Generally when steroids clear up a rash and it comes back there is a fungal component to the rash so u can use Nizoral shampoo and cream or clotrimazole. There are combination medications like lotrisone but it is not recommended that you use that medication on your face. It is too strong.

Hello. I responded to you because your story of the rash around your eyes seems to make you feel the same way mine does. The swelling that stretches the skin makes my eyes look extra wrinkley and I hate it. Here is what I did and it seems to help. I was so desperate that I didn't care about trying one treatment at a time to see which one worked. I started vitamins, taking benedryl 4 times a day, and washing my eyes with baby shampoo. All at once. I don't know if it was one particular of the three that I did, or a combination of all three that did it, but my redness left overnight, leaving dryness and a little swelling. By the next evening, the swelling was down, leaving the dryness. I still wouldn't put any creams or lotions on it, and by the morning of the third day, the dryness was significantly decreased. I'm continuing the same three treatments and expect for all signs to be gone. If anything changes, I'll be sure to keep you updated.

My friend's daughter spontaneously developed severe psoriasis all over her body; her hair/scalp was so encrusted and the process of washing/cleansing was very painful. The doctors couldn't figure it out or control it, they tried multiple expensive creams. Finally my friend put her daughter on a gluten-free diet and presto, ALL of her daughter's symptoms went away.

Yes! My eyes look extra wrinkly too! Have you also stopped wearing make up? And are you not applying any facial moisturizers at all?

Yes, what you had was contact dermatitis from the metal frames

I stop wearing makeup, but only wore eyeliner and mascara before anyway. I started washing my face and eyes with baby shampoo. I washed every half hour and blotted dry with a clean towel, after a while, i just started using paper towels but blot dry, don't rub. I also started taking generic benedryl every four hours. By the next day, my swelling and redness was noticably deminished but my skin was drying out, BADLY DRYING OUT! At this point, I started using a facial moisty for sensitive skin. I continued washing with baby shampoo very often and continued with the allergy pills. Wash, blot dry, moisturize and allergy pills every four hours. By day 3, the only thing left was dryness.Big itchy flakes on my eyelids and around my eyes and cheeks. I slowed down on the washing with baby shampoo but increased the moisturizer usage. By this time, the redness and swelling are almost completely gone. I kept up with the allergy pills, and slowly stopped using everything and "played it by ear" so to speak. I started doing this after having this flare up several times and the last time, had it over a month. From the time I started doing these steps, it took about 3 full days to heal up, which I thought was great since I didn't want to have to suffer with this for a month or more. Maybe this will help you too. Good luck!

Im a 16 year old male and Ive had this problem for about 2-3 years now. There's been small amounts of times where it has gone away but its only lasted for a week or less. I am allergic to a lot of foods and I have severe seasonal allergies. This gets worse for me during the Spring season with all of the pollen. It also gets a bit worse in the Winter... I live in the North East so its decently cold in the winter.I only have severe allergies to peanuts and nuts, which I obviously refrain from eating. I am also mildly or very insignificantly allergic to milk, some veggies, most friuts, some grains, and basically everything except gluton. Obviously its extremely difficult to find a diet of foods that Im completely non allergic to. Ive been perscribed creams, which have helped at first but the rash comes back after a month of using it and doesnt go away. Anything I can do to overcome this? I dont know what to do anymore

Ive also developed this problem about 4 months ago, and from the posts Im reading there is not much hope for recovery , it happened over night I woke up one morning with swollen and under eyes and rash, it then turns into a dry rash that is flakey, clears up for a day or two then it happens all over again, and it has spread to my temples and eye lids.

It itches and burns, then drys up and flakes, and the cycle starts again.

Im a 47 year old female.

Im so frustrated, Ive never has allergys like this before, if this is even allergys?

Ive tried creams and allergy pills but nothing is working.

I went to France on business for 7 days and the rash cleared up. Came back to USA and two days later it's back. What's wrong with our food?
