I'm 32. I have had 4 healthy and non complicated pregnancies ( although big 9+ lb babies!)

I went to the er about 6 years ago for my first sign of rectal bleeding. They admitted me and did all the tests and found nothing. I've never suffered from constipation, but over the past 5 or so years by stools have gotten looser and looser and looser. The rectal bleeding has been sporadic over the years until about a year ago I started bleeding every time I had my period. And it's not a small amount of blood. And YES I'm wiping correctly, that's the worst thing a Dr can say to a woman! But another problem is when I have this problem my stomach feel a really unwell. Neaseaus and bloated and crampy in my rectum as well. I get lightheaded too and just dont feel goos. It always goes away, but it always comes back. I've told my gp about it several times, but she always says it's probably hemmroids or a fissure or something. I just wish it would go away!

Could this be possible even when thr OBGYN doesn't think endometriosis? I've been experiencing rectal bleeding for 2 years now only during my period (and usually only on the heaviest days). It happens even without BMs. It is truly just bleeding. I had a full pelvic exam last year and a vaginal ultrasound because of painful sex, but they didn't think endo. I had a colonoscopy last month that came back OK (there was a benign lump they didn't think was the cause) , but they are sending me to a rectal surgeon next week for a follow up. Interestingly enough, my OB and the doc who performed the colonoscopy acted like I was silly to think it was endometriosis, but when the anesthesiologist asked why I was getting the colonoscopy and I told him, he immediately asked if I had endo!

I don’t know about the other stuff you mentioned but if I were you I would seriously consider getting off depo provera and switching to something else. I believe that these hormones caused me to have a condition called pseudo tumor cerebri. It’s a bigger and more costly problem than a little rectal bleeding and it’s incurable.

This is also my experience. They keep using that stupid ultrasound machine which is basically a HUGE dildo and they push around with it painfully. Then they wonder why you have circulation issues. I had Endo diagnosed when I was 26, though it had been there for 10 years by then, and when I was 44 I had my first rectal bleeding which starts around day 3 of the period (usually the same day I get a migraine), lasts for about 5 days and it's a mess to try and keep clean.

I think we need to en masse demand that they stop poking us and start tying off our hemorrhoids if that's the case.

Hi! Do you have any updates? Did you ever go back on the pill? If so, did your symptoms go back to normal?

I’ve been having this issue for a few years myself.
32 in the States.
Sometimes I only bleed bleed from my rectum. Other times it starts their and then eventually through the vaginal are. Like normal.

I have had multiple colonoscopies. One time they found two “chronically inflamed” polyps that they removed.
I also just had colon surgery a little over a month ago.
Eveything has been biopsied and tested.
All negative for colon cancer and endometriosis.

No one can explain it.
I just spent 3 days having bright red and some clotted menstral blood come solely from my rectum.
And now my colorectal surgeon wants to do an analscope to see what’s going on.

This isn’t normal. But I’m kind of glad I found a message board with others going through it
