i have the same problem. I only get these pimples on my chin area and they get really red and sore but barely ever get a white head. I've tried every product from redness relief face washes to products the dermatologist recommended, and nothing ever made it fully go away and some would irritate it more. it sounds weird but i just recently started putting medicated chap stick on it (chapstick is the brand name of it) and after one day its almost gone! i apply every couple hrs.... any one who has the same problem as me and has tried everything i recommend to try this!

Well I must say...

I have these little red rash like blisters that also "never really come to a head" and they circle around my mouth and nose its very strange! I tried everything and have been so embarrassed. Ive tried washing my face more and stopped wearing make up and bought the best products money can buy and it seems as though they are almost scarring! It would seem as though i had whiskers with all these little bumbs around my mouth and nose and no...herpes isnt it~allthough the thought sure scarred me. Then i came across this article. I AM going through an ENORMOUS amount of life altering stress and sure enough...this post I'm replying to is probably right-on. Only problem is...whoever you are...I hope you're not too far to come back and give just a liiiitle more detail for us blondes in distress. Ie; step by step~how much tea tree oil, for how long, where can you find it? Does the baking soda have to be wet, applied dry? Sorry...but i AM a stressed wreck~lol? But I think your on to something...if I just wasn't so stressed to make it more complicated than it is...I hope you come back and share as much detail as possible...thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge:)

Also, remember, wash your pillow cases regularly. And try to use a different towel every night, or wash your towels -- especially if you use them to wipe the counter of water or anything. Bacteria is often transferred directly to your face.

Hi Guys!!

Thank god ive found this post!!

My story sames exactly like alot of these!! I had amazing skin as a teenager, im 23 now and about 2 years ago i started getting these very painful red lumps that are very painful and never produce a head. Because i get them so often i know when and where i have one coming. I will feel a slight bruise like pain in a particular area, usually my chin or the side of my temple next to my hairline. As the hours progress the pain become worse and the area raises and gets redder. The next day its a red hard ugly lump with no head, a couple of days later it goes flat but the top layer of skin peels off. The lump never goes completely flat untill i squeeze it and a very thin strand of hard white stuff wriggles out, i have to do this everyday for abour 2-3 days, then a couple of days later its gone leaving me with a small scar. I have recently started to get these on my forehead and cheeks. I agree that it is stress related but i hve no cure?? they are definately made worse when messed with and sqeezed within the first couple of days. I tend to get at least 2 a week :-( im sick to death of them!! ive noticed that i get them worse about 10 days before my period due date. I wash my face twice a day with a good anti bacterial wash.

I have also tried everything from not wearing make-up, not moisturising at night, spot creams, to microdermabrasion! yet nothing works!

I am too thinking of going to the doctor for a solution! my doctor has problems diagnosing a common cold so god help me please!

If anyone comes with a solution please let me know!! i am going to try freezing the area like someone suggested! :-) once i did crush an ibuprofen and mixed with a tiny bit of water, like a paste and but it on the area and let it dry. this was a short term fix for a night out with took the swelling down a little but it didnt clear it up!

good luck everyone :-(

I have these weird bumps also. They are all around my mouth and nose. They hurt and will practically not pop. I have tried a lot of things. But one thing that did help is the acid facial, also known as a lunch time facial. It tingles when you have it on. It helped to clear it, but did not get rid of it.
Just one recommendation, I know these things are annoying. Especially with always having perfect skin. I'm going to try the tree oil and see how that works.

What you have is called a black coma-dome. It's basically an infected blackhead that has buried itself into your skin. You have to take a needle and push it into the middle and push all the blood out to get it to go away. That is what my doctor did for me when I had it. Don't put any products on it afterwards cause it will just irritate it again.

It could be rosacea. The symptoms and affected areas correspond.
It is common with individuals approaching 30, and stress triggers occurances.

It is not rosacea, they are bumps, looks like little pimples but just do not have a head where the puss is supposed to come out. If it was rosacea it would be a problem beneath the skin and everyone on this post had it in the same spot, around the nose and chin. Rosacea is in your t zones.
Plus I have tried treatments for roseacea and it does not work, this is something different.
Anyone have a professional figure it out yet?

Hi, I think what most of you are talking about is something what I have been trying to remove for almost 2 years. Well, I still havent found the long-term (forever) fix, but i have found a way to prevent them from coming out, or if they do it will be very rarely. From what I have heard/learned about them, they come from a weakened immune system (not enough vitamins in your body). My whole story of finding out what they really are is very long, so i will just cut it to the chase :-)

1st: Eat vegetables and fruits everyday.
2nd: Get these pills (CENTRUM PERFORMANCE), they are not harmful in anyway, infact they are tablets that contain vitamins in them. Im not sure if they have other kinds of what I have, but it should be a yellow/orange box and on it should say: Multivitamin/Multimineral Supplement and on the side: Energy plus, Psysical stress, Healthy skin, Immunity. (Take 1 everyday)
3rd: Get (Clindamycin phosphate topical solution, USP) - This is something my doctor prescribed me to put on my face every night I go to bed and it has been very helpful. I think this is a medication that you will be able to get only if a doctors prescribes it to you, as it contains some kind of antibiotic.
4th: Wash your face every morning and night before and after you sleep.

I have been doing this for the last 3-4 weeks and is working really good for me. I cant say how long you will need to do this, or if they will come back after you stop using the above steps, but it will atleast help keep your face clean for now.

Thank you and good luck. :-)

I am 14 and I have occasional pimples, but nothing bad. But now I have this giant growing red bump right next to my hair line. I don't think it is from oily skin, because the skin on top of the bump is very dry. At one point I tried to get some of the fluid out of it but it was really hard and I didn't really succeed. And, where I was pushing on my head next to the bump, I made a dent! In my head! And it is still somewhat there! This bump is growing bigger, and I really don’t think it is a zit. If I puncture my skin no fluid will come out. It hurts whenever I put my head down, make a facial expression or touch it. This bump is probably an inch by an inch. Someone please help me!!!!!!!

Severe acne vulgaris is characterized by nodules and cysts:

Nodules: As opposed to the lesions mentioned above, nodular acne consists of acne spots which are much larger, can be quite painful, and can sometimes last for months. Nodules are large, hard bumps under the skin's surface. Scarring is common. Unresolved nodules can sometimes leave an impaction behind, which can flare again and again. Absolutely do not attempt to squeeze such a lesion. You may cause severe trauma to the skin and the lesion may last for months longer than it normally would. Dermatologists often have ways of lessening swelling and preventing scarring, such as injecting the lesion with cortisone.

Cysts: An acne cyst can appear similar to a nodule, but is pus-filled, and is described as having a diameter of 5mm or more across. They can be painful. Again, scarring is common with cystic acne. Squeezing an acne cyst may cause a deeper infection and more painful inflammation which will last much longer than if you had left it alone. Dermatologists often have ways of lessening swelling and preventing scarring, such as administering a cortisone shot.

I hate these. im 18 and i get them alllll the time. only on my chin or like on the sides of my face right in front of my ears. they stay for about a month and never come to head. you can usually feel a small hard bump after ones diminished for a while. :/
