Are you better now? My mom has this now for 2 plus weeks and she does not seem to get better.
finally after about 18 days... it ended with a horrible cough. I took Levoquin at the end and that knocked out the ear infection then everything got better. In hind sight I think Musinex made it worse. My doctor said Robitussin D was a better choice.
Levoquin is EXPENSIVE - and by perscription only.
Right! Taking random antibiotics for the wrong bacteria actually kill the body's good bacteria that it needs to help fight off sicknesses. And absolutely if they don't take the antibiotics for the FULL duration, they are only the making the bacteria stronger by killing the weak bacteria cells and leaving only the strongest ones to reproduce.
That's weird I've had a sore throat for about 2 weeks and got a cold about three days ago coughing runny nose ear hurts......... But no fever and idk if it's just a minor cold or what but my throat hurts so much but u have so much saliva in my mouth

While I agree that you have to take antibiotics correctly, the bulk of antibiotic resistance is due to consuming meat produced with antibiotics.
Go to any throat specialist near your ares before it get detrimental.

My symptoms are as follows, sore throat and temperature for 2 days then several days of going to the toilet after anything eaten. What could this be?
I see this message is a year old, but I used to get the same sore throat that lasts 2 weeks. I used to get it every year. I wish I kept notes on it because from what I remember I could pretty much plan the day it would subside after getting it for a few years straight. I was tested for strep the first year and it came back negative, plus my throat didn’t look like strep. It was really red and extremely painful, but there was nothing to do about it but wait. This was like 15 years ago and forgot about it until Covid came about, I remembered.
I have a sore throat where it hurts to swallow and a headache that gets worse when I sit up. Cold medicine isn't working. Any ideas on what it is?
