I've done a ton of research on what this pain could be and keep coming up with the same two options. Maybe research them and see if either fits your symptoms?

Hematometra - when blood is being produced somewhere in the uterine cavity but it is unable to pass through the cervix. The backup of blood within the uterine cavity is related to scarring that occurs in the lower portion of the uterus near the cervix after ablation. Less than a teaspoon of blood backing up can produce symptoms of pelvic pain and can be excruciating. This is also sometimes called Post Ablation Syndrome.

Adenomyosis - when the inner lining of the uterus (the endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus. It's very difficult to diagnose because it's hard to see on ultrasound but may be seen on MRI. It's most often identified after a hysterectomy.

*I'm not a medical professional, just a research queen. :) Hope this helps someone!

I too have been experiencing extreme pain unbearable at times. I received ablation about 8 years ago. The last 3 years the bleeding has seemed to regenerate. I notice that dark blood clots appear in the toilet around my painful moments (obviously old blood) . I have wanted to throw up the pain is so severe. I have had ultrasound on my ovaries and uterus.... All looked healthy. I am 46 years old.... I don't want to continue this way anymore. I am considering a partial hysterectomy.

OmG...this sounds EXACTLY like me! I actually ended up in the ER and because of the pain and the high CBC they were about to take out my appendix. Then they diagnosed me with diverticulitis but I'm convinced this is related to my "period "

I have this and it's so bad now after 5 year I have to have a hysterectomy in a few weeks time. The problem is that the womb is thickly scarred and when you mense the blood gets trapped and backs up into your tubes. They have tried twice now to take biopseys but the scarring is too thick. Sorry to tell you this because it's hard to accept. But as yet there us no other cure that hysterectomy. I'm gutted because I can't stand the constant pain any longer and these days I don't bleed at all instead I just bloat, but I feel sick and sometimes cry with pain. I just wish I had know the long term effects of ablation but not one doctor told me. Instead they told me it was the best thing ever using state of the art technology. So after a mastectomy I sm now to lose my uterus ovaries and my cervix. Sorry but I have searched everywhere fir an answer and there isn't one.

I am 38 years old and had the Novasure procedure about a year ago. I was suffering with excessive bleeding and sever cramps and diagnosed with Endometriosis. I no longer has periods since the procedure but I am having a strong odor of old blood and severe cramping. I don't know what to do. This is very embarrassing and scary since I'm not having sex and haven't had sex in over 3 months. I did have a tubal ligation back in 2012. Please someone help

I'm having these pains as well. 5 days after novasure. Ive had surgery inthe past for cleaning out after a softball sized cyst ruptured. The pain is from fluid being trapped in the abdominal cavity. Im trying to wait it out but am going to have to go to the er soon. Its unnearable. Fels like knives when you sit to use the bathroom? Inside your vagina and anal area? As little as a tablespoon of fluid trapped can cause unbearable pain.

I had an ablation about a year and a half ago and I got no relief. It was a failed procedure. Since the procedure I've been dealing with extreme cramps. When I went to a surgeon, for consult for my partial hysterectomy, he explained that the cramps have to do with scar tissue lining your uterus. He said it was very common. I will happy when I have the surgery and I'm done with this c**p!

I go thru the same thing!!!! And idk what the name of my ablation was, I just know my former obgyn inserted a balloon and and inflated it and heated it up to about 180 degrees and burned the lining of my uterus away. I now have a new obgyn and he doesn't help, and I seen a specialist and he didn't examine me, or anything, but said i have IBS!!!! So I am demanding a hysterectomy. My former obgyn didn't tell me anything about my ablation except that it would lighten my period!!! Well 2.5 years later and I haven't had a cycle yet, but the cramps are unbearable, like they immobilize me to the point I'm curled into a ball, rocking back and forth, in tears. I can't eat for days, and it feels like something is trying to fall out of my butt, or like i have to push a baby out. I've been to the ER several times and the result of the pain was a cyst or multiple cysts on my ovary/ovaries. One cyst was a 1.5 inch blood-filled that I needed removed urgently so I got it removed in January of this year, by the same obgyn that did the ablation and come to find out he removed half of my right fallopian tube b/c when he tied them 2 years ago he fuzed it to my ovary. I was just diagnosed with PCOS, and told I am pre menopausal... I'M 24!!!!!! I NEED ANSWERS!!!!

Hello Wow so many woman experiencing such horrible cramping after ablation. Thats why I am here my Cramping I would describe as labor pains they come and go. They are worse when I am sitting. I also get pain shooting in my back on the same side as the more sever pain with heaches and nausea. I have a fibroid that wasn't removed during the ablation because it was on the outside of the uterus and I was told those kind dont cause pain. Its on the left side. I have more sever pain on my right side.Thiis is my second months after the ablation the first month my period was heavier with clots and lasted almost 9 days. I am also very tired. I'm supposed to track any symptoms for 6 months and then go back to my Gynecologist who is great. I see my family Dr 2 days from now and will mention to her but she will most likely say I need to keep tracking and see what happens from now until I see the specialist. I am really hoping they dont get worse but sounds like they possibly could. I also had a tubal years ago.
