I have been told to treat your good arm as careful as your bad arm.

Question for you,how much movement have you got now in your surgery arm?

I had myy rotator cuff surgery about 8 weeks out now and up at 1:00 am from pain. On a good note my Muay Thai trainer had the same surgery and said I'd be back to normal in about a year . He can stretch his arm every whichway more than I could before the surgery. can't wait good luck everyone.

Had shoulder surgery (tightening of capsule and cleaning of scar tissue) August 2011. Took about 9 months to get fully back to playing softball, but blew out my shoulder on the first throw down to second. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a popped anchor? I can no longer get it past 90 degrees forward flexion or abduction.

I know im replying to a very old post but the exact same thing happened to me. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and Have had pain but can tell I'm healing ok but the other day I had to raise my arms abruptly to regain my balance after almost tripping, and felt a very sharp pain in my shoulder and have been in pain ever since. What was your result after you felt the pain.

You need to be honest with doctor. You may have torn your subscapula muscle. I did and the same thing happened to me. It lets the ball of the shoulder pop out. You REALLY need to tell dr. If you did...it WILL NOT HEAL on it's own. I hate to tell you that. I am into the beginning of my fourth week after surgery and my third PT visit. Oh my...this is the worst thing ever. I will pray you haven't reinjured it...but I am told...very easy to do after surgery. BE HONEST WITH DR.!!!!

I have little movement. Tore subscapula...so can't move it outward. I am on day 3 of PT. Oh my! Pain! PT told me today I have about 95 to 100 degree movement upwards with my arm. Pretty much on target for tiime out of surgery. Haven't gotten to bad stuff yet. OMGosh!! :(

bobby 136175 : i had my operation august 16 2011, an adjustment jan 05 2012 and another operation to remove a screw that came out and floated for 5 months after the last operation i began to heal but there was a problem so i went to duke sports medicine and saw the dali lama of ortho- doctors he had another mri conducted and told me today, that my rotator cuff is healing nicely BUT i had toe bone spurs butting heads in my shoulder, so what am i saying take your meds dont be afraid to ask for more, if you feel something is not right your probable right tell the doctor!! and dont wait to go see him tell him as soon as possible, i walked around with a screw floating for five months of intensive pain and that dont work go see a sports doctor he is expensive but usually the best ramsez

ramsez- I had the surgery yesterday and I'm just being told so far to do 2 excercises 4 times a day ten times each one curling my arm like I'm flexing my bicep and two bending at waist and moving my hand in a circular motion clock wise then counter clockwise. I have a follow up in none week I'm just agfraid to lose mobility of my arm and shoulder. I've had hundreds of dislocations with both shoulders. So I'm just hoping this will be a success

I am now into 5 weeks after surgery and for the last week or so have been able to raise my arm completely to the ceiling.
I had my month checkup with the surgeon and he said he never saw anyone have that much movement this early after surgery.

So I am very pleased,I put it all down to my physio and using a pulley rope system on top of a door and holding my arm up for periods of time, gently getting a little higher each day until I passed that tight point.

Hi, I popped an anchor 4 months after surgery. Went from some movements (still with a lot of pain) to hardly any. Also could hear the anchor grinding in my shoulder. Had to go back in and have it removed! It caused another tear. Hope you haven't got one. Get a scan, it shows up straight away....hope you haven't tho

I too had a full tear.3 months out with alot of stiffness, pain and muscle spasms. PT 3 days a week. I just found out that I will undergo a 2nd surgery to remove scar tissue thats preventing some range of motion. Has anyone else had to have the second surgery?
