I'm 70 years old and have had that pain for 6 weeks-no other symptoms. Doctors don't know what it is. Had imaging -nothing shows. It's a mustery. I'm concerned- I just don't see that the doctors have a lot of knowledge or common sense anymore.

Hi
I am 26 years old and have pain right side of my lower pelvic area when my period start every month.I experienced this from the last 4 months now.I don't know what it is but it's gone with my period and back again next month. Is this due to the UTI that I had? possibly still have, but I went to the doctor and have finished taking the prescribed medicine that she gave me. I don't know if it has not cleared up completely, but I was getting this particular pain when the doctor diagnosed me with having a UTI.At that time the pain wasn't during periods it was always there till I diagnosed with UTI and after finished medicine it was gone completely but 2 months later it started with my periods and ends with periods too....I haven't been to doctor yet.any one know what it is? :'(

i too am suffering from a pain low near my right hip. I have been having this pain for the last year. Recently after a bout of a stomach upset my doctor originally said it was IBS playing up, then a week later after constant pain she checked for a hernia and then declared it muscular. A weekafter that still not being able to stand or worlk for more than five min without being being incapacitated by pain she sent me for a transviginal ultra sound. This showed up no cysts but I had fluid on the pelvis. The pain relief I have been using is now not being effected, I am off work sick and to be honest I just want my life back! Any insights - any ideas of questions to ask my doctor please place them on here, I feel like she is not taking this seriously!

I am 19, I turn 20 in less then a month. I have have these pains in my pelvis on the right side that are so bad I am crying, but it shoots to my left side as well, and it shoots up my back. i was in a car accident in 07, a really bad one, I had my splean removed and my ribs broken. I don't know if that has anything to do with the pain or not, but it hurts so bad, I have taken pain pills, muscle cream, and a heating pad on my pelvis: And nothing is helping, If anyone has a guess I would be so greatful.

Hello , I read all of your comments and stories , and I'm having similar problems with the pain , but I'm only 13 . I've had these pains even before I decided to really see what it is . My mom has made an appointment with my doctor though . I just hope its not anything really serious . . .

If you are still having these pain you should try this herbal supplement that I am trying. I been having problems like yours for about 5 years  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** private e-mails not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use
I didn't want to at first but when I went back to the doctor regarding this pain they just didn't know what was causing it. The pain comes about 1 to 2 week before my period and it's sharp and cramping. Now that I am taking this herbal supplement I don't have these sharp pain any more. I don't know if it will work for you like it did with me, but I just wanted to give some info on what helped me. If you don't have anymore of this pain or if the doctor already found out what is going on, than I am happy for you. Don't give up, keep on searching for an answer.

Hi im 22 and ihave had the same sort of pains, my dr sent me for an ultrasound scan and found nothing. So I still don't know what it is. But what I can say is ask your doctor for methanomic acid tablets they are strong pain killers so it does help. Can I just ask doese your pain come all of a sudden then cool down abit (sort of like contractions)? Mine does.

I'm 14 and I have the same problems, but I don't get my period. My first period was when I was 12, and I get it every 4months. Just last month my mom and I went to the doctor and we figured out I had PCOS. Doctors scare me so I'm not going to have another ovary check up.

I have the same pains as well, but I'm 16 years old. They just started about a week and a half ago and they are so intense, they double me over. The pains are rediculously sharp in my right side, and I was tested for appendicitis but it came back negative. I was told they could be ovarian cysts, yet I refuse to believe something so "harmless" can create such an excruciating pain. It affects me daily, especially at school. I can't focus on my work. I go for more bloodwork today.
