pot, but if you didn't want to stop then you shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place
and there are MANY ways to not get pregnant. i'm sure people slip up every once in a while
but sh*t, just quit ! it's not even addicting !! and as for it getting rid of morning sickness..

Well actually marijuana can be addctive and difficult for people to give up so bear that in mind--it isn't the easiest to quit! But it is probably a good idea to quit smoking pot while you are pregnant. What do others think?
so i dont think smoking pot in the frist trimester is that bad, i am prego with my second and i smoked the first 4 months of my first and he is fine. no acting out no adhd nothing. he is actually calmer then a lot of non smoking parents kids. so i say its a personal chioce that people shouldnt judge
Smoking in any trimester of a child's development can lead to lower birthweight and extra digits, believe it or not. It's your prerogative, but remember that you have a small human being in you. It's not my place to judge. Just don't pretend that what you're doing is totally safe!
ADD and ADHD are also hereditary....I am 7 months pregnant, and I do not personally smoke pot. I do know it has good results on the baby and mother. Mothers that are not eating properly most likely aren't getting their daily needed vitamins: especially folic acid (lack of can cause spina bifida), calicum (bone loss, teeth falling out), and so forth. If it helps these ladies get nutrients to their child and help them grow, then I would possibly see that as being a plus.
I agree with everything that is being said here. I have a very good friend who is expecting a baby with his fiance. They like to smoke cigarettes and smoke weed at the same time. The fiance has CUT down everything to maybe a drag or two off a cigarette and a round off a joint. NOW.... my problem is... at 7 months pregnant, she still decides to do that because "supposedly" her doctor said not to stop cold turkey because it can affect the child. Her stupid friends also have told her that. Now being someone with a good health/anatomy/biology background i have a good idea about how this stuff affects the human body... especially during pregnancy. Can anyone confirm this outlandish remark that it would not be a good idea to stop in general because it can "hinder the baby's health". I just find that to be a crock of BS! Please, someone amuse me...
I am 38 weeks pregnat i am 16 years old i quit everything when i found out i was pregnat but weed, and children aid aked me and my boyfriend to go for a drug test this week,and we both have been smoking weed once in a while threw out my holl pregnatcy, befor doing so i read all about it and there wasnt anything major that could happend to my baby, now i regret it..because they are going to find out forsure once the baby is born anyway...do you think my mother will be able to take custady of my baby even tho i live in the same house?
dont worry about it, you wont get drug tested unless you give them a reason to. they cant give you a drug test with out your consent either.
I am writing for all those mothers to be out there looking for an answer of if its safe. I did it occassionally while pregnant with my daughter. I totally regret it now any thing that goes wrong with her health I blame myself and think just how selfish I was to even touch that sh*t. I spent hours on end looking to find if it would be bad to do it and found nothing to give me any warnings of what could happen. I have a huge mistrust in the medical field to begin with so I ignored the warnings of "don't do it " from doctors and looked more to the community and people who had experienced it, i found bad opinions but they said it might be good for sickness and all that,dont do it,dont do anything at all only eat right and take your prenatals. I can tell u its not worth it. My daughter has had different complications with nerves and seeing and I want to kick myself for the rest of my life.I only find comfort in GOD for myself and her also. I thought it was sooo natural but u never know what other stuff they put in there that could be unnatural. So I beg u please be strong! You will be back to unprego soon and u don't wanna have a special needs baby needlessly.Nothing is safe but food and rest right now stay strong mommies ,your baby will be here soon.
i am the mother of 5 kids. 4 of which i smoked pot with my oldest girls are honor roll students. my youngest two are 2 and one they are both very advanced. my 2 year old reads and writes words. and new her abc's at age 2 written and spoken. my 1 year old was tested at birth for Mary Jane and her urine was negative so they tested her mecomium it found a very small amount but before she ever tested positive cps was called by the hospital because i had failed 4 pee test while pregnant. So cps was called in they made my life a living hell for over 6 months. taking away the joy of my newborn and my new member of my family. i believe that this is a violation of my constitutional writes. This was and invasion of privacy that the government and the state think it is OK to just walk in and destroy peoples lives. I understand that there are people out there that are totally against smoking while pregnant but. There ARE NO MEDICAL STUDIES THAT HAVE BEEN DONE ON US SOIL. And the studies that have been done in Jamaica and Europe are for smoking pot for nausea's sleep deprivation, woman that get pregnant with eating disorders . Before you judge and throw your opinions out there do actual research as i have on what medical studies have really been done. they need to focus on the mothers that smoke crack and do coca during pregnancy not the mothers that are trying to make sure there not severally anemic and trying to cope with being able to eat.

anyone who doesn't have MONEY to pay for the cost of their own birthing probably

university education and therefore probably doesn't have any . . . MONEY TO HIRE
AN ATTORNEY TO FIGHT BACK WHEN THEY COME TO STEAL YOUR BABY!!!!
These are NOT situations where a CRACK ADDICT or DRUG ADDICT came into the
hospital by 911 EMERGENCY VEHICLE because she was OVERDOSING and happened to be
pregnant!!!!

So they claim authority to arrest your child for 72 hours without a court order
but refuse to tell you what statute at the time they do it?
So they claim authority to arrest for a 2nd 72 hour period without a court order
but refuse to tell you what statute that is either?
They tell you that they are not required to have an AFFIDAVIT OF PROBABLE CAUSE
that was sworn to under oath and signed in the presence of a judicial
officer????
They claim that there was a report made by telephone by the doctor and that is
all that they have to have????
When you question the doctor he claims that the nurses made the report?
When you question the nurses, they claim the hospital social worker made the
report?
When you question the hospital social worker, the hospital social worker says
she was required by a secret unpublished public hospital policy to report to CPS
who is interestingly enough already . . . STATIONED AT THE HOSPITAL WAITING FOR
YOU TO BRING THEM A NEW BABY which happens to be . . . YOUR BABY!!!!
Neither the CPS or anybody at the hospital tells you the statutes say that they
were . . . REQUIRED TO GIVE YOU 14 DAYS NOTICE . . . that . . . CPS . . . or .
. . ANY OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY suspected you of drug abuse and was
requesting that your blood and/or your NEWBORN BABIES BLOOD BE TESTED so that
you would have NOTICE AND OPPORTUNITY TO DEFEND which would give you time to go
apply to the Superior Court for an INJUNCTION and/or a WRIT OF PROHIBITION that
would stop them from DRUG TESTING YOU AND YOUR BABY????
CPS tells you that since you are NOT legally married they do NOT have to listen
to anything the NATURAL FATHER SAYS and that they do NOT need the consent of THE
NATURAL FATHER . . . to conduct any DRUG TESTING!!!!
CPS doesn't tell you that the statutes specifically states that they need the
PERMISSION OF BOTH PARENTS, MARRIED . . . or . . . UNMARRIED to do any blood
testing.
The CPS does NOT tell you that the STATE STATUTES specifically state that ALL
PARENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE THEIR BABY TO A SECOND DOCTOR OF THEIR CHOICE to

I just found out I am pregnant and I would really love to smoke a bowl right now. My conscious is telling me not too. I think that ultimately it would be my choice to do so but I just can't bring myself to do it (yet?) I am also very early into this process and haven't quite reached morning sickness (if I even get it, I am 9 weeks along). I can't really say that I wouldn't do it if it made me feel better. I do know that people who consider marijuana a drug are living in the past. Tylenol, the only thing you can take while pregnant, is a drug. Right? That's what I thought. I can say that I would rather smoke a bowl of chronic than smoke a tar filled cigarette. As far as CPL getting involved I think it is a little ridiculous since marijuana is being decriminalized in different places throughout the country. These are just my opinions, I am a new mom to be so I felt like responding to this. I enjoyed reading all the posts on this blog though, it was somewhat informative, however biased it might have been. Good luck to you all with your pregnancies and babies and grandbabies!

People need to stop judging others. My sisters has 6 kids and smoked weed for 4 of the 6 six pregnancies. My nieces and nephews are some of the smartest kids I know, functioning well above their ages. There is no study to say that smoking mj does any harm during a pregnancy. Its the mothers choice. Usually this is someone whos been smoking it for years, so they know how it effects them and too probably stay away from the higher grades like Dro and stick to Sess. My sister informed her doctor that she was indeed smoking weed and he told her that as long as cigarette is not in it shes good too go. They prescribe chemical drugs like zoloft through out a pregnancy but yet people look down on weed? a natural herb? gimme a break. ADHD has nothing to do with weed smoking, if anything it should calm them right down (my opinion). And again, people can only speculate as to the supposed "side effects" of smokin weed while pregnant, theres no substantial proof that it does anything, if anything it helps with morning sickness especially if you cant keep anything down!
pfft i'm so glad i'm not an american. your government are a bunch of close minded idiots. they also are all men who don't know how difficult pregnancy can be. morning sickness, lack of appetite, back pain, breast tenderness. then there's any post partum depression after the baby is born. all of these things can be alleviated with a puff or 2 off a joint. furthermore weed is not, i repeat NOT a drug. it is a plant. it just grows like that. if the cps wants to take babies away from people because of drug tests they should test for drugs. there are still women out there who drink during their pregnancys. there are others who use cocain and crack. not only are these women doing actual drugs while pregnant, chances are they will be unfit mothers. marc emery is being persecuted because of your stupid government. new mothers who simply want to enjoy their pregnancy should not.
