15 yrs after my surgery I started having simular issues. I then had 2 attacks that sent me to the emergency room that were just like severe gallbladder attacks. They found that there was scar tissue blocking a duct or tube that had something to with when they removed my gallbladder. They put in a stint of some kind to open it back up. It's been 6 years since and so far so good.

Irritable Bowel diverticulitis can cause a lot of these same symptoms as well.

Your post sounds just like me....a pressure in my gallbladder area, tenderness, a lump, and I feel like food is getting stuck there....have pain 1/2 inch from a surgical incision...near that area....I hope my doctors are not missing anything...doubled over in pain last year, bottom right side...after looking at pictures on the internet, do not think it was a gall stone now...maybe an infection, or blockage near my appendix....very frustrated...just spent 6-7 days with intense abdominal pain, can feel acid in my intestines, and pinching acid in my gallbladder area...they think I have an ulcer now...gastritis...I am worried that all this extra acid is eating away at my organs, or could cause some kind of cancer...now...

I have the same sort of pain, a cat scan is the only thing I haven't had done. I've been to a physio to work on the scar tissue and that eleviates the pain as well as not eating bread. I've looked for so long if other people have the same issue.

I have a 23 year old daughter who had her gallbladder removed two years ago within six months after surgery she started having abdominal pain she's been seeing multiple GI doctors had cats cans ultrasounds every urine test they could do and everything would come out clear except she's been in excruciating pain some days it's so bad she can't move and we have to take her to the emergency room just to get some relief for a few hours. GI doctors recommended her going and having pain management the problem is is that there are no pain management abdominal specialists in our area I almost feel like they were shoving her off. Went to general practitioner recommended going back to the surgeon who did her gallbladder surgery. Thanks that possibly she may have develop scar tissue and lesions the pain never lose it is exactly where her gallbladder was right underneath fortuity incisions were. She's 23 this kid can not live with this kind of pain she needs to go on and live her life she can't have a job right now she when this process started two years ago was 140 something pounds she's been as low as 110. Right now she is going back to about a hundred and twenty seven pounds. If she is using medical marijuana to help her have an appetite because the stomach medication they give her makes her not want to eat she has to eat slow because she feels like she's getting full too fast. As a parent it's a nightmare reading all of your stories and the pain that you won't go through don't let anybody tell you it's in your head because she's heard that before because she also suffers with anxiety PTSD in a mood disorder period that pain is real I hope we get some answers when we go back to the surgeon nobody should have to live with this kind of pain.

I had mine out in 1990. I have scar tissue that could usually press down on it when it tried to go under my ribs. Well, now it's stuck under there. Feels like between my ribs. Hurts to cough or breath in deeply. I need to go see a doc but I'm scared. Has anyone else had this problem??

I have the same problems, but I have been taking a spoonful of apple cider vinegar in a large glass of water (it's nasty!) about three or so hours before I go to bed to help my digestion. That seems to help. Every night after I lay in bed for about 2 1/2 hours, I end up having horrible acid reflux or needing to throw up acid but the vinegar is helping. I still have issues with a popping, lumpy pain under my right ribs when I turn a certain way. Yoga has helped.

When I had my gall bladder out , the surgon ripped my liver. The pain was horrible ! They put a stent in, and then removed it 10 days later. I still had terrible pain. I went back to the Dr. , he did a CAT scan ,got the results and told me " Oh that's from scar tissue. " I can't take it out because it will grow back and make it worse. " So have to put up with all of this pain forever. I should have sued.

How did it all turn out or has it? Did you have the scar tissue or adhesion removed?
I am 4 weeks out from surgery for gallbladder removal. My surgery was intense because It ruptured in the 24 hours prior to surgery. I'm a bleeder and had to be hospitalized 24 hours prior to my surgery. My pain increased about 8 hours before my surgery. I had been diagnosed with gallstones and a very bad infection, so the surgeon wanted to wait 6 weeks at least to allow the inflammation and infection to subside being performing the removal. Well my gallbladder had an abscess as well as several stones had passed through the gallbladder and ripped places in the bile ducts before attaching themselves to other organs and quite literally becoming like stone plastered onto other organs. They were on my liver, my pancreas, the outside of my stomach and on my spleen. I was septic to boot. They cut an additional 3 incisions and washed me out before and after the removal of all the 'junk' plastered about.
I've had 11 rounds of IV antibiotics (most rounds of 2 medications at a time) and 3 rounds of oral antibiotics.
After an additional 3 days in the hospital, I was on the mend. About a week ago my pain began again. It is right under my last right side rib. I can not move, walk or stand without intensive pain. I can not potty or pee without nearly fainting. I now have loose stools and bloating like I am 7-8 months pregnant. I'm crying for the majority of each day.

My surgeon is gone for 3 more weeks for vacation and I am almost certain that it must be an adhesion.

Please let me know how, if anything changed for you.
