Pregnant and Smoking Marijuana

I'm 5 and a half weeks pregnant and I'm scared they will do a drug test cause if I fail I'm afraid they will take my baby away.....when did they drug test you for the first time?

Why would you do that to your baby????!! My husband and I can't have children of our own and so want one and when I hear that someone is abusing their baby that is unborn it makes me sick. There is no reason for that. That baby didn't deserve to be born to someone that abuses them like that.

My 19 yr old stepson made the mistake to believe his now ex-girlfriend that she couldn't get pregnant (I know, the oldest trick in the world). She is 4 months pregnant with his baby now and until a few days ago when she was convicted, sentenced and sent to county jail, she smoked a quarter of an ounce of weed EVERY DAY, all day long, mixing the weed with cigar tobacco. She herself is a drug baby, her mother smoked crack when she was pregnant with her. She has all kinds of physical and mental issues, including severe anxiety and now morning sickness all day since she became pregnant.

She is in state prison as of yesterday for 13 months for drug sales (reduced from a drug trafficking charge), selling Lortabs. I found out a few days ago that she was previously addicted to those pills too. I am so afraid for our grandchild !! My stepson said that he couldn't be around her if she wasn't "sedated" on weed, she was also emotionally abusing him by putting him on guilt trips like "I am going to kill myself and your baby" and sick stuff like that when he said that he was going to leave her and he didn't want that on his conscience. So, he rode it out until she went to jail/prison. He is a stand up guy and he will get the baby and take care of his child as soon as she gives birth in November.

I can see that maybe a puff here and there is not THAT bad, but 7 grams of weed EVERY DAY for the first couple of months, I am expecting to have to help my stepson to take care of a baby who has all kinds of health issues. I am glad this selfish, narcissistic woman is in prison, at least she can't harm our grandchild anymore and she has prenatal care too. My stepson has rejected all her phone calls from jail for a week now, he is tired of all the drama, they put her under suicide watch after he told her that their relationship was over. It had been over for a long time, she got pregnant on purpose to trap him, she doesn't care about her unborn child or my stepson, otherwise she would have quit smoking weed. I hope that she didn't take any other drugs while he was at work. I am so concerned about this baby !!

Hello, I am currently 6.5 months pregnant and I hit a toke once or twice a night to relieve stress, help me eat and help me have a better sleep. I know a girl who was a pot head and asked her doctor if she should stop when she found out she was pregnant. The doctor said not to stop because it could shock the baby and may cause miscarriage. She was told to keep smoking pot but slowly cut down. I've heard of people smoking pot throughout their whole pregnancy and have nothing wrong with their children. Every pregnancy is different and different circumstances can come in play. Best of luck :)

IM sorry I have to post on this because there are more than a few people here That are just full of s*** my wife smoked her entire pregnancy and we now have a5 year old who is the smartest 5 year that is the smartest child I've ever metat age 4 she was saying multisyllable words such as amazing incredible unbelievable ECt she's the smartest 5 year old child I've ever met and yes I glass or two of wine a day is good for a baby do the research you f****** dumbass (speaking to the naysayers not the pregnant woman .I have had two children both under smoking marijuana my 12 year old now has a 4.0 grade point average and my 5 year old is the smartest damn kid I ever met in met so help me God so what's your Excuse on that my kid is smarter than your kids I'll lay my life on the line To bet so and you say smoking harms t he fetus I say it does quite the opposite you don't know studies have been done and they cannot prove I repeat it has not been proven that pot is detrimental to a child'S learning ability nor be harmed or deformality to the fetus from smoking marijuana it may in fact increase a child's creativity like it does in a adult my 5 and 12 year old definitely has not been affected in their brain whatsoever if I have a 12 year old with a 4.0 grade point average of 5 year old that is speaking like a 13 year old then you can just eat s*** because I don't care about your opinion I have my own study to prove otherwise but yes they may take your child over it they may not if I were you I would admit to secondhand smoke in a vehicle while taking a ride in the winter if possible......kept my wife from having Cps take her child away I thoroughly believe its not going to harm your baby don't worry it's when you do the hard stuff like cocaine pcp etc heavy drinking pill poppin but trust me a God given medicinal plant like marijuana just simply to relax its the hardcore chemicals because in my personal opinion I am by no means the doctor I'm just telling you I bet you my two stoner kids stoner by being stoned in the womb are smarter than yours and if you have anything else to say otherwise I'll bet the f****** farm my kids can outsmart yours they are extremely bright the most intelligent kids I've ever met and I honestly don't see how they're related to me

All of you r wrong it inproves the memory ther nerves system and helps them focus better and if ur not smoking ciggaretts or doing anyother drug or drinking ur baby's skills will be inproved they start cooing and making noses and talking a lot sooner the only reason there r no studies done in the U.S. is becus women in the U.S. drink and smoke ciggaretts so all test came out diffrent. Look up your facts before you go and open your mouth about something u know is true or not yeh cps might get involed but if ur over 21 and do not smoke it around ur baby or even in the resadents where your baby is sleeping they close the case ik I experanced it but if u have had other kids taken cus of other drugs your screwed bad.

wtf knows wen they are 5 weeks pregnant u may think u are after a missed period of some sh*t but the weed still gonna b in your system. she may have smoked (which isn't your Place to judge her if so) before her finding out she was pregnant. people need 2 learn their place and have several seats before they feel the need to comment.

Man made medicines have more toxins and unknown ingredients than cannibus. Consuming simple headache medicines pose more of a threat to a fetus than smoking parts of a plant that comes from the earth. Breathing in regular everyday produced toxins like gas from cars and chemical plants can not be safer than smoking marijuana to relax. Stress is worse for a fetus than anything.

I smoked weed every single day pregnant with both my children who are now 2 and a half and 6 and a half years old. My 6 year old is an outstanding artist and the smartest kid in her class. My 2 year old is 90% potty trained, drinks from an open cup, can read every letter capital or lowercase and every number 1-10, she can count to 10, knows all of her colors and shapes and can carry on a perfect conversation! She has an amazing photographic memory. She even walked and talked early! Both of my kids are very smart and very well behaved. When my daughters were born they were good babies and they did not cry much at all. They are also very healthy and get sick about once every two years! My first born was in Ohio and they did not test us but my second was born in Arizona and they did test us and I had to take drug test for 6 months straight and go to drug classes and live with and be monitored by this church woman! It was BS!

Your first son suffered the most because of how you shifted your life like placing water on paper, you tried cleaning up but made a mess of everything as far as the responsibility of doing for his brothers, its just too much for him personally. You can't help him on what he believes because that is his gift he was given a big heart. The second son had someone to look at and allowed him to see whats right whats wrong little more at ease. The third was blessed to have brothers because when you throw him out on his own and he doesn't know what to do you will see all the effects that marijuana did to him.
