I have the sore throat and my ear hurts on the same time, it hurts really bad when i swallow, i have had this before and it was strep throat. It is really bad if you dont get proper antibiotics. it is really contagious. so i would go and get checked as soon as possible! when i had it i thought i was going to die, it was so bad. but when i started to take the antibiotics it was gone within 3 days.

hai, I had throat ache in left side which severs in the night time and keeps me up worrying, and uncomfortable in the ear like mild pain which started about 25 days back. I went to doctor after 7 days when it started and who thought it might be viral infection and advised to take steam, drink loads of warm water and gargle and have paracetamol which was not working so then was given anti biotics. Pain went away like for those days when i was having anti biotic course plus 3 to 4 days after that but it came back again. Iam worried now and I am worried if I am having throat cancer because all symptoms can be caused by throat cancer as well. I wil go to doctor tomorrow and get an advice again. I also noticed on the left side of the throat when I saw it was clear no redness but when i pushed with my index finger at back and to left side of my ear in side the throat (which is very very uncomfortable and you feel like choking) some food stuck at the back. I manager to squeez it out but the pain is still persistant and even more. Can any one say any thing like this kind of pain. no fever but in the begining I had body pains and then slight fever only for about 4 to 5 hours which was cured with paracetamol.

Im a high school/pre-med dual enrollment honor student. I have been experiecning the same symptoms. I ran some test using the clinical lab that i do most of my class research in, and i the results came back negative for any common bacterias. Gilene you were on a cruise, more than likely in a tropical area. Your sympoms can be caused by a native airborne or PTP pathogen in the tropical or equinox areas. Those areas are very common for these pathogens. My symptoms of course are the same by my climate is rather different than your temporary. I live in a cold to hot mild climate in Tennessee. My first theory is that my is from a rickasitte pathogen from tick bite, or a blood borne pathogen causing swelling in my thyroid gland amd thus spreading from my thyroid to my inner ear canal causing an inflammation or swelling in the inner ear and throat, or i could be wrong could be simple bacterial or viral infection, or a lymphatic infection. Reply if you have any more information regarding my theories or a legitamit diagnosis.

I am 15 and I do a lot of singing. At first I thought it was pain from overworking my voice but then I gave it a fair rest and it didn't go away. It now hurts to swallow on both sides of my throat and both of my ears hurt. I'm going to the doctor soon but I was just wondering if anyone knew how to temporarily stop the pain because it is getting unbearable.

i have the same thing my throat is very sore and when i swallow sends sharp pains through my right ear, i have been to two doctors in the last 4 days and thinking about visiting a third because appartly nothings wrong..... if nothing is wrong why am i in so much pain!?!?!? i was told by the second doctor that i have sinusitious, because i also have a swallon cheek and a runny blocked nose and headaches accompanied with eye gunk in the mornings, he gave me anti biotics for it tonight, but said my throat and ear is a seperate problem and the anti biotics wont help it, he said my ear and throat looks fine. i beg to differ, i am close to tears in pain, what on earth is wrong?!

So these posts are frustrating. None of them, except a few, are legit. I'm really tempted to just troll you all out. One of the posts is about Mike The Situation...like uhm, what? -_- Honestly, I'm suffering these symptoms and my mom's a nurse and she doesn't know whats wrong. I understand this was posted a year ago, but go to the doctor. It will save you worrying.

I'm experiencing something like this too. I have a ear ache only on left side, the right side of my tongue is swollen, and lastly my through and only on the right side is burning like hell. I will agree it is nasal drip or strep on this one

i have the same thing, but with me its the right side of my throat and in my ear- first i thought it was ear pain but after reading this i felt the side of my mouth on this side, where the tongue covers the side of the mouth and i found some lumps- anyone know what this is?

should i go to the doctors?

(btw i know i shouldn't be putting my fingers in my mouth haha)

ive also been feeling that same thing.it happened when an insect got in my left ear and didnt come out after i had put oil in it...i suppose its an inner ear infection that also affected my throat...throat always seems to be dry and sometimes theres pain from ear down to the neck and throat below adams apple
