This is exactly what happened to me, same age and everything. My Gyn said that I have scar tissue in my uturus and my uterus is trying to shed the lining which started generating again after I realized that I am the statistic, the population of low percentage of ablation fails. When I got the procedure, I'm sure she said 2-3% failure rate, now she is saying 10% failure rate. I wonder if this is worth a class action law suit????

Hi
I had ablation approx 11 years ago and my periods stopped I have ploy cystic ovaries too
For the past week I have had severe pelvic cramps and lower back ache and the pains go down my legs too
I have a ultra sound scheduled later this week, is 11 years too long for post ablation syndrome to appear?

It has been 6 days since my surgery. My abdominal pain is horrendous! I was given Tylenol and I'm staying super tired...

OMG! I am going through the EXACT same thing. I also get nauseous with it. I would rather just have my period before the ablation than continue in this agony.

I also am in agony. My dr doesn't believe it has anything to do w the EA but I was fine prior. I've been to hospital several times and have had everything checked. They say nothing is wrong but here I am again in excruciating pain. Mine comes every month or so and lasts 2-3 days. Pain is the worst at night. I wish someone could help us. I do not want to have a hysterectomy at 42 years old.

I just had this procedure done august 25th and at first it felt like i was in labor for a hour. Then it went away. now just 4 days ago i started having heavy discharge with a smell. Now i'm spotting with on going cramps. What is really going on? it's only been 18 days. Do I really need to see a doctor? or will this go away?

I have been experiencing this post ablation pain for several years now. I always had severe cramping with periods soy Doc decided it was best to have the novasure. It was great for the few years and than I would get monthly cramping like you. The kind that takes your breathe away compared to labor pains. I have mentioned this to
My OB for years and she said she doesn't understand and wants me to see a gastro doc before she considers a hysterectomy
I am 48 and totally understand your dilemma.
Wish someone could figure this out.
Pain meds don't touch it and I refuse to go on higher diesels. Tried the pill but had a friend who had a stone and decided Nope!
Next step is a second opinion.
Good luck with you as well.

I had my novasure about 10 months ago. I am having the same pain. It is so awful. I thought I had researched this procedure, but I missed this information until this next week. I started having the cramps and pain. I didn't even get a year if of peace. Don't know what to do next?????

Actually the pain is the lining! Your ovaries send a signal to the uterus. And it becomes engorged with blood but it's trapped behind scar tissue causing debilitating pain!

I had the lining of my uterus removed nobember 2016 as I used to have very heavy periods, it did work I have a little dark spotting each month but no more heavy bleeding, BUT the last 3-4 months i have been getting very very severe pain and cramps as bad as Labour pain it's that bad it's making me want to vomit It hurts so much I even cry... I also haven't felt well since the procedure almost a year ago I have severe anxiety since has anyone else experienced this? If I had of known all this I would never have gone through with it id sooner bleed heavy than have ended up like this..

If you have discharge and smell that indicates infection you need that looking at hun

"Total" ablation can still miss patches of tissue. That's why some women have it grow back after a few years. If it is removed completely, it can never grow back, but if there is a section left, it will.

Also, there is a condition in which scar tissue grow over the opening of the cervix, preventing the expulsion of blood from the uterus. And less than teaspoon of blood can cause horrific cramps if it becomes trapped in the uterus.

OP, I hope you got this figured out already, but if not, you should get your gyno to check for scarring ASAP

I’ve had all the same pain as you all!
I finally found a doc who believes me. He called it ablation.....
(I can’t pronounce it). Anyway, he said the uterus is trying to do its job but because of the ablation the contractions are so much worse. Only solution is a hysterectomy or stop my monthly cycle. I chose the latter. He took blood work and said my estrogen was very high. He started me out on
100 mg of bio identical progesterone. No pain in last three months!!!
I’m 48 yrs old and to close to menopause to have chosen a hysterectomy without at least trying this first. I told the doc I was still a wacadoodle during first week of the month so he increase my mg of the progesterone.
Just started that so I’m waiting to see if that helps. I’ll let u all know...

I have also experienced the same symptoms and have post ablation syndrome! The pains are horrific and debilitating. Go back to gynae. I’m having a full hysterectomy in a week as after 2 years I can’t bare the pain anymore
