loads of men have them i have them and find that girls dont mind.

but whilst on the topic do they get worse? cus then it gd cyus me a problem to
I am 20 and have had these bumps since I was 13, my advice is don't pick at them and squeeze them too much, I learnt the hard way that this can make them really grow. My doctor said they were normal and I should not worry about them, I found that the less I masturbated the softer and smaller they became, applying toothpaste does shrink them too but avoid contact with your penis as much as you can while do it.
I also have had these bumps on my scrotum and shaft since puberty. i was told by a doctor that they are hair follicles, or i believe sebacious glands. The doctor also said they are completely harmless. my problem seems the same as many of yours. I am worried girls will be grossed out by them and i am wondering if you can get rid of them? can anyone help?
wow guys im 13 1/2 and this had been their about 6 months and thats exactly wat i got i know its not a disies im gessing cause ive asked my mom and she said my older bro in colege has had the same thing and the doctor said 2 him it was normal and gest a little thing youle have 2 live with.they ich some times after mastubation admitedly :-( because ive been looking it up all over the web !!!! google images and all i see is people saying genetal herpies but they look nothing like me. ive never had sexual contact befor and i plan 2 be safe all my life though 1 day i hpoe 2 have kids and dont want this 2 get in the way of a relationship :-D well im finaly glad 2 have found this site beacuse all my answers were cleard by my mom and this web page in 1 night :-) thx for posting guys
i've never tried toothpaste on my fordyce spots, but if you regularly apply tretinoin cream (0.05% is what i have) once a day then it will definitely make them less visible. this stuff will dry the skin until it peels, and eventually make them less visible
My boyfriend seems to have the same thing that you guys have going on.... We didn't know what they were either, and he said that he's had them ever since he could remember. However, I knew about his sexual past and wanted him to have them checked out. THe doc said they werent any STD and nothing to worry about and that it was just how his penis was. Needless to say, we were relieved and I'm more relieved now because I know other men have this same issue.

Thanks.
Ive done my fair share of research on the scrotal cysts, which are actually epidermoid cysts. Draining them the way a guy a few pages back is a temporary way to deal with them, but as another guy pointed out, the cyst sacs will refill themselves in time. The only way to get rid of them for good is to also get the sac out with it.

When I was a lot younger I tore at one pretty bad thinking it was some sort of really hard to pop zit. After a bit of blood and getting through the layer of skin, I got a grip on the cyst, sac and all, and with a little pulling got the whole thing out. Come to find out not too long ago that the only way to get rid of an epidermoid cyst is to remove it sac and all. (Note that I would NOT suggest the way I did it. I was a frustrated teenager at the time. A sharp instrument was involved. The way I did it COULD have led to infection.).

They can be surgically removed the way I did it, obviously in a much more organized and sterile way. Both ways of course involve anasthesia so you dont feel a thing. One way is for the doctor to basically just cut it out, which usually involves a couple stitches per cyst. The other way is they make a smaller cut right on top of the cyst, drain it, and through the whole that it was drained they pull the sac out. Using the second way gives a very very high chance of not needing stitches as the whole is small enough to naturally heal (1 stitch may be needed at the most.). With a smaller cut also means either no scar or a much smaller and less noticeable scar. I cant say which way is more cost effective as I havent talked to any doctors about doing these procedures myself. Most family doctors have the needed experience to do this. It's pretty much a simple operation. This should only really be done on the bigger ones. We notice our own imperfections 100x more than anyone else does. The smaller ones will most likely never be noticed by others.

You can also have laser surgery done on it, but again, as stated previously, can leave you scarred.

Overall, epidermoid cysts are just cosmetically ugly, but they wont affect you in any way. They wont affect your "performance", although embarassment may psychologically affect you. They wont do anything to hinder your way of life other than the fact that they are just stupid white bumps. As many others have said, you are you. Many men have these, so if you dont let it discourage you, then it wont affect you in any way.

On a side note, anyone using lotion to masturbate should move on to actual lubricants. Even the lotions that "Wont clog pores" can clog the pores on the scrotum. It's a very flexible webbed piece of skin that is much different than what the lotion is SUPPOSED to be used for. It wont clog pores for what it is made for, but the scrotum is just that, what the lotion isnt made for. I know you may be thinking, "When I masturbate, I dont rub lotion all over my balls." This may be very true, but your hand gets lotion on it, and your hand will touch your scrotum. And after you are done, your shaft will hang all over it. It doesnt take much to clog 1 pore.

Using actual lubricants can deter new cysts from arising. For most of us 18+ guys, it's as easy as going to the nearest porn/paraphenalia store. It may feel awkward to buy something like that from such a store, but rest assured that the people who work there arent embarrassed about selling what they sell, and they sell a lot of that stuff to many other people.
yea im turning 13 soon but i got these weird bumps on my u know what and im cared to tell a doc lol also un they itch and theres like 150 of um :/
yeah, i have that problems of the lumps around hair folicles and on the base of my penis. i was worried and went to see a doctor but he just dismissed it as nothing and said many males get it, and there was nothing i could do about it; though they may go away with age... not in all cases, so i guess all us guys can do is hope. good thing they aren't too noticable i guess
hi.
im 15, nearly 16, have been masturbating for two years, and have only gone to 2nd base (fingering and ha****b). i have tiny white bumps all over the shaft of my penis and my scrotum. it is not pearly pastules or whatever, as it isnt on the head. i also find that sometimes i have painful urinations and stopping ones mainly during the night, but sometimes day. im scared i may have testicular cancer, as my frends have mentioned those thiungs as symptoms.
please help.
I have the same thing but, I seem to get one on the shaft that looks like a tiny pimple. Twice it has dried up and and small hard ball (like dried up pus from a pimple) has come out. Is that bad?
Gentlemen, I have read all of your posts about the bumps and symptoms you have. I have also read about your concerns that you may have about engaging in sexual contact with your partner because of questions that she may have, or that you feel some form of embarrassment yourself. Well everything you are feeling is completely normal. As a 30 yr old man I can tell you that the tiny white bumps or spots or a slightly larger bump on the scrotum or near the base of the penis ( looks like a skin tag but round ) is normal for most men. However, if it has you scared then you should still go see a physician just for your piece of mind.
As for engaging in any sexual contact with a partner remember to always wear a condom that is always first and foremost! Also, you should not be ashamed of your body, and should not even think about it. We men do not need any extra distraction while trying to perform.. that is enough pressure on it's own! If your partner says something to you about a bump you may have, just be open with her. And educate her a little. Honestly, especially as you younger guys get older and have more sexual partners, you will find that most woman that have had sexual experience have already seen their fair share of penis's and more than likely way more up close than you ever have. So most of the time they won't even raise a question.
My advice is, get to know your body... it will change over time and you will notice things that weren't there when you were a younger man. If you have more concerns about anything definitley contact a doctor, and as a medical professional myself, Do not be embarrassed to tell them what you are concerned with, and always be honest and up front. Nurses and doctors have more than likely seen and heard it all, and you have no need to worry!
i am just 15 and have small (0.5 - 1 mm) dots on the back of my penis mainly around the bottom and on my scrotum a few are further up and some around the rim of my bellend. I have been sexually active for a year or so.
I have had them for about 4 or 5 years - as long as i can remember looking at my penis but recently i have noticed they are filled with pus i can squeeze them to get the pus out but then they go itchy and sore can someone tell me 1. is it safe to have sex or could i pass it on and 2. What they are and how to get rid of them?

Please help its very urgent and i dont want them to keep growing and more coming up.
i also have them. im 21 and have had them for a few years now. i rather enjoy them tho. i mean they itch like hell sometimes, but if you get a tac or something, you can get the whole sac out. there are two problems though, the initial contact from cyst to tac itches like no other, so its hard to begin. and then once u get a foothold on the cyst and start digging under, it bleeds profusely. otherwise, no problems. doesnt hurt. something to do when ur sitting on the toilet for a little while. just make sure u use a clean tac, dont want any infections down there. its rewarding as hell when u get the sac out, i say go for it.
im 13 and have had them for a couple of months now. At first i was really scared as i thought it was a disease or infection but i looked it up on the internet and apparentley over 90% of men have some kind of spots on there penis so im really not as bothered now. :-D
