Have you thought about ginger ale? Or ginger tea, or candy? I hate ginger, but it is the only thing that I turn to when I have stomach problems of any kind. The chineese have used it from their benginings, and I have used it from my beginning. (I get car sick REALLY easy)

Dear...its all because of bacterial infection in stomach/intestines. Take antibiotic to get rid of it. Take Clarithromycin 500 mg twice daily with food and combination of Amoxycillin + clavulanic acid (500 + 125 mg), twice daily with food for 7 days. Take probiotic drink like "YAKULT" daily for 1 month.

hi there -  I totally get it, training and meetings, so quiet, so without any background noise.  This is what I've done, first eat small meals several times a day, bring food with you.   I usually say I'm dealing with an issue and may have to take some calls on my mobile.  Perfect excuse to leave to room and eat some steamed chicken or dry crackers.  I now am gluten free and lactose free.  I would pay good money to solve this problem.

I seem to be having the same problem. However, I do not know if it is because I have become lactose intolerant (I stopped drinking cow milk a year ago, but I can handle things like ice cream), or is it an indigestion problem. I often find myself having to go to the bathroom and let waste products out after eating everytime, whether I eat a full meal or a small snack. Perhaps it is stress? But I think it has to do with the environment, since ever since I started college, I have been getting stomach gas issues. Recently, it sounds like a gurgle filled with sloshing and my stomach hurts. Please let me know if anyone else is getting this issue no matter how much or how little they eat. I have bloated slightly in the past when I eat, but not by very much, but then in college my stomach bloats up no matter how little I eat. Sometimes I have to visit the bathroom every 10-15 minutes because of my rear end...(I feel like I have to poop and my stomach feels like it is about to explode).

I had the "noisy stomach" problem for about two years now.  It came from out of nowhere, and I could not find the reason for it.  No matter what I ate, or didn't eat, I would have this problem.  I can relate to the embarrassment and avoidance of "quiet" situations that I hear from others.

I tried everything-- probiotics, fiber tablets, change of diet, etc and nothing worked.

I am posting here because I finally found something that worked for me and I am hoping to help others with this problem.  Acai berry supplements have totally stopped the problem.  I began taking them for the health benefits (antioxidant) and found that it basically cured the stomach problem.  I have tried different kinds, and I have found that when I buy the cheap stuff from grocery outlet, it doesn't work.  I find that the "freeze dried" variety that can be found on places like Amazon work the best.  I am taking a liquid form from a brand called "Now".  I take one to two tablespoons a day.  It tastes good and it's relatively inexpensive ($12 for a month's supply).

I have also tried a capsule form from a brand called "Primier" that worked great, but have not been able to find it online since.

I have no reason why acai berry works... it just does.  Please give it a try and let me know if it worked for you.

Best of luck to all of you out there with this embarrassing problem.  I hope this works as well for you as it has for me.

I am 73 yrs. old & for 2yrs. now I've had the same gurgling problem. My Dr. has me taking Char-caps after

breakfast/lunch---it's ok for awhile, but the gurgling starts up once food enters my stomach. The noise is

horrible, the gas/bloating is horrible-and it all started when I was using dietary item to loose weight, you just

shake it on y'r food like salt.

The gurgling was under control for awhile, until a few mths ago when it started to become a constant problem.

I too, hv no pain and bm's are regular so perhaps this is a virus in my system that just refuses to go away.

It's nice to know others hv this problem as well.

I have had this problem for years and it has affected my life in every way, and not in a positive way at all. It has affected my career, dating life, and social life. I can't tell you how many times I have canceled on someone, or not taken a job because it would be in a quiet place. I have spent a lot of money because I want to get better!!! I don't want to take anti-biotics because it made me feel sick in the past and could be the reason for this problem. So this is what I'm trying not Oregano Oil 10 drops 3-5 x a day. It's spicy so watch how to take it on Jini's Heal Your Gut Videos on youtube, and another thing that is really helping BIG TIME is Pepogest Enteric Coated Peppermint Digestion Pills(3x a day with meals). When I take them...hardly any gurgling, and reduction of pain and cramping. Another benefit of the peppermint oil is it is killing off the bad bacteria in the digestive tract. I can't tell you how long to use Oregano, you will have to do your research. then you need to  take a good digestive enzyme supplement(Jarro-zymes, Garden of Life or any high quality enzyme supplement). You also need to repopulate the digestive tract with the good bacteria...Culturelle probiotic, and Vitacost brand 15-35 Probiotics(have B. infantis...great for IBS) are good and average price. This has really helped me and I hope it can help someone else. See what works for you. Keep a food diary....maybe eliminate all dairy, corn, soy, wheat and gluten products for awhile and see what foods are triggers. Also get the blood pumping...get vigorous exercise to move the body and reduce stress(meditate, breathe, relax) hypnotherapy has been shown to help for IBS.

Other things that have helped: Ginger...real ginger tea, or ginger pills. Fennel pills for digestion.

One more thing...take probiotics about 2 hours after taking Oregano oil to give the Oregano Oil a chance to kill the bad bugs.

The noises are caused by gas/bloating. When bacteria in the gut break down sugars(carbohydrates), they release gas as a by product thus causing bloat which leads to stomach noises. To avoid gas/bloating/stomach noises, you need to cut down on the carbohydrates/sugars. For instance eat bacon and eggs for breakfast, leave out the fruit and toast. Protein(meats, eggs, etc.) and fat(butter, animal fats, oils, nuts, seeds, etc.) will not cause this bloating to occur therefore keeping things quiet. Try it!

Actually while gurgling stomach, can be related to a wide range of causes from pure hunger to Intestinal Disorders such as IBS It is advised to consult your doctor , there is a also a good chance that a change in your diet such as cutting on dairy products or excluding carbonated drinks could result in rather immediate relief. I have had this issue for years now, and I think I have finally found a solution! Well, first of all my doctor has said I have IBS, so this could be one cause. I was not going out or doing anything because I was so embarrassed. I prayed a ton about it and promised God that if I found a solution I would tell other victims about it. So, being that it was getting so bad and I was having panic attacks anytime I was in meetings or family dinners, or ANYWHERE quiet, I decided to ask my doctor to put me on anxiety meds. I had taken it in the past and it made me care about little things a lot less, so I was hoping this would help. Well, it does!! My doctor explained that the first body part that these medicines affect is the stomach before the brain, so I was hoping it would relax my stomach or atleast make me not care if people heard it. Well, since I started taking these, I went from constantly having these embarrassing noises to very very rare noises ever. I only get them now if I eat something crazy; even then, it's not too horrible. I was taking Effexor. It made my blood pressure a little high, so now I'm taking Celexa and still works fine, so I'm thinking any of them will help. If nothing else is working for you, I would suggest trying this. I no longer have to worry and my stomach is no longer the only thing on my mind. I do give all the glory to God, so please pray about it. He led me in the right direction. Good luck!
