl go to AA even tho they arent alcoholics or take a stance for or against something based on practically no facts, just to feel mighty and heard, bc really, no one in their real lives pays any attention to them. Poor things.

I was thinking about the view of... I was raped, and this is a product of a horrible thing etc.... anything in life you can look at that way, especially if it enables you to take the easy way out, on the other hand... if someone close to you dies in an accident.... can you take it back? No!! Life is unpredictable, sometimes we dont get choices we like or the allowence to make ones just to be selfish, so why should a pregnant woman get to be homicidal? You made a decision not to prevent the possibility of pregnancy. Im not saying there is absolutely NO exception.... but I have yet to hear one. Pro choice is a lose term... one that weak ppl have chosen to interpret according to their selfish desires.

Just to use your own argument against you... You say that because it's impossible to bring your friend back if they die in an accident... that life... and death... should not be the choice of people... that no woman should have the right to an abortion... and that anyone who believes that women should have a choice are cowards...

Okay, so... hypothetically, what if you DID have the ability to bring your friend back after an accident? What if you COULD save them? Obviously, if this were the case you would wouldn't you? I think that you're grouping two concepts that ought not be grouped. Life and death are completely different, and you can't say that because you can't bring someone back from the dead that you shouldn't be able to have an abortion, thus stopping life before it starts.

You know that you would save your friend in that accident if you could... if you wouldn't... then remind me never to be a friend of yours.

As for the cowards... I think anyone who believes that either groups (pro-live/pro-choice) can be considered cowards is a coward... Because both sides present their own difficulties.

I think that you should reform your argument... because the accident analogy is a little absurd.

First of all... dont attempt to quote someone when you cant get it right.

Second,

If you were using my own argument against me, then why is it you only talk about bringing someone back...? I dont see you mentioning that if it were legal to murder someone, would I?

And I used the word coward in reference to ppl turning to abortion bc they are simply such s**m that they refuse to face their mistakes. I dont see that your clever enough to even be replying, you arent on the mark at all.

I completely agree with what Luluredlocksoikn said ! That is exactly the thing I would have said to the first post ! Abortion should not be used as a birth control ! If you don't want to have children get your tubes tied !! Abstain from sex....We were put on this earth to procreate !! It's unnatural for someone to think that a beautiful child is an invasion of her body ! The natural thing is to have children ! Fine...she doesn't want a baby....ever....and she surely doesn't deserve to have a little miricle growing anside of her and loving her!! Thank God that woman doesn't want to have a child ! She would just kill it !!

I agree with the last comment Wild Orchid said...an "accident " is just another form of birth control !!! Get it together ladies! Condoms and birth control pills are free through family planning centres!!!! If you don't want to get pregnant ,,,,,DON'T. If by any chance that it is from a product of anything out of your control, then, my apologies....and this message doesn't apply to you. But for those of you's who have unprotected sex, or a concenting sexual event...Don't whine and cry that you may be pregnant !! What did you think would happen if you had sex ??? THAT IS WHAT SEX IS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR !!!!!!! >;)

This is a comment is completely not needed, referring to the "s**m". While some of us agree or disagree with this side of an issue that is older than some of our posters are, the inability to accept that someone might make a -legal- choice does not indicate they are s**m. It is simply that the legal system has allowed the choices to be made and therefore they are.

In a society where we have communities drawn apart on issues such as sexual education in schools, yet parents who do not properly teach their children safety, we cannot expect every teenager from the age of 12 till 17 to be knowledgeable. Nor can we expect them to be healthy enough to carry a child to term. More so, in poorer communities and those that are heavily religious, it is difficult to receive free or low cost birth control because of governmental red tape, even young adults are not well informed of ways to prevent pregnancy.

These are just some of the type of people that you are classifying as "s**m", just so you are aware. And if you fail to believe that these situations happen, take a trip to the smaller towns in the Southern USA or the MidWest. Amazingly on the East and West Coast cities of the USA it has been said they have fewer teen pregnancies because their young adult populations are more informed. I am uncertain of the truth in this matter, however if it is true, it is something that is working and I hope the practice is better followed for informing our up and coming adults.

On this topic itself, that pregnancy is an invasion, if someone feels that way, and does not want to have children, there are plenty of precautions and ways to avoid getting pregnant in the first place.

Just to clarify, are you against women who have been raped and fall pregnant from that act, having an abortion?

Thank you for that clarification, and the statements that every rape victim is selfish. Perhaps you need to take a real hard look at life and stop living in a fantasy world created by your own twisted opinions.

..Or.... perhaps you should go to fkn school, you m***n.
I said nothing, let alone anything in detail about rape victoms. You seem to need that comparison for your own uneducated attempts at a reply.
Try getting a life. You make me sick. You help no one and in doing just that you justify your own patheitc life. Like I have previously stated, do not attempt to quote someone if you cant get it right. Facious pig.

Have I touched a nerve? Apparently your high view of yourself has failed to justify anything you have posted. Instead of continuing to try to insult me, perhaps you should look over the forum for mental disorders and learn a little bit about yourself instead of harassing women here who are pregnant.

Indeed, the one I reserve for uneducated hypocrites.
