It will be interesting over the coming months/years to see what difference it makes to me. I cannot really remember 'me' without it, and have never known myself as an adult without it. I have suffered from depression since I was a young child, but many have blamed the weed. I thought I would notice an immediate difference in me....not yet XD I am interested to see if my mood swings change or my memory improves. I would like to add that, while I have given up, I was not the stereotype of an unachieving smoker - I have two degrees and I am a high-school teacher. I am not proud of smoking it but I think that there are far more negative effecting drugs out there - many perscribed by doctors and of course alcohol.
Lastly - if you take anything into your lungs it WILL lead to a higher risk of cancer, as anything will.
So i think jenny has a very good point it is relaxing BUT very addictive..
And The Ppl who say it not addictive bull@3$$ i cant go a day without it
and i see it is becoming a problem in my life i wanna quit for my family and
be a better mom but i cant!!
Hmmmm i might need help!!!
ANYONE???
One more thing pot "wouldnt be leagal to medical patients if it was harmfull " I think geust should take some benzos like xanax or ativan for a month or two and try quitting those see how HARMFUL these drugs really are. Before readnig any of the BS some of these people post do your own research. CANNABIS is a drug that leads to schizophrenia it ups your chances by 500% ..not too mention a billion other things it could cause
No drugs = good health

CANNABIS has NOT been shown to lead to schizophrenia. there have only been associations with it. the author of that article above used a very good example of association, "if i performed a raindance, and it later rained, imagine a newspaper article coming out with the headlines reading, "STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT PERFORMING A RAINDANCE, CAUSES RAINY WEATHER TO OCCUR"" in essence, i could create an association between EVERYTHING.
that is what scientists have come up with, regarding cannabis and schizophrenia. without isolation of the cause and effect (explained in the article) there is no scientific evidence that weed causes schizophrenia.
so please, rage somewhere else kid.
As a past weed smoker for years, very moderate, one bowl a night and sometimes going for months without it, the only thing I can say is if you smoke it regularly it makes you feel relaxed, content, etc. But I noticed sometimes more depression, feeling sad and sometimes minor anger without it. I feel it is a state of mind and nothing you can not control. I am against minors smoking, against smoking pot all day and also for legalizing pot with the same rules as alcohol. I feel it is wrong not to allow pot for anyone sick, terminal as sometimes it is the only thing that helps. Pot is safer than most of the legal pharmacudical drugs they are pushing today. It is a common sense issue, pot used in moderation is not going to harm anyone. It is a recreational drug just like alcohol but much less addictive and harmful. Just my opinion.
