I am the same sort of thing. I feel sick at night but I never am sick, and it makes me really sad. I can never sleep and when I do sleep I either wake up fine or I wake up feeling sick still. It's so unpredictable. I eat my norm fruit and vegetables and the norm healthy diet every day but I still go to sleep feeling sick, accept, I never am sick. When I was younger (my whole life I've been afraid of throwing up) I was so scared that I was going to throw up that I made myself sick so my whole life I thought it was in my head so I tried techniques to make myself feel better and 1 out of 5 times made me feel better.
I hope somebody could help with what I experience. Thanks.

Hi I have somewhat the same thing I have GERD and also crohn's disease ( I'm 19 and I had GERD since I was 10 or 11 and it was thus year that I found out I also have crohans ), I wake up every night at like 2 or 3 am it's so bad that I get like paryzlied with fear and it makes it worse. ( I have a fear of throwing up.) So this does not help. The nausea or whatever is so bad that I have started to wait til after 2 or 3 to pass by to sleep. When I was first dignosed my doctor and me take b12 vitamin shots. I have to say that has help out alot! As someone who can not eat many things, I will tell you that it may not be your diet per say that is making you feel crappy but it can be the vitamin that you aren't getting.

Please go to the dr ASAP. My uncle just died with pancreatic cancer and the only symptom he had before the pain started was some upset stomach and excessive burping. He blew it off as indigestion but when he started to have severe pain as well, it was too late for them to treat it.

I don't know if you still use this or would even see it! But I'm almost certain you're my double! I get this, every night, I've had so many blood test, scans and now I'm waiting for my appointment to see a specialist. I cry myself to sleep, my boyfriend is fed up of hearing it. To everyone else I'm 'over exaggerating' but I'm not. I have had enough! I just want to lead a normal life and not feel like this. I had had it for 2 and a half years and it's still not sorted. I've taken untold amounts of tablets for different things! I've never been so down or depressed ever. It has put a huge strain on my life! How's yours now?

I just want to add a few things. I have been suffering with this night nausea for 5 years. I had a few tests and I got told I have Pyrrole Disorder, Gastrointestinal Parasites and Reflux. You may want to ask your doctor to test you for pyrrole disorder and parasites (stool sample). These tests are essential to check yourself thoroughly. These medical conditions both cause nausea. The reflux is annoying but you need to change your diet and lifestyle to reduce it. I will tell you a few things that have worked for me. Digestive Enzymes, Probiotics and Magnesium should be taken every day. Do not eat past 7pm and only eat a very small meal. Reflux and nausea occur when we eat highly acidic large meals at night time. Ideally eat something less acidic at night. Follow the alkaline/acidic food chart. Avoid foods that you make you feel bloated or sick. Meat is highly acidic and causes nausea. Some foods that I avoid, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, spicy food, chilli, meat, apples, bananas, onion, tomato, wheat, vinegar and dairy. Rice products seem to work better and don't cause really bad symptoms. Rice pasta is a good option. If you want to eat meat, eat it for lunch instead or eat only a small amount at 5.30 or 6pm. Changing your lifestyle and diet is the only thing that works for reflux nausea. I use straight squeezed lemon juice from one lemon mixed with water, and ginger tablets to reduce my reflux symptoms the natural way. Alternatively you can use lemon and ginger tea but add extra fresh lemon juice. This does work because lemon turns alkaline once it enters into the body. So turning the acid reflux into an alkaline environment, reducing nausea naturally without pharmaceutical drugs.

I hope this helps in some way.

Don't get nervous, sounds like heartburn... acid reflux. It's awful. Still go to doctor but I wouldn't jump right to cancer or stones.

Hey! I had a surgery done and while the surgeons were in there they decided to sew up that flap u are talking about and it helped for about a year and it's back again... I deal with it by drinking boiled water still nice and warm, also try different dairy products see what works for you...oh big one that WILL help you sleep add an extra pillow or two under your head while you sleep... Never take tums they are known to give alsers... Doctors can prescribe stronger gaviscon that may be covered by a medical plan... I take other median that I need unfortunately these medications can eat away at your stomach lining also ask your doctor about possibly putting you on stomach lining medication for a bit I find it really helps lol when I remember to take it that is this name of mine is radotine I believe any who seriously look into that option as the acid can also eat away your stomach lining and once that's gone surgery can be needed feel better! If you have an intolerance to dairy try almond milk!

So this was my life for almost 5 years until I got a diagnosis that changed everything. ANXIETY. I know, that sounds so stupid, "I'm not anxious" you tell yourself, or my favorite that I said all the time was "if my stomach hurts then the problem is my stomach". That makes sense right? Well, I finally got a medical degree and understand how closely linked body systems are. Anxiety can come at anytime and have nothing to do with your life or what your thinking about, but where most anxiety comes from is unrecognized stress. Every night you get afraid that your going to throw up then you work yourself up, without even knowing it! Then your heart starts to race, then your head gets fixated. When you do this your body thinks its going into a minor stage of shock and starts conserving blood and only pumping it to your vital oragans, and SUPRISE, your stomach is not considered vital. So you lose blood supply, which relaxes this organ a little too much and that door thats supposed to stay closed at the top of your stomach starts flapping all around! Acid and whatever else is in your stomach either starts to come up your throat or gets pushed through without being broken down enough. This is why that baking soda works so well at first! It neutralizes all that acid so it doesn't hurt so bad. However at the same time that means that the food in your stomach can't be properly broken down and your blood stream absorbs the baking soda and starts to mess with your PH balance. Which in turn will cause cramping and in an hour or two your stomach will hurt again! So, at this point I was like "well what the heck can I do then?" Calm down. Stop pacing! Go distract yourself and do whatever you have to do to relax and get your mind off this feeling. For me its movies. When I start to have this issue I go to my recliner, rub my stomach and turn on a movie that has parts I can sing or him along to so I know I'll stay distracted until my brain calms down. Oncw my brain calms down my stomach can calm down. I would try relaxation and distraction techniques for a week. Start with something that distracts you then figure out a way to do it so you can relax. You have to do both. Please dont be like me and ignore this possibility because it doesn't make sense. Just give it a try. if in one week you can improve a problem thats been happening for a year, without medicine, and without having to spend money, isn't it worth a shot? Good luck!!! I really hope and pray this helps you!!!

i have read many of you guys have the same problem like me. mentally satisfaction is more important first therefore you guys must get your thoroughly checkup to find out if there is not any problem like heart. ulcer. gallbladder and kidney etc.
otherwise just take care of your diet and try to eat the foods which are not very much hard to digest. Also avoid spices and any type of juices and soft drinks. Never go close to the foods which are preserved with acids e.i. tin pack foods. Also avoid alcoholic drinks too.
God has gifted us all type of foods like Meat, drinks, fruits etc. enjoy them but in a limit.

I am a male age 60, On Dec 3rd I kept getting woke up like I was going to puke, sit up very fast on the edge of the bed. Never puked. If I lay down the best I can do is about 1.5hrs before I wake up with the same feeling again. Once the feeling starts it takes hours to be able to get another 1.5hr nap. My FITBIT sleep tracker shows the whole process...I am disgusted and the only thing that makes me feel a little better is to stay up and not sleep or eat.....that's not going to work. I am 5'8" and weigh about 195 and could use to lose some weight but feeling like this is not how I planned it but I am going to take advantage of it. It came on all at once and hasn't let up, been 8 days too long right now. As soon as I feel like I am going to doze off I wake up with the feeling to puke every time. I do not feel that it is stress related because I am a retired police officer and never felt stressed at work or had any problems like this. I hope a scan shows something enlarged or swollen that is causing the problem. I am drained of energy every day that it keeps happening and have no motivation to do anything because I have the pukey feeling all of the time but its worst at night or when I want to take a nap to get more than 3 hrs sleep a night.....if someone told me this was happening to them I would never believe it!
