I had severed shoulder muscle/rotator cuff surgery 12 days ago on rt shoulder. I picked something heavy up with my left shoulder/arm yesterday. Having pain now. Could I have damaged my arm?? i am so scared. go to dr tomorrow.
I have been told to treat your good arm as careful as your bad arm.

I have little movement. Tore subscapula...so can't move it outward. I am on day 3 of PT. Oh my! Pain! PT told me today I have about 95 to 100 degree movement upwards with my arm. Pretty much on target for tiime out of surgery. Haven't gotten to bad stuff yet. OMGosh!! :(
I had rotator cuff surgery 6 weeks ago today.
the sling goes in the trash today :)! I am doing my PT but not as often as I should be.
I have pain in my shoulder mostly at night. I haven't taken the pain meds since the first week
but I want to. I just wish I could get a GOOD nights sleep.%-)

I am now into 5 weeks after surgery and for the last week or so have been able to raise my arm completely to the ceiling.
I had my month checkup with the surgeon and he said he never saw anyone have that much movement this early after surgery.
So I am very pleased,I put it all down to my physio and using a pulley rope system on top of a door and holding my arm up for periods of time, gently getting a little higher each day until I passed that tight point.
