I have had the orange oil in the toilet after bowel movements recently. In the past month its happened 3 times. It scares me because I do not have health insurance to get it checked out. I hate seafood...so thats not it...I have never taken diet pills...or have been on any medications for the past 5 or 6 years...and do not eat anything with olestra/olean in it (it gives me really bad stomache cramps)...BUT I have eaten alot of cashews in the past few weeks....I really hope its nothing serious Im a single mom who makes too much money for free health care...but cant afford the 200 a month for health ins...so I think Ill just stop eating cashews and see what that does.

Hello everybody.

I am experiencing this exact same thing. I am taking the Alli Weight Loss pill. I have read a couple of posts and and i've only been on the pill for like a couple days. If anyone else is taking this pill and are/did have these symptoms please let me know if they go away. Thanks!! - Alex

I agree that the orange oil slicks are unabsorbed fat. This happens when you take Alli Diet Pills and eat too much fat, also, if you take too many laxatives on a regular basis. It's fat leaving instead of being absorbed. The Alli pills worn of this side effect and say it's not harmful. The laxatives doing it is a surprise, not sure if long term its harmful or not. Thought this might help.

You may have acute pancreatitis. You should see your Doctor if this problem is on going.

So, the same thing happened to me...except it wasn't fish I ate. My grandmother made homemade french fries, she used a whole lot of oil which I believe it was olive oil. I freaked out when I notice the orange "oil bubbles", I thought I was going to die...but I read more into it & I'm thinking it has to do with the oil that was used in the french fries...it is still questionable.

Thanks so much for this forum, guys. I feel much better about my OWN experiences with the "orange bubbles," as people are calling them. I'll be sure to lay off the nuts for a while...

Glad I found this forum. Same orange circles here. Was relieved to see that cashews can cause this as I have eaten half a large can of them mindlessly while watching tv over the last two days. Whew. I feel better now. :-)

This has been happening to me for about a week, and has been very concerning, and unusual, as this has never happened before. After reading your posts, I have concluded that this has been happening since I started taking "Alli" A diet pill that blocks the absorption of fat in your diet. Thanks for the info!

I just had white tuna the day before yesterday and the next day I had this yellowish oil poop and until now I'm having it.Then I started to read and try to find out on what is happening to my body.Just now I read about Escolar in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escolar.
Now I'm not worried but I just feel weird.lol But try to read about escolar so you will know the side effect of this.

The escolar, Lepidocybium flavobrunneum, is a species of fish in the family Gempylidae. It is found in deep (200–885 m) tropical and temperate waters around the world. It is also known as Snake Mackerel, and sometimes marketed as "butterfish" or "white tuna", a controversial practice due to potential health problems related with consumption of the fish.
The escolar is dark brown in color, growing darker with age until it is quite black. It is a fast-swimming fish with a prominent lateral keel and multiple finlets. It grows up to 2 m in length.
Like its relative the oilfish (Ruvettus pretiosus), escolar cannot metabolize the wax esters (Gempylotoxin) naturally found in its diet. This gives the escolar an oil content of 14–25% in its flesh. These wax esters may cause gastrointestinal distress in humans called "steatorrhea", the onset of which may occur between 30 minutes and 36 hours following consumption. Symptoms may include stomach cramps, bright orange oil in stool, diarrhea, headaches, nausea, and vomiting.

To minimize the risk of symptoms, control of portion size is recommended as well as preparation methods that remove some of the oil. Grilling will greatly reduce the heavy fat content in the fish, making it edible without ill side-effects. Portions should be no greater than 6 ounces (170 grams).

here's the problem....
I have not eaten any fish, chips, large amounts of vegtables in weeks. Yet i still have these orange oily bubbles appearing in my toilet. I have had no signs or symptoms of being sick and havent stressed much. The only pills i take daily are iron pills, which if anything should make my stools harden and oily free. but thats not the case. I am a 20 year old working a full time job and barely getting by with paying for bills and groceries. I have not eaten anything strange or new in a while so i cannot figure out why this is happening. I have searched all over the internet and found a few things (mostly regarded to fish and chips) but nothing with a concrete explaination. Can anyone help me?

I've had some pink colored balls that look like small little wax bubbles.

i checked if i was taking anything out of the ordinary, and yes i was .

 Salmon Omega3 Oil....

I broke one open on a paper towel and in fact the oil was pink...so i'm thinking it was fish oil. maybe its not very digestable.
