I share identical pain and symptoms - right side pain near rib cage and going through to back. Terrible constipation and consequently SIBO and other bad gut bacteria. My physician-friend attended SIBO symposium in Portland this past weekend and has suggested a CT scan for possible adhesions from gallbladder removal surgery last year. She also recommended that I look into Clear Passages - a physical therapy facility that unsticks adhesions manually. As soon as I get my test results., I am going to go that route. Seems that more surgeries cause more adhesions and scar tissues.

I had my gall bladder removed 45years ago when I was 30. Over the years I have had bouts of pain below the ribs and right through to my back sometimes it was agony. I have had various tests but never a scan and I have never had a diagnosis. Today it was so bad I was sent to a and e by the paramedics. The doctor said it could be scar tissue and I would have to learn to control the pain when it occurred. This may be because I am now 75 so I will have to wait and see. My sympathy goes out to all sufferes I thought treatment would have improved over the years?

Did you guys see gastro or a surgeon? How did yall detect it? I'm having the same problems and I've had about every test besides an MRI and they have been normal.

I have had my gulbatter took out. I was fine for about 6 weeks. Then it started to come back, and still to this day I get them every day all day but know it seems it's getting worse. I'm only 23 years old I have had this pain since I was 17 years old. The surgeon says it is scar tissue bit up and need to do surgery to reopen the duct to see if there is any acid stuck.

I also had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago and now have a intermittent pain where it was removed .Also a full feeling after eating only a small meal. The pain started out slowly at first after doing sit ups now have had to stop any upper body exercise My doctors can't find the reason and suggest that its probably scar tissue and the next step for me is exploratory surgery .I also have a constant slight pressure over that area that is really bothersome when my seat belt pushes against it while driving. Guess I'll try exploratory surgery next.

Just saw this post as I was trying to find out what this "thickening" is across the midriff area.....I too had a gallbladder surgery but my surgery was a fraud surgery for I only had complaints of bloating but this was associated with taking high doses of pain relievers for bad on-going headaches that I had......hope to have the two so-called docs behind bars for committing this surgery.....they did it for money and to hurt my appearance but it hurt my stomach......also hope to have medicine taught K through 12 with free on-going refresher courses so we are all on the same page and thereby not capable of being fraudulently deceived!!

I hope you saw more doctors. If your dr. isn't offering a better alternative to dealing with the new limitations, few other opinions may make a big difference.

I had my gall bladder removed in 2001. I have had pain on my upper right quadrant. Same story, ultra-sounds, colonoscopy, bloodwork. Dr's can't find an explanation. I am frustrated and I am in ER a few times a year where they give me pain meds. I don't know what else to do.

Hello, about a year ago I have had my gallbladder removed laperscopic way and it has been killing me for the whole year. Have had every single test ran, been to the ER about a good 10 times in the past year and blood work done and all my test and blood work came out normal. Not exactly sure what it is but its scaring me, and making me not being able to do what I used to do in my life. Definetly been having digestive issues but the doctors and GI doctors can not pin point the reason why I would be having this pain in my right upper Q! I just wish it was the old days where doctors fixed you and sent you home instead of putting you on pain medicine and saying you will be alright! wish I had more answers!!!
