rhinoplasty still swollen so very much after 1 week

Hi there. I had a rhinoplasty 7 days ago and as most of people i was extremely scared when the dr removed my cast yesterday piggy look and tip too much lifted but your post was the most interesting for me because you said that your columella was showing alot and it feels very hard when you touch it and this is what i saw when the dr removed my cast i literally cried when i saw my nose and am still crying. So if you please please please can you give me your feedback. Did your nose change after a while? Thank you

Was there any changes to your nose, did it get any better? i had a surgery wid dr Kwak few days ago and not satisfied with the results at all, i know i' still in the early stages, but the nose does not even look close to what we discussed

I had a surgery with edward kwak as well. he made my nose too small and im considering revision now. I feel the dr is nice to talk to, but has no asthetic eye

Thanks for sharing! Today I got my cast removed and I know it's been only 7 days but I was horrified when I saw my pig nose! I'm hoping that the swelling subsides quickly and the tip drops down soon. It's just frustrating knowing you have to go to work and see family and friends with the pig tip and frozen upper lip and feeling the burn of judgment:(

I had my open rhinoplasty 6 days ago and had the splint removed today. I have been reading and almost everyone is saying to be patient with the swelling and I am aware that it takes time to heal sufficiently however my nose is tripled in size and looks incredibly abnormal. I am just worried after spending years of my life saving to then have the cast removed and dislike what I just spent my years of saving on.
Just over worrying I think?

when you say he put tape on you? what do you mean?
I had a rhinoplasty 6 days ago, got my cast off today and horrified to how I look. I am taking medication for swelling but has anyone taken anything or like a remedy to help with the swelling that they believed worked? xx

How long until you saw results that you were happy with. I had closed rhino 1 week ago and when the took my splint off the doctor said the nose looked thin and beautiful. When they handed me the mirror 2 minutes later that's not what I saw. I looked like an avatar swollen between the eyes all the way down to the tip.

I'm one week post surgery. My cast/stitches were removed yesterday and I sobbed when I saw myself for the first time. I've done a ton reading and it sounds like week 3 is when things return to normal. Does anyone have any tips for reducing swelling? I've been taking arnica but don't feel it's working that well.

Had rhinoplasty one week ago and I'm so very swollen! It's hard to accept and be hopeful especially since the swelling won't entirety go away for one - two years! I feel like my nose looks so wide and big! I still have bruising. I cried for the first two days my cast came off! My nose swelled up like a balloon after the cast came off! I don't feel like myself. It feels very tight and stuffy. I went to a face specialist plastic surgeon so I'm hoping for good results.

Dr taskin yucel in Turkey Ankara.. not a big fan of the city but this surgeon gave my old nose back exactly how i wanted. Still very swollen though only 2 weeks post op :/
