Maybe you shouldn't be so offensive when someone cares enough to help.... No meds for that though.

She is perfectly right antibiotics won't do anything for a yeast infection and if anything will just make it worse because they will kill all bacteria even the good that helps to keep the vagina clean there for allowing the fungal yeast infection to grow.
Chances are if you are female and have ever had any kind of antibiotics for anything you will find it has brought on a yeast infection.
Don't be so fast to judge replies as there are far to many people on here that give the wrong advice!

Yeast infections are bacterial infections and yes they do give out antibiotics called because I went to the doctor for a yest infection and they pescribed me fluconazole, an antibiotic that levels out the amount of yeast (bacteria) to its normal levels. Every girl has yest in her vagina but when the numbers of it grow then it turns into a yeast infection.

He was trying to make her feel better and trying to help. There's no need to attack like that just because he's a guy. Wth is wrong with you.

You are totally wrong fluconazole is not an antibiotic its an antifungal medication. Yeast is a form of fungus not a bacteria, yes all vaginas do contain yeast but they also contain bacteria that keep the yeast to a certain level, when you take antibiotics they kill all bacteria in the body wether it be good or bad that then allows the yeast in the vagina to grow to higher levels causing thrush. If you get BV then you will be prescribed some form of antibiotics because that's a bacterial infection and often followed by a yeast infection after you finnish the course of antibiotics.
Please don't be so defensive towards replies if you don't really understand the difference between bacteria infection and a fungal infection.

I almost always have some sort of discharge from my vagina, but the only time I actually worry is if it is chunky, burns like hell, and smells like asparagus. otherwise, if I'm not in any pain then I don't even give it a second thought. Just to be safe you could get tested to make sure it's not an std, because a lot of the time females don't have any symptoms when it comes to stuff like chlamydia or ghonnoreha. Just a thought :-)
