Hello dead thread. Hopefully we can bring this topic back up??!!!
Thank god I’m not alone on this. I’ve been doing mental over this for quite some time. It happens to me in 3 different belly/side stretch marks. Sometimes I can tell it’s brought on by certain pants I’ve worn, other times they come out of no where. And I don’t generally know they are even there until I bump it or graze it and it’s such a odd and stupid pain. The usually start off like little knots under the skin, with the reddish purple color above but it’s not raised. Than a few days later the skin will start to peel around it, than out of no where, with or without promoting, it will just go pop. Super gross. Sometimes puss, sometimes just blood. I haven’t yet Found any ingrown hairs to be the culprit over the years. I’ve always been a chunky girlX mother of 4. Horrible life habits lol. Recently I’ve gained a lot of weight thanks to my thyroid. This is the heaviest I’ve personally ever been. I was 230lbs at 5’4 about a month or so ago. Im working on it. Down to 207 now. Yay lol anyways… these annoying things happen regardless. The most annoying one for me in right in the middle of the “mom pouch” front. Naturally where everything rubs clothing wise even if it isn’t tight. Even when it heals, it never truly goes away, and it’s always reoccurring in that exact spot. Where as the others are random.I’m a clean freak when it comes to personal hygiene. I use Hibiclens Antiseptic Skin Cleanser if I have any open sores or relative wounds. Do a good clean of the area with the hibiclens and warm water, pat dry or even air dry, apply some topical anti bacterial medicine and bandage as you see fit until it heals. Hibiclens is A hospital grade scrub product that I’ve become rather familiar with since childhood. Often times used by medical staff, especially in surgical situations and with bed ridden patients. ( I used to be a nurse)
My mother and siblings are frequent to mrsa (sp?)/ staph infections. I personally have never had one, but I wouldn’t doubt that I’m a carrier. I’m also 32 and still have facial acne issues( cystic acne I believe the dt said)
I’m not a medical professional nor have I actually even bothered to get these things checked out by one… I figure they always go away eventually and luckily ( fingers crossed ) they haven’t gotten infected.
Please take my response with a grain of salt. I’m not ever going to say to anyone “ oh your fine don’t go to a doctor “
Everyone is different. From my experience and that of what I’ve read in this thread it sounds like a lot of us are in the same boat and it’s doesn’t appear to be a life or death situation.
Carry on!
