I was there four years ago for a consultation. The idea you get from the state of the art website with loads of fancy info and the idea I got of the consulting rooms were not the same. The receptionist took my consultation fee and put it under a book. How professional. He could not manage to give me the result on the computer he was aiming for, he tried 3 times. He then told me I have a "very complex nose"...... no comment. Then he told me it would cost me R99 000. you read right R99K. (four years ago) The reason being my nose was too "complex" Clearly he was not sure he could fix my nose. There are no other references to him on the net, only his own inflated ego. If you want a world class surgeon, go to someone like Dr Saul Braun.

Do not go to Dr. Swanepoel. He completely botched my Rhinoplasty and refused to accept any responsibility. He actually pierced the skin on the hump of my nose from the inside while removing some bone from the bridge. He said nothing and bandaged it up. I was in a lot of pain and there was a lot of blood leaking from under the splint. When I went for a follow up a few days later he removed the splint took a look and put on a new splint. I had the splint removed before traveling overseas and he put some tape on. It was only a few days later when I was overseas and removed the tape that I saw the massage scar across my nose. I was horrified and broke down in tears. I went back two months later for a follow up and he asked me what had happened to my nose and why it looked so bad. He had to refer to my file and his notes during the surgery before he realized it was him who made the scar. He referred me to a dermatologist that used laser on the scar. It reduced it significantly but it's been 2 years and it's still visible. Dr. Swanepoel suggested I cover it with makeup. The bridge of my nose is also very bumpy and looks different from my left and right profile. Dr. Swanepoel said he could do another surgery to correct it but how could I ever trust him again? He said that this had happened to some of his other patients too and he managed to correct their noses with revision surgery. In my opinion Dr. Swanepoel should not be practicing medicine and should have retired a long time ago.

Hi, it's past March already, have you had your surgery with Dr Swanepoel yet? If so please give me feedback, I would like to go for a consult in November, but all I'm getting is so much negative feedback

I also had a a negative experience with Dr. Swanepoel and feel that my nose looked better before the operation. He has so many years experience, that is why I trusted him. He seems to blame my scar tissue for skew my new nose that is slightly scew and the tip of my nose is not smaller at all, just the shape has changed. I am heartbroken.
